6 Sensei Kiyoshi Yamazaki Sensei Kiyoshi Yamazaki was born August 16, 1940 in Chiba, Japan. He is the Overseas Chief Instructor of Japan Karate- Do Ryobu-Kai (JKR). He holds a lengthy and impressive karate resume that includes being the only person to hold the Technical Chairman position in USA Karate, Pan America Karate Federation, as well as the World Karate Federation. His martial arts training began during his childhood under his father. In 1956, he joined Konishi Sensei's Ryobu-Kan, and he received his first teaching license for karate in In the same year he had extensive Okinawan kobudo training with Shugoro Nakazato, the current grand master of Kobayashi Shorin-Ryu, in Okinawa. Yamazaki Sensei moved to the United States after being invited to the United States by Dan Ivan in 1969, and he began teaching at Citrus College in Azusa, California. He later opened a dojo in Anaheim, California and participated widely in karate demonstrations with other recognized instructors. Sensei Yamazaki is a 9 th Dan in JKR, and 8 th Dan in the Japanese Karate Federation (JKF). There are only a handful of JKF 8 th Dans, and he is the only person outside of Japan to reach this level. Today, in addition to teaching at his dojo in Anaheim, he maintains a busy schedule promoting the philosophy of Shindo Jinen-Ryu and supervising and developing all the schools of Japan Karate-Do Ryobu-Kai outside Japan.

7 Sensei Howard High Sensei High began martial arts training in 1965 with Aikikai under Harry Ishisaka, and karate with Kiyoshi Yamazaki in Having taught karate since 1976, Sensei High also holds a Shodan in Yoshinkan Aikido. He concurrently trains in the Japanese sword arts of Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu, Mugai Ryu and a system derived from Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu. Sensei High served as the Vice-President of USA-NKF for several years. He began karate instruction in Kansas in 1993 at the University of Kansas (KU). Relocated to Lawrence by the United States Army to pursue a Masters degree, he established a karate club and a credit-granting course at the University. After graduating from KU, Sensei High opened a dojo in Lenexa, Kansas in November In 1999, he founded the annual JKR Elite training event in Kansas. Sensei High holds the rank of Nanadan in Shindo-Jinen Ryu, and is a member of the International Board of Directors for Japan Karate-Do Ryobu-Kai. Sensei High authored the first JKR Instructors Manual. He conducts seminars in karate and sword arts in various locations in the United States as well as abroad. Sensei High is currently the Chief Instructor of JKR Maryland.

8 George Braynen George Braynen is the founder and Chief Instructor of Traditional Karate and Martial Arts Center and Japan Karate-Do Ryobu-Kai in Nassau, Bahamas. Sensei Braynen began his training in 1977 in Shotokan Kenkojuku Karate and Kobudo under the direction of Master Tomosaburo Okano of Japan and a direct student of Gichin Funakoshi. In 1994 he began training under Kiyoshi Yamazaki Sensei of Japan Karate-Do Ryobu-Kai and now presently holds the rank of Rokudan in Shindo Jinen Ryu Karate. Sensei Braynen was a member of the Bahamas National Karate Team and member of the first Synchronized Kata Team to win a bronze medal at the 1988 Pan American Karate Championships and has won many other National and International titles in Kata, Kumite and Kobudo. He later became National Coach for the Bahamas Karate Team. Sensei Braynen also served as President of the Bahamas Karate Federation from , 3rd Vice-President of the Central American and Caribbean Confederation for Karate (CCCK) and is a Pan American Karate Federation Referee Judge. He presently serves as a Senior Instructor for JKR International in charge of developing the Caribbean Region and is a member of the International Board of Directors for Japan Karate-Do Ryobu-Kai. Sensei Braynen is the principal technical authority for the kama and tonfa katas of Shindo Jinen Ryu.

9 Mina Yamazaki Mina Yamazaki began her karate training at a very early age with her father, Sensei Kiyoshi Yamazaki, one of the most highly regarded Senseis of his time. Her training includes time spent in Japan, where she was appointed by second generation Soke Konishi as one of the qualified instructors to teach the original Shindo Jinen Ryu katas. Sensei Mina Yamazaki has conducted JKR seminars in the United States and Australia. A regular competitor, Sensei M. Yamazaki is a member of the U.S. National Karate Team for both Kata and Kumite. Her competitions include the U.S. Nationals, North America Cup, Pan American Championships, World University Championships, Ryobu-Kai World Championships (Konishi Cup), and the U.S. Open. Most recently, Sensei M. Yamazaki placed second in Kata at the 2012 Senior Pan American Championships in Nicaragua, as well as first in Kumite, and second in Kata at the 2012 USA National Championships in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Sensei M. Yamazaki holds the rank of Godan in Shindo Jinen Ryu, and Sandan in the USA-NKF. She is the Chief Instructor of JKR Anaheim.
