This is a Special All Breed Sale where we will feature a section of good driving horses, starting at Lot# 25. Tack and equipment will sell at 9:30 A.M. with harness, buggies and horse related equipment. Heinz and Susan Schmidt, Verndale Farm of Huntsville have a dispersal of quality used Western tack and equipment. Items include: Large Western Show Saddel 15", (1944) vintage saddle 14" awesome condition, Aussie Campdraft Saddle 15'' w/aussie saddle accessories and saddle bag, bridles, saddle pads and misc., accessories. Plus lots more. Items will be taken right up until sale day but must be here before the auction starts. LOT 1 Driving Horse Preview will start at 10:00 A.M. in outside ring. LOT 5 CHEVY Consignor: Spears, Kara QH/PAINT - GELDING Jan Chevy is a 13 Year Old. he is a brown, white and black quarter horse paint cross gelding. The mother is unknown. He stands 15hh. He is broke for the highway and trails. He is capable of jumping roughly a foot in a half. I personally have not tried to jump him any higher). He is great with trailering and with the farrier. LOT 10 Consignor: Goldworthy, Kate GYPSY VANNER X - MARE 13.1HH - Sturdy Built 11 Year Old Gypsy Vanner X Mare. Suitable for kids or adults. Broke to drive and ride, Rides English and Western and is well scholled in the ring in dressage, push button to ride and knows the moves. Jensen has been hacked all over southern Ontario. Has been on hound exercise and hunted lightly last year. Wonderful mover for a big crossbred and he rides very lightly. They aim to produce horses that have size, bone, disposition and the versatility to have a range of used, from pleasure riding to performance. Last year they sold 42 weanlings averageing $ per head with the top seller being $ that sold to ron McKenzie of Forest, Ontario. Also selling will be weanlings and some riding horses from Huronway Stables, Big Curve Acres and many more. Has done some team sorting here but not recently. Has been ridden for pleasure and used to put cattle in for neighbours. She is good on the road with traffic. Our road is busy. All vaccinations are up to date. Full pasture is not recommended. she will get too fat. She foundered in 2009 and I took 200 lb. off her and have kept it off She gets 20 minutes of pasture early in the morning and 16 lb. of hay a day.
