TAG COSTS, MOTEL AND FOOD ARE CLIENTS RESPONSIBILITY Plan on arriving in the afternoon the day prior to the date your hunt is scheduled in Missoula or Hamilton, Mt. If you fly into Missoula, we will pick you up or you may rent a car at the airport and drive to Hamilton, you may wish to sight in if necessary airport pickup and return charge. SUGGESTED Supply list (What To Bring) 1. Fleece or wool pants, both lightweight and heavy. Fleece and wool is highly recommended as they shed water and are also the quietest while hunting. Down or nylon clothing are noisy for hunting. Please, no poncho type rainwear. 2. Fleece or wool shirts and jackets, both lightweight and heavy. Warm underclothing. Plenty of socks, both wool and lightweight. Gaitors are nice to have in deep snow. 3. Toilet kit and personal items. Comfortable pants, shirts and jacket for evening. 4. Cold and wet weather boots. There are a number of good boots on the market today. We have found that waterproof, insulated; Vibram soled leather boots work well and also rubber-bottomed, leather-topped, insulated pack boots with Vibram or Airbob soles. Vasque, Red Wing, LaCrosse, Timberland, Browning, Wolverine, and Herman Survivors are all good and have excellent traction, which is a must for rough country. 5. Daypack, to carry camera, lunch and small items, gloves, hat, Flashlight, binoculars, match case and knife (extra batteries for flashlight). 6. Two boxes of ammo should be sufficient. (Check your rifle here prior to hunting). We do not recommend bronze, silvertip or hollow point bullets. 7. A hunter orange vest is required in Montana and must be 400 square inches. This can be a vest, shirt or jacket that you wear on the outside, above the waist during rifle seasons. Be sure it is quiet material, it may be camo orange.if you have any trouble getting the above items, check with Cabella s or please get in touch with me and I can suggest where to buy them. Montana 2018/19 Rifle or Archery Hunting ANTELOPE & MULE DEER If you want to have a lot of fun, see a lot of game and get plenty of shooting, try one of our Special Antelope Hunts in Eastern Montana.

The hunts are spot and stalk using 4-wheel drive for transportation along with some walking. Fourteen to 15 inch bucks are quite common and occasionally hunters will take 16 inch or better bucks.

3 Montana 2018/19 Rifle or Archery Hunting ANTELOPE & MULE DEER If you want to have a lot of fun, see a lot of game and get plenty of shooting, try one of our Special Antelope Hunts in Eastern Montana. These hunts usually run 100% success. I hunt on private land and all access fees and transportation during the hunt are furnished. The hunts are spot and stalk using 4-wheel drive for transportation along with some walking. Fourteen to 15 inch bucks are quite common and occasionally hunters will take 16 inch or better bucks. Mule deer up to 36!! These Antelope Hunts are great for the new or beginning hunter. They do not get bored waiting to see game. There is plenty of excitement, great for father/son, father/ daughter or husband/wife hunts. Everyone has a lot of fun and you see a lot of game! The weather at this time of year can be unstable, with rain or snow, but typically we have cool mornings and evenings with warm days. It is a beautiful time of year to be out on the prairies of Eastern Montana. Licenses are on a drawing. If by chance you do not draw a permit, I will transfer the deposit to a hunt the following year, or a different hunt, it s your choice. Applications must be in prior to June 1, You may apply at: License and tag will be mailed directly to you from the Department of Fish and Game. These hunts are conducted in hunting area 700 of Eastern Montana. Accommodations are available to hunters on the Ranch. We will make advance reservations for you once you have booked the hunt with us. These hunts are 3 OR 5 full days of hunting. The antelope are plentiful and so are the Mule Deer, if you would like a combination hunt. You only provide your personal gear, rifle, license, lodging and transportation to the ranch, and back home. We take care of the rest; including the trespass fee.we limit the hunts to a maximum of 4 hunters per hunt. We hunt on private ranches with over 250,000 acres of prime Antelope/Deer habitat. 6 Montana Hunting General Information Rick Wemple offers Archery and Rifle guided fair chase Hunts for: ELK, DEER, BLACK BEAR, ANTELOPE, MOUNTAIN LION, MOOSE, WOLVES AND BIG HORN SHEEP if you have appropriate license and tag. MOST hunts are on a drawing and if unsuccessful, your deposit is transferred to another hunt OR NEXT YEAR. You may apply ON the FOR ALL TAGS The beautiful Bitterroot and Sapphire Mountains with their majestic peaks are home to trophy size Big Game. Our Montana areas for hunting are in the Bitterroot National Forests of Western Montana.We are permitted on over a million acres, in coperation with Lic. # 26005, Ranger Peak Outfitting, including areas: 204, 240, 250, 260, 261, 270 and area 700., hunting access to the Bitterroot Forests is primary by 4 x 4 vehicles. Horses and mules may be used for game retrieval. Most hunting is done on foot. Since there are many remote roadless areas available, our guides try to hunt places with little or no hunting pressure from other hunters. Professional Guides are licensed and trained in calling, stalking, capeing, skinning, and will get your game to a processor or cold storage. All guides, game retrevial, pre taxidermy work, 4 x 4 vehicles and equipment ARE provided. ALL you need is personal gear, food, LODGING, weapon, license and tags. 14 Rick Wemple's Unbelievabalistic Elk Hunting Club is unique, offering a drive to wall tent camp, located in the Bitterroot Valley, on State owned land in the heart of the Bitterroot National Forest of western Montana. The camp is set up in the North Fork of Rye Creek, hunting area 270. Only a 45 minute drives from Darby Montana, a small town on Hiway 93, 35 miles north of the Idaho border, and 65 miles south of Missoula. 4 wheel drive trucks are needed. Camp elevation is 5840 feet. The camp has propane cook stove, BBQ, heaters, latrine, cooking equipment, cots, coolers, gas & propane, gas lanterns, 1st aid, wood, and a licensed guide with his own vehicle. Hunters supply their own food and personal gear including sleeping bags and toiletries. Hunters can hunt straight out of camp on foot, or use guide to get dropped off, or use guide for all day. Radios and GPS units are very helpful. Maps can be purchased for the area and studied, the guide knows the mountain roads and area, and is able to help plan out hunts for hunters, retrieve game and help with the camp. Showers may be arranged in Darby if needed. Most of the country has had forest fire, from back in The mountain forest roads let you cover a lot of country, and between the roads there is a lot of elk movement. Good optics and a gun able to shoot 300 yards at least are recommended. Every year, you as a club member can apply for the nonresident elk tag, or the combo elk and deer tag license. You will validate your elk tag for the area camp is in, , and have a chance to draw a 270- mule deer tag if you apply. Your deer tag is always good for a buck or doe whitetail deer. Your deer tag can also be validated for area which always allows you to hunt mule deer until Nov. 15 approx., each year. The area also has black bear and wolves, which tag you, can get over the counter. The area also has trophy quality moose, sheep and mountain lion if you wish to apply for those tags which are on a drawing. Every year you apply, and purchase the bonus points, you increase the chances to get the Sheep and Moose. Mountain Lion has a pretty good chance after a year or two, and the 270 Mule deer is about the same as Sheep or Moose. A Cow Elk tag is also available, if you like, for first time hunters.. and IF SUCCESSFUL IN SPECIAL DRAWING, MAY GET A COW TAG AS WELL and shoot bull & cow ELK in the special areas. Inquire early!!
