2 Game Management The topography of Sable Hills Eco Park enables a vast variety of animals to be re-introduced into this special eco system. New Breeding herds will be established and through strict management policies their sustainability will be ensured. In the future the passive capture and relocation of excess game will generate additional income for the benefit of the Home Owners Ass. Hiking Trails Different routes and trails have been identified each offering unique encounters and experiences. Your camera will make an essential companion on these excursions. Leopard Bush Trail This trail covers open savannas leading down to rocky ridges and steep ravines. Mystic kudu bulls hide in these lush green fountain areas and even a leopard might be spotted lazing on a rocky outcrop. Rocky River Trail The initial descent offers panoramic views over the Majestic Mokolo Dam. The trail follows the contours of the river where more often than not, one might encounter crocodiles or the occasional hippo. Rock Climbing Thrill seekers will find some of the cliff faces alluring and challenging. Here Eagles frequently breed on the protruding ledges, protecting their nests with vigor, so be wary. Mountain Biking Sightseeing and exploration by means of your mountain bike will enable you to enjoy the true vastness and size of Sable Hills in a totally different way!

3 Roan &Sable Project The Sable Hills area is one of the last known habitats of Roan and Sable for many a mile. With the right eco system for these rare animals available to us, it is our vision that with good management and the backing of co-owners, these two beautiful species will once again abound on Sable Hills. Carnivore Feeding Sites By monitoring the kills of our larger carnivores such as leopard and by supplementing their feeding habits, a balance can be achieved where they also have a place on Sable Hills free of persecution. Projects will be launched where cameras and even special hides could be set up to view these illusive carnivores at their kills. Boating and fishing Fancy some water sports in the morning, and fly-fishing in the afternoon? Or take a sun downer cruise on the pristine waters of the Mokolo Dam that lies at your doorstep. Sable Hills Eco Park borders on this unspoiled dam, and the main entrance is less than 4 minutes away. Bass fishing the 1000ha dam lined with structure and rocky drop-offs will surely keep your heart racing. The fast flowing Mokolo River will grant you the opportunity to fish for yellow fish, kurper and bass on fly rod. Deep pools and gullies are home to many other species and water creatures. Your only competition to conquer these translucent waters will be the prehistoric crocodile.

4 View points and camps Individually designed lookout-points have been created on strategic parts of the Estate. Each one offering stunning panoramas with picture-perfect views of range after range of mountains. Relax at the different viewing areas and enjoy the ambiance that nature has to offer. More than 50Km of roads will afford you the oppertunity to encounter and enjoy various forms of fauna and flora. VULTURE An open view point with captivating views norhtwards over the rolling hills and the meandering Mokolo River. FISHEAGLE A covered wooden deck directly overlooking the Mokolo Dam, extremely suitable for those lazy sundowners. RHINO Enjoy the view of blue mountain ranges stretching southward accross the horizon and see the blazing undiluted sunsets from this viewing platform. HYENA This fully enclosed hide offers excellent game viewing. Overlooking a nearby watering hole it offers safety for those times you wish to do some night viewing of predators.

5 WARTHOG CAMP An old rondavel style overnight camp overlooking a watering hole. This camp is ideal for two guests, with outdoor cooking facilities and en suite bathroom. Chilly winter nights can be spent in the boma with only night sounds and the crackling fire to keep you company. HIPPO Set next to a cave entrance and overlooking deep pools in the Mogol River that flows close by. Here in your enclosed lapa, your flames will dance against the rock face when you start your own campfire. HORN BILL This is an exquisite afternoon picnic spot, set underneath very old wild fig trees. In the shade one can reminisce about days gone by. The fountain below serves as a natural water supply for a wide variety of animals and birds. BUSH BABY CAMP This multi-decked wooden structure nestles high between the branches of century old trees, whilst another deck provides an opportunity to soak up the sounds of water rushing over rocks only meters below. Equipped for open air camping and cooking and even boasts outdoor shower facilities with spectacular views.

8 Nylsvley Nature Reserve A scenic reserve 15km southeast of Naboomspruit on the banks of Nyl River. Situated between Nylstroom and Naboomspruit, it is the biggest and best conserved floodplain in Southern Africa. This sanctuary is home to a wonderful array of birds, fish and wildlife, and is a RAMSAR site. Waterberg Museum Situated at the orginial Melkrivier School, it offers a variety of interesting information on the cultural history of the area, dating from the first hominids a million years ago, to the people of the late Stone Age (San), indigenous hunters-gatherers, to the first white pioneers and famous personalities such as naturalist and poet Eugene Marais. Golf The Mogol Golf Club, a magnificent 18 hole golf course in nearby Lephalale. Clubs, pull carts and caddies can be hired. This golf course, which is well known for its monstrously big Marula trees (known as sky bunkers) demands attention and precision from every golfer. The 72 par, 6077 metre course, is considered to be one of the country s best Winter courses.
