2 Denver Seminar by HITOHIRA SAITO Sensei Jukucho of the Dento Iwama-Ryu Shinshin Aiki Shurenkai, the Direct Successor of the Original KEN & JO Techniques of late Morihiro Saito Shihan Friday, August 31 to Sunday September 2 Aikido Nippon Kan Denver, Colorado, U.S.A. While Ken and Jo techniques have become more commonly practiced throughout the world regardless of dojo lineages and affiliations, these Ken & Jo techniques were catalogued, organized and structured by late Morihiro Saito Shihan after he had been directly taught various weapons movements and techniques by the Founder of Aikido. Hitohira Sensei, a son of late Morihiro Shihan, has inherited the Iwama traditional techniques of the Founder s and has founded the Dento Iwama-Ryu Shinshin Aiki Shurenkai in Iwama, Japan. You are all invited to a seminar for the Dento Iwama-Ryu (the Traditional Iwama-Style), the origin of all Aikido weapons techniques, by Hitohira Saito Sensei. 15 Aikido Instructor Candidates from the Nepalese Army Special Forces will be staying at Nippon Kan for Aikido training purposes during the same period. Hitohira Jukucho looks forward to introducing the Traditional Iwama-Style to these instructor candidates as he believes it will be very instrumental to these instructor candidates to practice the Dento Iwama-Ryu to further the growth and proliferation of the Dento Iwama-Ryu. Also, Hitohira Jukucho has stated that his affiliate dojo members have been highly encouraged to join the seminar in Denver to make one-of-a-kind seminar experience as full and satisfying for everyone as possible. Also, Special Classes by Stephanie Yap Sensei, the Dento Iwama-Ryu 7 th Dan, will be held for 2 days on August 29 and 30 before the Denver Seminar by Hitohira Jukucho! 2

3 The Denver Seminar Special Classes by Hitohira Saito Jukucho will be held at the end of Aikido Nippon Kan s 2018 Summer Training Marathon, which is from August 3 ~ September 2. Participants to the 2018 Summer Training Marathon are eligible to also attend the Denver Seminary by Hitohira Saito Jukucho for no additional fee. If you have a connection or a lineage to Iwama or if you want to experience a different style of Aikido from what you are accustomed to, please feel free to join us for this special, rare opportunity! If you want your registration to be kept in confidence and/or if you want to be removed from any seminar photos to be posted, please consult Aikido Nippon Kan s office staff.
