2 Our Story The Thrasher Family has a long history in the golf industry. Derral Thrasher returned home after serving his country in Vietnam and needed a way to support his family. He collaborated with his brother-in-law Merle to develop a golf ball recovery business called Pearl Divers. The family would clear ponds and lakes of stray golf balls; then clean and stripe the balls to sell them back to the courses for range balls. As the business grew, Derone (Derral s older brother) and Destry (Derral s son) joined the company. Derone developed a vision to clean the recovered golf balls more efficiently and developed a commercial ball washer to improve production. After proven success, Derone later founded his own company in 1980, Derone Enterprises, which manufactured the ball washer and other range equipment. A After Derral retired from the golf ball recovery business, Derone continued the family business tradition, and employed his nephew Donec Destry. Over Vitae the years, Sem Derone Enterprises has developed a line of range products that are simple, smart, and durable. Destry Age 2 on the golf ball drying rack and the Pearl Diver s scuba gear drying in the background. Derone Thrasher retired in 2014 after 35 years in the industry, and his designs remain in production today. Derone passed the business to the next generation, his oldest nephew, Destry. A veteran in the A. industry Proin tristique. himself, Destry has 30 years of experience in the industry, working in golf ball recovery for 10 years and in the range equipment business for 20 years. Joined by his wife, Melissa, the family business was renamed Thrasher Golf Inc. in 2015 to honor all of the Thrashers that contributed to the company s history. The newest B. Curabitur. Thrashers in the golf industry will uphold their family name and tradition, known for its longlasting and quality products. This unit is still being used as the main picker at our facility. As one of the largest driving range facilities in Georgia, we knew we would need a workhorse of a picker to meet the demands. With over 3 million range balls needing to be picked each year, the Innovator Plus has been unstoppable. We were skeptical at first, about using a picker without a mounted front tire. 12 Twister 1 Ball Washer Twister 1 Ball Washer This is the original Twister Ball Washer, made in the U.S.A. of galvanized steel. The true workhorse of the industry. Designed with an open steel spiral surrounding the nylon brush, which allows sand, dirt, and small rocks to fall to the bottom of the water tank while the balls are in the washing cycle. Alternatively, closed spiral designs of other ball washers allow the sand and debris to rub against the balls until the end of the washing cycle, dulling and scratching the balls shell. 14 Twister 4 Ball Washer Twister 4 Ball Washer Tw0-in-One System: Ball Washer and Conveyor The Twister 4 Ball Washer is our combination of ball washer and ball conveyor/elevator together. We have provided all of the cleaning capabilities of the high volume Twister 3 ball washer and added a dispenser loader. This ball washing system is capable of cleaning 30K balls per hour and can lift balls 10 feet off the ground to load most dispensers. There s no need to spend the extra money on a separate conveyor system now.
