Fadi represents a special and unique fascination to everyone. Many breeders have their own Fadi story and how he influenced their opinion of the breed, their breeding program or just generated appreciation in some form or another. He s an attractive package, hard to fault and hard to resist on every account.

4 For Al Shaqab, Fadi is all those things and more Al Shaqab considers him to be almost perfect. But beyond the outer layers of appearance and accomplishment, Fadi represents a far more significant and deeper value, he is the son of a Marwan Al Shaqab daughter. Further, from observation of the first few Fadi foal crops, he too has inherited this most impressive and valuable trait. And while Fadi and Marwan consistently sire differing conformational characteristics in the extreme, they, none the less share this highly desirable ability, an ability that has set Marwan apart and has established his title as one the most influential breeding stallions of recent history. These observations have led us to suspect that Fadi too could fulfill such a role and perhaps, in time, take a place of equal merit to that of Marwan s breeding contribution. At Al Shaqab, this possibility is most apparent. Falah Al Shaqab is just one of the example from the WH Justice daughter Joseph s Just Emotion. He is

9 chestnut and clearly exhibits the most desirable characteristics of his highly accomplished pedigree. When we look at Falah we see the best of Fadi, Marwan and Magnum Psyche. Fadi is really a unique stallion. Via his sire and grandsire, National Champions Besson Carol and Parys El Jamaal, respectively, Fadi has inherited the look and physical profile of Ali Jamaal. The successful combination of Ali Jamaal and Marwan in a pedigree is further reinforced through Fadi s dam, Abha Myra, herself a granddaughter of the Ali Jamaal son, Ludjin El Jamaal. 11 influence of Abha Myra is apparent when considering Fadi s phenotype, and more so when assessing the Fadi foals born at Al Shaqab. It is impossible to dismiss the consistent and significant influence from Abha Myra. To see the foals moving at liberty, their athleticism, carriage, and show-style attitude, regardless of color or dam line, the inheritance of Abha Myra is apparent. As is the case with many Marwan offspring, Abha Myra is, in many ways, her father s daughter. This fact is reinforced by an enviable show record that places Abha Myra among Marwan s highest accomplished offspring U.S. Reserve National Champion (behind the Gazal Al Shaqab daughter Pianissima), Scottsdale Champion, All Nations Cup Reserve Champion and Shajah Reserve Champion. Like the horses of Bedouin legend, Fadi is a trustworthy and loyal companion, preferring to accept cuddles, strokes of affection and, of course, carrots his temperament is another wonderful trait he undoubtedly inherited from Marwan and has proven to pass to his own offspring. At Al Shaqab, at the very least, Fadi s future is confirmed.
