3 Team Notes Limbaugh in sixth season Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh, who is in his sixth season with the Commodores, has led Vanderbilt to 16 team titles in his tenure, with the Commodores capturing four titles this season - the East Lake Cup, the SunTrust Gator Invitational, the Schenkel Invitational, and the Mason Rudolph Championship. Last season at the NCAA Championship, the Commodores won the stroke-play portion of the NCAA Championship in Sugar Grove, Ill. by 12 shots, which set a new record for margin of victory in the stroke-play portion of the NCAA Championship since the tournament changed to a match play format in In fact, it was the largest margin of victory in stroke play since the 2001 NCAA Championship, when Florida defeated Clemson by 18 shots. The Commodores advanced to the Final Four in the match play portion of the tournament. Limbaugh has now led the team to five consecutive NCAA Championship appearances and have finished first (2017), second (2015) and fourth (2016), respectively, in the last three NCAA Championships in stroke play and have advanced to match play in each of the seasons, the only team in the SEC to accomplish the feat. Limbaugh wins 2017 Dave Williams Coach of the Year Limbaugh was named the Dave Williams Collegiate Coach of the Year, the GCAA Southeast Region Coach of the Year and the SEC Coach of the Year in 2017 after finishing as one of five finalists for the Dave Williams Collegiate Coach of the Year in Limbaugh is the program s first Dave Williams Award winner and the first Vanderbilt men s golf coach to win SEC Coach of the Year award honors. All-SEC Selections Under Limbaugh Since Limbaugh s arrival in 2012, the Commodores have had 16 All-SEC selections, two Players of the Year (Theo Humphrey in 2018 and Hunter Stewart in 2015), and a Freshman of the Year (John Augenstein in 2017). Prior to his arrival, Vanderbilt had a total of 10 selections, with seven coming from current PGA stars Luke List (four-time selection, ) and Brandt Snedeker (three-time selection, ). The Commodores were front and center in the selections honoring the best in the league in Senior Theo Humphrey became the third Commodore, joining Hunter Stewart in 2015 and Brandt Snedeker in 2003, to win SEC Player of the Year honors. Humphrey was also named to the All-SEC First Team. Junior Will Gordon was also named to the All-SEC First Team, with junior Patrick Martin and sophomore John Augenstein honored on the All-SEC 2nd Team All-Americans Four Commodores were named to the 2017 Golf Coaches Association of America All-American teams, with Patrick Martin being named Vanderbilt Men s Golf s fourth first-team All-American and the third in the last three years. Matthias Schwab was named to the second team, Theo Humphrey the third team, and John Augenstein to the All-Freshman and Honorable Mention teams. Martin joins Matthias Schwab (2016), Hunter Stewart (2015), and Brandt Snedeker (2004) as Vanderbilt s all-time first-team selections. Three of the last 10 Freshmen All-Americans in 2016 and 2017 were Commodores - Will Gordon, Patrick Martin, and John Augenstein. In all, the Commodores have had 10 All-American selections since Golfstat Rankings Vanderbilt enters the NCAA Championship as the number four in the nation according to Golfstat.com. Career leaders currently on course for Dores Four Commodores currently competing on the course are four of the top five scorers in program history. Junior Patrick Martin is first with a stroke average in 97 stroke-play rounds played, senior Theo Humphrey is third at strokes per round in 128 total rounds, sophomore John Augenstein is fourth all-time with a stroke average in 63 rounds, and junior Will Gordon is fifth with a career average of in 97 rounds played. Current PGA Tour member Jon Curran, who played from is sixth with a stroke average, and PGA star Brandt Snedeker is seventh with a career average. Snedeker played for Vanderbilt from Fact Book 3

4 Team Notes Match Play Records This season, Vanderbilt is 2-1 in match play competitions after defeating Oregon and Illinois at the East Lake Cup in Atlanta to close the fall season and then falling to Alabama, 3-2, in the quarterfinals of the SEC Championship. This season, Will Gordon is 2-1, John Augenstein is 3-0, Theo Humphrey 1-1-1, Patrick Martin 2-0-1, Mason Greenberg is 0-1 and Harrison Ott 1-1. Single Season Records Four of the top 14 single-season stroke averages are being registered this season - Theo Humphrey s average is second, Patrick Martin is fourth with a average, Will Gordon fifth, and John Augenstein 14th with a average. Twelve out of the top 15 all-time stroke averages having come from Scott Limbaugh-coached players. Three Individual Titles In The Commodores have won three individual titles to go along with their four team titles this season, with Will Gordon claiming the East Lake Cup, Theo Humphrey the Schenkel Invitational, and John Augenstein the Mason Rudolph Championship. Vanderbilt has won 13 individual titles since Scott Limbaugh took over the program in Balanced Effort Vanderbilt has had three separate individual winners, 13 top five finishes (four different players) and 22 top 10 finishes (five different players). 20 Coaching Staff Scott Limbaugh, Head Coach Head coach Scott Limbaugh has lifted the Vanderbilt golf program to new heights in his sixth season with the Commodores, Since his arrival prior to the 2012 campaign, Limbaugh has quickly established himself as one of the nation s preeminent coaches. He has mentored three first-team All-Americans, four Palmer Cup selections, a Walker Cup member and 10 total All-America selections, all while also garnering six consecutive NCAA Regional bids and five consecutive NCAA Championship appearances from for the first time in program history. Under Limbaugh, Vanderbilt has won 16 team tournaments -- the most by a head coach in Vanderbilt golf history -- and garnered 13 individual tournament winners. The coach has also led Vanderbilt to a firstplace (2017), second-place (2015) and fourth-place (2016) finish in the stroke play portion of the NCAA Championship, Elite Eight appearances in 2015 and 2016, and a Final Four appearance in the 2017 NCAA Championship. He has also had two of his players participate in a PGA Tour event: Hunter Stewart in 2014 at the RBC Heritage and Matthias Schwab at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Limbaugh s student-athletes have evolved into some of the SEC s best. He has coached 16 All-SEC selections, two SEC Players of the Year (Theo Humphrey in 2018, Hunter Stewart in 2015) and one SEC Freshman of the Year ( John Augenstein in 2017). Prior to his arrival, Vanderbilt boasted only 10 All- SEC players in the entire history of the program. In 2015, Limbaugh became a finalist for the Dave Williams National Coach of the Year. One year later he was named the 2016 GCAA Southeast Region Coach of the Year, and in 2017, he garnered the program s first GCAA National Coach of the Year (Dave Williams Award) and the SEC Coach of the Year, while also winning another GCAA Southeast Region Coach of the Year. The campaign has built on past successes, with the Commodores claiming four team titles - at the nationally televised East Lake Cup, SunTrust Gator Invitational, Schenkel Invitational, and the Mason Rudolph Championship - while three different Vanderbilt players, John Augenstein, Will Gordon, and Theo Humphrey, have captured individual titles. The Commodores were the number one seed at the SEC Championship for the second consecutive season, and Humphrey (Player of the Year, All-SEC first team), Gordon (All-SEC first team), Augenstein (All-SEC second team), and Patrick Martin (All-SEC second team) were honored by the league s coaches. The season once again produced numerous firsts for the Vanderbilt program. The Dores captured the SEC Championship for the first time in program history under a new revamped format in Sea Island, Ga. The Commodores won the stroke play portion of the tournament by six shots, and then won three dramatic match-play victories against Ole Miss, Florida, and Texas A&M to win the tournament. Schwab claimed the victory over Ole Miss with a clutch putt on the 18th to defeat the Rebels, while Augenstein clinched the wins over the Gators and Aggies in extra holes, with Augenstein winning the Florida match with a decisive 10-foot putt on the 20th hole. At the 2017 NCAA Championship, Vanderbilt won the stroke-play portion of the tournament by 12 shots and advanced to the Final Four for the first time in the program s history. The Commodores appearance in match play in 2017 marked the third consecutive year Vanderbilt has appeared in the format, the only team in the SEC to accomplish the feat. Vanderbilt also won the prestigious Nike Collegiate Invitational at world-renowned Colonial Country Club in Forth Worth, Texas, and knocked off a number of nationally ranked teams in the process. In 2017, Patrick Martin and Matthias Schwab earned First-Team All-SEC honors, Theo Humphrey landed on the All-SEC Second Team and John Augenstein became Vanderbilt s first SEC Freshman of the Year honoree. All four players also received GCAA All-American honors - Martin (first team), Schwab (second team), Humphrey (third team), and Augenstein (Freshman, Honorable Mention). In , Vanderbilt won four team tournaments: the DICK s Sporting Goods Challenge, the Schenkel Invitational, the FarmLinks Collegiate Match Play and the Mason Rudolph Championship. Matthias Schwab claimed a share for the individual championship at the Carmel Cup, while Will Gordon tied for the individual lead at the Schenkel. Vanderbilt finished in second at the NCAA Franklin Regional held at the Vanderbilt Legends Club s North Course, a finish which included a final-round 20-under par, 268, the team s lowest round of the season and tied for the second-lowest round in program history. At the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Oregon, Limbaugh s Commodores finished in a tie for fourth in the four-round stroke play and advanced to match play for the second time in two years, the only two years in the program s history the team has advanced to match play. He also ended the season as the No. -ranked golfer the nation according to Golfstat, and he became the Commodores first-ever Walker Cup member August of Schwab was also named as an All-SEC First-Team member and Third-Team All-American by the GCAA. Zack Jaworski was likewise named an honorable mention All-America selection. Schwab and Stewart, who each played in the Palmer Cup in 2015, were named recipients the Michael Carter Award, which is presented the Palmer Cup participant that best represents the qualities and ideals sportsmanship, integrity and upholding of the game. Carson Jacobs was named to the All-SEC Second Team and Theo Humphrey to the All-SEC Freshman Team. The season marked the most selections to the All-America and All-SEC teams in the history of the program. The Commodores also made a splash at the 2015 NCAA Championship, finishing second in stroke play competition before falling in the quarterfinals of match play to eventual national champion LSU in their first-ever appearance in the Elite Eight. He coached Huntingdon to a fourth-place NCAA Division III men s golf finish in 2007, which was its best finish in school history. It was Huntingdon s third straight NCAA appearance as Limbaugh s teams qualified in all three of his seasons as head coach. His first Huntingdon team in 2005 finished ninth before the 2006 team finished 15th. His 2006 team was ranked No. 1 for almost the entire season in Division III. Todd was the 2017 U.S. Open Local Qualifying medalist (5-under-par) in May of 2017 at The Bull in Sheboygan Falls. While playing, Todd experienced high-level instruction for five years ( ) at the Sea Island Golf Performance Center (GPC) in St. Simons Island, Georgia under world-renowned and PGA award-winning instructors Todd Anderson and Randy Myers. GPC is used by numerous professional tour players, including past major champions Stewart Cink, Lucas Glover, Zach Johnson, Justin Leonard and Davis Love III. A four-year letterman at Alabama, Todd played in 43 tournaments during his Crimson Tide career while logging 130 total rounds with a scoring average. A 2007 All-SEC performer, Todd played in the 2005 and 2007 NCAA Championships. He posted 11 career top 10 finishes and five times placed in the top five.
