2 2 1. About the event Velosolutions, globally recognised for their leading pump track and bike park construction, have teamed up with Red Bull to launch the exciting series. Qualifier events will take place around the world ahead of the grand final where the official Pump Track World Champion will be crowned. The discipline combines a number of traditional bike disciplines, such as BMX (Race & Dirt) & MTB (XC, Dirt jump, DH & 4X) together. The events are classified in 2 categories: Qualifiers Final The Red Bull Pump Track World Championship calendar is available on 2. General rules Riders must be 16 years of age on the date of the competition in order to compete. Exception to the rule, if the local government sets a different (higher) minimum age restriction. Registration for all qualifiers must be made through the official event website An entry is 100% finalised after the organiser has received the entry fee. Registration on site is possible, as long as the event is not fully booked. Riders have to show their ID or passport during the registration process on site. Without ID or passport riders aren t allowed to participate. To qualify for the RBPTWC final, riders have to place in the top4 of their category of a qualifier. There is no federation license requirement to enter a RBPTWC event. Riders are obliged to have their own medical insurance. Riders are free to choose their prefered bike. A minimum wheel size of 20inches is required and the bike must not have an engine. Riders are NOT allowed to use pedals where shoes are connected to the pedal by a clipless system (clip / spd pedals).

3 3 3. Race categories Men Women Maximum number of entries: 110 riders per category 4. Race format Each qualifier consists of a practice session, a timed run, followed by the knock-out heats. The qualifiers can be run in 2 formats: 1. Flying lap: The rider gets up to speed, time starts running as soon as the rider crosses the start / finish timing unit, time stops when the rider crosses the unit again. 2. Start gate: Time starts running as soon as the start gate drops, time stops when rider crosses the finish line. 5. Timed run The starting order of the timed run is determined according to the order in which riders registered for the qualifier. The women s category will be run first, followed by men. Each rider shall get 1 timed run. If a rider runs off track, the rider is automatically disqualified. The parameters of the track will be defined by the sports director and communicated to all riders on the day of the qualifier. The sports director has the final call on rider disqualification. Top 32 riders per category progress to the knock-out heats. Note 1: if less than 32 riders in a category, 16 riders qualify for the knock-out heats. Note 2: if less than 16 riders in a category, 8 riders qualify for the knock-out heats. Note 3: if less than 8 riders in a category, 4 riders qualify for the knock-out heats.

4 4 6. Knock-out heats General information Riders advancing from the timed runs will go head to head in the knock-out heats. Rider pairings for the knock-out heats will be determined based on their ranking following the timed runs, the fastest rider from the timed run will go head to head against the 32nd (see schedule below). The fastest rider from each knock-out heat advances to the next round, until there are only 2 riders remaining who will compete in the qualifier final. The 2nd place finishers in the semi-finals will go head to head in the small final to determine the 3rd place rider of the qualifier. 5 5 Formats The knock-out heats can be run in 3 formats: Head to head - Pursuit Head to head - Dual Solo runs 1. Head to head - Pursuit The track needs to be equipped with 2 timing units. Timing units to be placed in co-operation with sports director. Riders will go head to head riding on the track at the same time. The rider with the fastest timed run has priority on their start position (1 or 2). Both riders get ready with one foot on the ground, the other foot on the pedal, with the crank arm pointing towards the ground. The time starts running as soon as the riders cross their start / finish timing line and stops when they cross it again. The fastest rider will advance to the next round.

6 6 2. Head to head - Dual 2 start gates (prefered). Riders will go head to head at the same time. Dependant on the track layout, this format requires 2 runs per knock-out heat (to be defined by the sports director). Run 1: The rider with the fasted timed run will start on the left course, at the same time the other rider starts on the right course. The riders go head to head and they both set a time. The maximum time difference / penalty is 1.5 sec (for example if a rider crashes). Run 2: Both riders switch lanes. The riders go head to head for the second time and they both set a 2nd time. The combination of both times (left and right course) per rider determines the riders overall time. The winner of the knock-out heat is the rider with the shortest combined time and they advance to the next round.

7 7 3. Solo runs 2 riders will race against each other, in 2 separate runs on the exact same track. The rider with the slowest timed run sets a time first. Both riders only have 1 chance to set a time. The rider with the fastest time advances to the next round. 7. Results The top 4 riders of each qualifier event in both categories advance to the Red Bull Pump Track World Championship final. The winner of each qualifier event will have their flight and accommodation paid for to attend the Red Bull Pump Track World Championship final. The qualified riders are responsible for their own visa documents and insurances. In the event that there are less than 10 riders in one category at any individual qualifier, the rider will qualify for the Red Bull Pump Track World Championship final but their flights and accommodation will not be paid for by the organiser. In this instance, the sports director can choose to make an exception to the rule if they deem the level of competition to be high enough. Qualifier results and qualified riders for the final will published on and on all social media channels.

8 8 8. Rider Obligations Riders insurance To participate in any Red Bull Pump Track Championship event, all participants need to read, fill in and sign the Red Bull participant disclaimer. Participants are responsible for their own insurance. Riders behaviour at events Riders shall act as professional athletes and not bring the organiser or any of their partners into disrepute. The riders shall respect the event organisers, and follow their instructions at any time during the event. Riders safety Riders will bring all equipment needed in a fully operational condition: Suitable bike The bike should have at least 1 rear brake No bikes with any kind of automatic transmission, pedal assist motors or engines No protruding parts on the bike, which can injure other riders (such as pegs) Protective gear Helmet: open face mandatory, full face recommended Long pants or knee protection is mandatory T-shirt is mandatory, long sleeve with pads is recommended Shoes mandatory, no flip flops or open shoes Gloves recommended MOST IMPORTANT RULE - ENJOY & HAVE FUN!
