2 Welcome to the 17th Adroit Annual Charity Golf Day Adroit Insurance and Risk, along with our community partner the Geelong Community Foundation, will host its 17 th Annual Charity Golf Day at 13 th Beach Golf Links, Barwon Heads on 22nd November We are proud to say the event has grown to one of the largest in the Geelong fundraising calendar, with teams of four coming together to compete for the prestigious Meatball Cup raising much needed funds for the Geelong Community. Since its inception over one million dollars has been raised for local causes, including projects such as the Street Surfer Bus, St Laurence Sensory Garden, Karingal Life Long Learning & Education room and St John of God Hospital. Last year saw Adroit launch the Adroit Charity Golf Day Capital Grant to provide an opportunity for Community Organisations based in or providing services in the Geelong region to apply to fund a Capital Project of $100,000. The 2017 funds were awarded to Bethany Community Support for the development of a men s centre. The men s centre is the first of its kind in Victoria, providing a comprehensive response to and suite of services in the prevention of family violence. We are proud to say the official opening took place on 26th April 2018 and is now in full operation. The 2018 Adroit Charity Golf Day Capital Grant program is now open. Application close on Monday 9th July with the recipient to be announced in August. Your generosity through sponsorship will enable this event to continue to make a lasting difference within the Geelong Community.

3 Introducing The Geelong Community Foundation The Geelong Community Foundation exists to make a positive and lasting difference to people in the Geelong Region. It supports the people of the City of Greater Geelong, Borough of Queenscliff, the Surf Coast Shire, and the southern part of Golden Plains Shire. The Geelong region has needs which are not being met from other funding sources and the Geelong Community Foundation aim to close the gap. Other than the Adroit Charity Golf Day Grant, all funds are retained as capital by the Foundation to build a perpetual and substantial fund for philanthropic purposes, with only the income from this capital used to make local community grants. In 2018, $932,500 in grants were shared across community organisations such as the Samaritan House, Geelong Food Relief Centre, Salvation Army Bellarine and KIDS Foundation. Once again, this year s proceeds will proudly support the Geelong Community Foundation and their great work.

4 The Event On Thursday 22nd November 2018 we look forward to welcoming the participants to 13 th Beach Golf Links for the 17th Adroit Annual Charity Golf Day. The day begins with registration, a briefing and lunch. Out on the course the teams tackle 18 holes in the bid to win the prestigious meatball cup. As they work their way around the course each participant will attempt the putting comp, nearest the pin and longest drive competitions. Refreshments are provided throughout the day to keep everyone playing at their best. The teams are welcomed back to the club house with a drinks reception, followed by a seafood dinner. The Event will conclude at 10.00pm. We look forward to welcoming Cameron Ling as our MC for the evening. The night will conclude with a silent auction and raffle, with a prize pool totalling over $20,000.
