2 President s Report G day Hurricaners, I don't know about anyone else but I feel this year is flying past, here we are preparing for the October clubday and I must say I m really looking forward to us running in the anti-clockwise direction. Running the track this way will offer new challenges to those who may not have done it before. I will always remember my personal excitement as a driver looking forward to opposite direction race meetings back in the days when an AX6 was a new kart. A big congrats to all Hurricaners that competed at the recent Albany state titles, with many podiums from club members and a strong Hurricane contingent is there to see so many of our members representing our club at a state level. At the November clubday we will have our AGM. For those that have not attended one before it's a great opportunity to see exactly we're the club is at regarding membership and finances. If you want to put forward an agenda item or a committee nomination both these forms are available on the club website Again, I would like to thank the constant support and hard work put in by the committee and members there's a good feel at Hurricane that is bought about by great people that have pride in our club. 3 Practice Rules Seniors, Juniors & Cadets must practice separately. KA standard suit, gloves, helmet & footwear must be worn by the driver. Karts, motors & drivers must conform to current KA regulations. Drivers must only drive karts that their licence permits them to drive in competition. Minimum requirement is E-grade licence. Practice form must be signed before entering the track. New licence holders who have not practiced before must undertake KA s Safety Training Assessment before entering the track. (This must be pre-arranged through the Secretary) Non-club member fee is $30. EFTPOS not available. Proof of licence & membership may be required to be produced at the track. No refuelling or chain lube to be used on bitumen areas. No smoking, except in designated areas. The supervisor of the day has the right to exclude anyone from practicing if their behaviour is unacceptable. 3 P a g e

The AGM will be on at the November club run go onto the website under news and info and select forms if you need to nominate as your Under /18 members proxy and also for a postal vote. If you wish to nominate someone for a position on the committee the form is also on the website under the forms section. Go to Events/Calendar on the HGKC website. Scrutineering forms to be completely filled out, neatly, at all race meetings prior to being scrutineered. Bring with you to the scrutineering area and we will process them. 8 Canteen Corner A Big Thank you once again to Kim Locke for Helping with the September Club Run and Amy Sears for jumping in with prep On Saturday till more help arrived. With only 2 club runs left for the year we will be running the stock levels down. We apology in advance if the item your after is not available on club day. The canteen is happy to take orders throughout the day. You can nominate a time or racing round you would like to have your order ready. See our friendly canteen volunteers at the window who will gladly take your order. Don't be shy to ask for something you can't see in the bain-marie our volunteers will gladly make if not sold out.
