Brad s Welcome to COW HORSE SUPPLY The Trainer s Choice Continuing what my father Doug started in 1992, we build horse training equipment that is second to none. No gimmicks or claims about the magic bridle. Just Fit - Feel - Function! offers the tools to develop a horse at the rider s pace. I hope you enjoy your Cow Horse Supply experience. Brad Loesch Training Equipment Breast Collars, Pulling Collars...7 Hackamores...8, 9 Rigs...10 Bits...11, 12 Headstalls & Reins...13 Catch us online at: Photography by: Velladean Loesch and Cheyenne Thompson /DL Reverse Twist Snaffles...14 & JD Bits...15 Martingales & Curbs...16 Spurs, Rowels & Leathers Hobbles, Cinches, Pads & Misc Continuing with Cow Horse Supply s concentration on the horse as well as product quality, we are proud to introduce our Pad & Cinch. Pad - Four layer pad keeps salt and dirt from solidifying. Reduces dry spots and pressure points with your choice of shims to fit your horses back. If your horse has special needs please contact Brad at: chsbits@outlook.com, with pictures of horses wither and back. Pad $ Pressure Reducing Shim Cinch - Ranchers, Trainers and Competitiors have found positive results with our cinch! A leather body lined with four way stretch material roller buckle keeps the cinch centered and firm without over tightening. Easy to keep clean. NO NEOPRENE or rotting fibers, just EVEN hold, increased blood flow and comfort for the horse. Cinch $ or More: $ ea. Available Colors: Pink, Chocolate, Red, Olive, Orange, Blue, Kelly Green, Black, Pink, and Turquoise 1
TRAINING EQUIPMENT M-16 $ BB-15 - The Brady Bridle - Wire-wrapped steel nose, twisted mouthpiece set on rings divided by crescent shaped slide bar. Controls movement of mouthpiece. Tie down is to be left 3 to 4 inches longer than where you want the horse s head. A very balanced tool, excellent when working with a stiff necked horse that won t give its head to you. This bridle is great in helping the rider achieve lateral movement with a horse. Doesn t scare a horse, it allows the horse to correct itself. Speeds training by 30 days after leaving hackamore or snaffle. Brady Bowen M-16 - The Machine - Same great benefits of the Brady Bridle with lift and leverage. PP-25 - Pauley Puller - A great tool to gather a horse with your hands. Like a snaffle, you can ask them through the turn. Tune, park, and correct a horse without scaring them. Paul Hansma CPP-27 - Chain Pauley Puller - A more direct approach with older, stiffer horses. TRAINING EQUIPMENT BB-15 $ RPP-25 - Rope Nose Pauley Puller - Not as direct as the Pauley Puller but still allows you to get a hold of the horse s face and pull them through the turn like a snaffle. The Rope Pauley Puller is awfully good to mix its use with a hackamore or bridle. It keeps the stops quick and the turns soft. Neil Roger PP-25 $ CPP-27 $ RPP-25 $
SIDEPULLS TRAINING EQUIPMENT RSP-35 - Rope Nose Sidepull - The free moving rings give the curb and the reins separate motion. This binds the sidepull less and allows the jaw strap to keep the nosepiece in place. I have had trainers who did not care for sidepulls switch because of this one. Brad Loesch BD-20 - Brett Davis Sidepull - Wire wrapped steel nose band attached by rings set on curved shanks. Lots of independent movement on both sides. Choose your curb and just say Whoa! Gives you more leverage in the stop than a regular sidepull without losing lateral direction. Brett Davis RSP-35 $ RBD Rope Nose Brett Davis Sidepull - Flexible noseband for the more sensitive horse. RHSP-37 - Rawhide Sidepull - Classy looking sidepull with a flexible and light feel. SSP-36 - Steel Nose Sidepull - A more direct connection. This steel nose won t give like the rope nose but is still set up with the individual movement of the curb and reins. S-38 - Steel Nose Sidepull - All of the benefits of our regular sidepull, with a more narrow nose to help lead young horses through the turn, and not scuff their nose up. BD-20 $ SSP-36 S-38 3 RBD-21 $ $ w/curb RHSP-37 $ SSP-36 $ S-38 $160.00
TRAINING EQUIPMENT WMS-85 - Winston s Main Squeeze - MOST POPULAR STOP! Get out of the horse s mouth and get a big stop without losing lateral movement. As you pull on one side, upward pressure is applied on the opposite side to guide the horse s head down and around. Enables you to have lateral flexion without forcing the horse s head up. Winston Hansma CHC-87 - Cow Horse Cup - A traditional favorite of one of the stops. Normally ridden a little lower, it is good for collecting a horse at a straight stop. The well designed cup remains stationary for quick contact. There are adjustable noseband knots to keep the headstall away from the horse s eye. We like to use this stop to break a horse, so we can work them in a hackamore later on. You can get them quick to the stop without getting in their mouth. I worked Shania C all the way through, from a three year old to the end. Shannon Hall California Headsetter - Adjustable headstall allows you to fit young and old horses with increased leverage off the nose and jaw. The weight of the headstall along with jaw pressure allows finger tip control. TRAINING EQUIPMENT WMS-85 $ SNT-65 - Stop N Turn - For the rider that likes a swivel shank on their rope nose stop. Traditional design with Cow Horse Supply quality. Fast stop movement along with lateral pull. -80 $ CHC-87 $ SNT-65 $
TRAINING EQUIPMENT TRAINING EQUIPMENT SS-60 - Short Stop - For those who want a well built stop with just a little leverage. Notice the fiador tied correctly to help prevent the jawpiece from hanging or flipping. The noseband can be sized to fit the trainer s needs. It can also be set up with an adjustable noseband which uses curb straps for replacement parts. MO-50 - Morales Snaffle - Another old rig available with a shaped mouthpiece or snaffle as shown. The mouthpiece and curb work together off of the O ring. The nose bar helps collect the horse off of the ring and sets the horse s head. MSWP-61 - Medium Stop w/pad - More leverage than the Short Stop. Arms on the medium stop are bent in a way that keeps the jawpiece centered. Jaw pad softens pull. CHB-55 - Chambone - Works off of the cinch. When the horse throws his head up, the pulley activates the bit. Do not sit on the horse the first time you try this rig. You might be wearing the horse. MSWP- 61 $ IB-58 - Indian Bridle - Probably one of the oldest designs in our catalog. From Indians to Spanish Vaqueros, these ring bits have been used in one form or another. Putting the horse s lower jaw through the ring with M0-50 $ the smaller rings in an upward position allows good lateral movement without gaping a horse s mouth. A nice change from the snaffle. 5 SS-60 $ CHB-55 $ CHB-56 w/bit $ IB-58 $140.00
TRAINING EQUIPMENT TG-45 & CC-40 w/crown upgrade: $ Steel Crown Rope Crown TG-45 - Todd Gag - The combination of our swivel mouthpiece and pigging string sides gives the rider leverage, collection and a quick take-up and release. Great for softening young and old horses. This ain t your Mama s gag bit! CC-40 - Carter Collector - All the benefits of the Todd Gag without giving the leverage back. Once you have collected the horse you do not loose pressure. You have a pair of swivel bits in your hand. It allows me to collect a horse s whole body which enables it to get a deep stop. Versatility and lateral movement are also things I like about this gag. Punk Carter Excellent for barrel horses. Check the horse and feel the horse s mouth through the barrel. Pull him around the barrel without shutting the horse off. GAG BRIDLES 1-4 Square Dogbone 1-4 Smooth Dogbone WC Wildchild - This hack has Way More Whoa to it than your Old Hack does.. PLUS, you have a lot more lift & flex and overall control. Excellent tool for a horse that needs to get snappier on backside of a turn or a horse that needs a break from something in their mouth. A lot of horses seem to run harder in this, move it up and down the nose for different feel or bend as you need it. Tana Renick TG- 45 w/twist $ /16 Twist 5/16 Dogbone Twist 1/2 Twist 1/4 Smooth Pictured with 5/16 Twist CC-40 $ /8 Smooth All Gags on this page are available with the mouthpiece of your choice! 8 BREAST COLLARS & BACK CINCHES TRAINING EQUIPMENT continued DGP-48 - D Gag w/noseband - Gather and collect a horse from the nose before getting to their mouth. A twisted mouthpiece, offered with steel, chain or pigging string noseband. See page 6 for mouthpiece options! BREAST COLLARS & BACK CINCHES BC-2 1 1/4 Breast Collar BC-3 1 3/4 Breast Collar Heavy duty skirting leather backed by harness leather. Sized to fit today s performance horse. Stainless hardware with brass snaps. Tugs are doubled and stitched with a good user friendly feel. BCS - Silver Breast Collar - All breast collars are custom made as specified by customer. Choice of length, width, and silver. Call for quotes. PC-4 - Thinner Performance Collar - The thinner 2-1/4 bars of the performance collar are made with the same feel and durability of the pulling collar. PC-5 - Pulling Collar - The 2-3/4 bars of the collar are made from heavy duty skirting leather backed with harness leather. Tugs are doubled and stitched with either brass or stainless hardware. The tugs run through the swells of the saddle. Collar lies along the line of the horse s shoulder freeing up the front end of the horse, keeping the saddle in the desired position. Built with a stainless steel D-ring. PC-4 PC-5 $ DGP- 48 $ w/o Nose $ BC-3 $ BC-2 $ BC-2 and BC-3 Available With Your Choice Of Round or Roller Buckles! 7 Difference - Double lace on ring for lasting wear and tie down keeper on all breast collars.
PSH-2 - Pigging String Hackamore - Double laced latigo headstall, hard pigging string with adjustable nose knots. Made a touch smaller for more direct contact. Don t be surprised at the stop you ll get with this little rig. PRHB-5 - Pencil Rawhide Bosal - Follow up a day or two of riding the pigging string hackamore with this durable yet refined rawhide bosal. Comes with a great 3/8 latigo headstall that compliments the horse s head. SH-15 Ship Rope Hackamore Reins - Double 5/8 braided polyester lb. work load limit. RHB-6 Rawhide Bosal w/harness Headstall - The workhorse of our hackamore line, this bosal is approximately 5/8 at the nose. Made larger to fit older horses with the traditional feel of a rawhide PSH-2 $ hackamore. A favorite of PSH-2 w/reins $ large ranches in Texas. The stout 5/8 harness headstall completes this unit shown w/ship rope reins. LRHR-7, LRHP- 8 - Larry Reeder Hackamore Sometimes less is truly more! As is the case with this hackamore made from a small poly-type cord. The nose band, covered in rawhide and fiador, are tied in one piece with forked hangers for the crown. The brow is cross over style made from latigo. Good for loping and tuning on a horse because of the way we tie the reins into the hackamore. Knots work as a jawpiece. 10 HACKAMORES HACKAMORES MH-9 Mitchell Hackamore - With flexible, wire wrapped nose, you get a quick take up and release below the jaw. You get a lot of respect with this hackamore. John Mitchell SNH-10 Steel Nose Hackamore - I like this hackamore because the flexible chain jawpiece allows pressure to be applied to the side of the horse s face.
