1 Hello everyone IT S TIME FOR THE UQHA RACING & BARREL BRED HORSE SALE Here is all the information you need to consign your horses to the 2015 UQHA Racing & Barrel Bred Horse Sale. The sale is being held on september 12th at the Salt Lake County Equestrian in South Jordan, Utah. Please look it over and get your consignments into me as soon as possible to avoid the late fees. Sara Vaessen pedigrees will be doing the sale catalog again this year. This is the perfect place to have a lot of people be able to see your horses as in the past we have had great crowd with people coming from 5 different states to attend the sale. We will be having two sessions this year: race-bred horses and barrel-bred horses. This will be excellent place for the two industries merge. The intermountain area is very positive now with all the excitement and success of racing in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming so now is the time to consign your horses of all ages. 4 2015 Utah Quarter Horse Fall Sale Saturday, September 12, Preview at 11:00 am - Sale at 1:00 pm. Salt Lake County Equestrian Park and Events Center South 2200 West - South Jordan, UT Consignment Deadline July 1, 2015 Regulations governing the 2015 Utah Quarter Horse Fall Sale, September 13, Before signing please read carefully. The sale will consist of registered race-bred quarter horses open to all ages. All registration papers, transfers, breeder s certificates and entry fees must accompany the entry for each consignment. Title to each Animal must be free from all adverse claims to ownership. An entry fee of $275 must accompany entry. In addition to the entry fee, 6% of the final recognized bid or $100, whichever is greater, will be deducted from sale proceeds. There will be a 4% fee applied to horses that are repurchased. Following July 1, 2015 entries will be accepted until July 31, 2015 for a late entry fee of $ Absolutly no consignment accepted after August 1, 2015 Horses may be withdrawn from the sale with the following conditions. Horses withdrawn from the sale after they are cataloged and before the sale day will be charged a $200 withdrawal fee in addition to the $275 entry fee, unless they are withdrawn because of a valid illness or injury verified by a statement from an accredited veterinarian. Once the horse is accepted into the sale there will be no refunds of entry fees for any reason. All horses sold after they arrive at the Sale and before they enter the sale ring will be subject to the 6% Commission before papers are released. All horses delivered to the Sale Facility must comply with the health requirements of the Department Of Agriculture of the State of Utah including, a current Coggins test (within 180 days of sale date) and health certificate dated within 10 days of the sale date. Separate and original Coggins Reports and Health Certificates will be required on each horse. Consignor must also have a current brand inspection on horses coming from areas or states where same is required. All sale horses shall be in top condition with acceptable hair coats. If entry arrives at the sale in an unfit for sale condition they will be excused from the sale and no entry fees will be refunded. Consignors must furnish their own feed, bedding, and care for each horse until the horse is sold. Stalls will be furnished and pre-assigned. The initial bedding will be provided. A sale halter and lead will be provided for each entry. All responsibilities and guarantees lie solely between Buyer and Consignor. Except as otherwise announced by the announcer at the time of sale, the Consignor represents and warrants unto Buyer as follows: (1) The horse is sound of eyes, wind and limb, (2) the horse is not a cribber, (3) the horse has not been nerved or does not have navicular disease, (4) the sex or condition of a gelding or ridgeling is as described in the catalog, and (5) a colt or stallion at least 18 months of age does possess, at the time of the sale, two testicles descended to the scrotum. If the horse has any of the abovedescribed defects the consignor must advise the Sales Management so that the proper announcement can be made while the horse is in the auction ring. The entire auction will be recorded on tape. Consignor hereby grants permission to prospective buyer, at buyer s own expense, to have an accredited veterinarian perform an inspection of consignment prior to the sale. Broodmares must be pregnancy tested within 10 days of sale date with the results presented, in writing, to Sales Management upon arrival at sale grounds. Any purchaser of a broodmare sold in this sale may have her examined within 24 hours after the fall of the hammer and prior to the removal from sales premises, by a Veterinarian acceptable to the undersigned. Any broodmare so examined whose pregnancy or breeding soundness status is found not to be as represented at the time of sale may be returned to consignor as unsold and the consignor shall pay the veterinarian s fee for examination. In the event a Buyer fails to pay for or accept a horse, the Sales Management reserves the right to accept the same purchase amount from another person, accept the next highest bid, put the horse up for sale a second time, or retain it for the Consignor as unsold. The Sales Management, auctioneers, employees, UQHA and the Salt Lake County Equestrian Center and representatives, thereof, shall not be liable for any deficit should the final bid or price on resale be less than the initial sale. In any case, where an animal is not paid for fully in cash and or check (including without limitation, refusal to pay, stoppage of payment of check or draft, return check or draft marked Insufficient Funds, or no account or the like), or should conditions make immediate resale herein provided impossible or impractical, Consignor agrees to receive the animal back as unsold, without any liability to the UQHA, auctioneers, employees, UQHA and the Salt Lake County Equestrian Center and representatives, thereof. The UQHA will use reasonable efforts to verify the financial responsibility of the buyer of each animal and that possession of each animal sold will be released to the buyer against receipt of future payment after satisfaction of settlement procedures. UQHA and the Salt Lake County Equestrian Center, will not be liable for the purchase price of an animal if buyer defaults. Consignor agrees to hold harmless and indemnify UQHA and the Salt Lake County Equestrian Center, it s agents or employees from and against any and all liability, debts, claims, suits, losses, damages, causes of action, judgments, costs and expenses, including attorney s fees arising or allegedly arising from personal injury or death of any person or horse, out of the Consignors use of any of the facilities in connection with the Consignors sale due in any manner to the negligence or intentional acts of the Consignor, any of its employees, agents or servants in the performance of the Consignors sale or any act, error, omission or negligence of the UQHA occurring concurrently with that of the Consignor or contributing to any loss indemnified hereunder, except for the sole negligence or willful misconduct of UQHA. Consignor agrees to the terms and Sale Conditions and Settlement Procedures published in the Sale catalog.
