Delegations must respect the designated training times and the allocated training halls. Each gymnast will have one short training session of 1h30 and one long training session of 2h30 per day. After the Qualification Competition, training will be available to those teams and gymnasts who have qualified for Competition IV (teams Final), Competition II (All-Around Final), and Competition III (Apparatus Finals). Changes to the official scheduled training hours will not be accepted and Delegations will be responsible for following the official training schedules. As a separate entrance and a designated area are provided for the judges in the Yoyogi National Gymnasium, then the judges will be allowed access in this area. Judges will however not be allowed access in the Kasumigaoka Gymnasium, as a separate entrance and a designated area are not provided. ADDITIONAL TRAINING REQUESTS Each Federation may apply for additional training sessions. After the Qualification Competition, additional training requests will be accepted for those teams and gymnasts who have qualified for Competition IV (teams Final), Competition II (All-Around Final), and Competition III (Apparatus Finals). Gymnasts not qualified for the Finals may train at the National Training Center (NTC) once per day upon request (a minimum of 24 hours prior to the requested time and date) and subject to the availability of the training halls. To request for additional training, the Head of Delegation must complete Appendix 19. Each Head of Delegation will be required to submit this form to the Delegation Center a minimum of 24 hours prior to the requested time and date. Changes to the additional scheduled training hours will not be accepted PODIUM TRAINING The MAG and WAG podium trainings will be held in accordance with the starting order of the FIG Draw for the Qualifications (C-I) on October 5 and 6 for the MAG Teams and Individual Gymnasts and on October 3 and 4 for the WAG teams and Individual Gymnasts and will exactly follow the competition plan. See Provisional Appendix 18 (1) and (2) for further information. The Podium Training days will be open to the public. 8. WARM-UP FORMAT AND PROGRAM See Provisional Appendix 18 (1) and (2) for information on the warm-up schedules. The touch warm-up for Competitions I, II and IV will take place on the podium, according to FIG Technical Regulations. Each gymnast is entitled to a 'warm-up' period of 30 seconds (50 seconds in the case of uneven bars and parallel bars, including the preparation of the bars). For WAG vault, the 30 seconds time should allow, as a guideline, for at least two attempts for those competing one vault and three attempts for those competing two vaults. For CI, while the warm-up time is allocated to the whole team in teams groups, the warm-up time belongs to each gymnast in mixed groups. During the Competition I, it is not permitted (unless in exceptional cases) to leave the competition area, the team or the respective working group. As the size of the warm-up hall in Tokyo allows it, the gymnasts may exceptionally return with the authorization of the President of the Superior Jury to the warm-up hall during Competition I, using only the general stretching area. For CIV, warm-up takes place on the podium, in accordance with the Rules. Prior to the start of Competitions III, a timed/controlled warm-up period of at least one hour accorded to the gymnasts will take place in the competition hall up to 30 minutes before the start of the competition. 19/42

20 The warm-up immediately before Competition III will take place in the warm-up hall only and not on the Podium. During Competition IV (team final) and Competition III (apparatus final), gymnasts are authorized to leave the competition hall if their starting order allows it. The gymnasts will be responsible for being present in the Competition hall at the necessary moment. 9. COMPETITION FORMAT AND PROGRAM GENERAL PRINCIPLES Competitions I, II, III, and IV will be held in accordance with the 2011 FIG Technical Regulations including Section 2 for Artistic Gymnastic, Reg. 5.1 and 5.2., the Men s Code of Points (2009 edition version 6) and MAG Newsletters #23, #24, and #25, the Women s Code of Points (2009 edition) and relevant WAG Newsletters, as well as other FIG technical directives. These (restricted) Team and Individual Gymnasts World Championships comprise exercises on each of the various apparatus to determine the Team World Champion (CIV), the All-Around World Champion (CII) and the World Champion on each Apparatus (CIII). In case of ties, the tie-breaking rules as defined in the FIG TR will apply. These World Championships also represent the 1 st Olympic Qualification for London 12. They will serve to qualify for the OG 12 the 8 best ranked MAG and 8 best ranked WAG teams as well as the MAG and WAG individual apparatus medal winners (gold, silver and bronze) if not qualified with another criteria. They will also determine the teams and individual gymnasts authorized to take part in the 2 nd Olympic Qualification. During the entire competition, the gymnasts, judges and coaches are absolutely prohibited from using cellular phones and other electronic devices. WAG coaches will be recommended to submit the written exercises (short hand writing) of their WAG gymnasts at the Orientation Meeting or to the Information Center on 2 October at 20:30 at the very latest. The OC will put the forms received in the WTC boxes. DRAWING OF LOTS The teams and individual gymnasts drawing of lots for CI and CIII was conducted on July 6 th at the Prince Park Tower in Tokyo, in accordance with the Definitive Registrations received and the FIG Technical Regulations. The MTC and WTC Presidents carried-out this draw in the presence of representatives of the Organizing Committee. After the draw, no gymnast can be added to the number of gymnast declared in the Definitive Registration. No additional gymnasts may appear on the Nominative Registration and at accreditation. STARTING ORDER For organizational purposes and internal use only, a provisional MAG and WAG starting order will be established in advance for the teams and individual gymnasts (if more than one per federation). Appendix 6 and 7 must thus be submitted to the FIG office by 2 September. For CI, the starting order of the gymnasts making up a team and the starting order of the individual gymnasts (if more than one per federation), will be decided by the Head of Delegation. This starting order will have to be submitted to the Delegation Center 24 hours prior to the start of the competition at the latest (Appendix 12 and 13). As this competition takes place over two days, the deadline of 24 hours refers to the day the team or the gymnast has to perform. If a federation does not respect this deadline, the gymnasts starting order will be determined based on the bib numbers. The starting order for CIV must be submitted to the Delegation Center 24 hours prior to the start of the competition at the latest (Appendix 12 and 13). If a federation does not respect this deadline, the gymnasts starting order will be determined based on the bib number. The Head of Delegation must hand in the Confirmation of Participation in CII and CIII to the Delegation Center at the very latest 24 hours prior to commencement of the respective MAG and WAG competitions (Appendix 14). For athletes substitution or withdrawal, please refer to part II, chapter 3 of this work plan Change of the lists of Names. 20/42

21 The FIG, in consultation with the TC and the OC reserves the right to apply minor adjustments to the draw and starting order should the nominative registrations received or the final number of participants at the time of the competition generate organizational problems in terms of training, podium training, warm-up and competition schedules. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND ROLL CALL During the competitions, the announcements will be made exclusively in Japanese and in English. The first roll call will be conducted in the warm up hall 10 minutes prior to the start of the competitions. The second roll call will be conducted at the entrance of the Competition Hall 5 minutes prior to the start of the competitions. The gymnasts must remain in position and may not leave within these 5 minutes. The competitors are required to follow the instructions of the OC staff. Please refer to Appendix 4 and 5 for the gymnasts march-in and out. QUALIFICATIONS (C-I) For the Qualifications (C-I), the gymnasts will be divided into groups consisting of teams groups (for gymnasts belonging to the same Federation) or mixed groups (for individual gymnasts) as per the drawing of lots results. The location of groups into the various sub-divisions and the starting order of the Federation in the first rotation of each sub-division were decided by this draw as well. Subsequent rotations will proceed as per the standard rules should the nominative registrations permit it. TRANSPORTATION VISA 43rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships Work Plan Please verify immediately with your travel agent or the Japanese Embassy or Consulate in your country if a visa is required for your travel to Japan. The request must include the function, full name (as per the following order: First Name, Middle Name, Family Name), gender, date of birth, citizenship and passport number, passport expiry date, arrival and departure dates of the Delegation Member as well as the city the visa application support letter must be sent to. Additional general visa information can be obtained at the following link: INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORTATION The travel to Japan will be at each delegation s own expenses. The FIG and the Organizing Committee strongly recommend that each Federation take cancellation insurance for their international transportation. ARRIVAL IN JAPAN Accredited team delegations who: will stay at one of the official hotels will book their accommodation through the Organizing Committee and will fill-in and return to the Organizing Committee their travel schedule paper form for arrivals and departures by 2 September at the very latest, will be provided with local transport from Narita International airport (NRT) or Tokyo International airport (HND) to the Accreditation Center or to the official hotels and back based on the information received. This service will be guaranteed by the Organizing Committee. Upon receipt of the schedules, further instructions will be provided to the Delegations as required. OC personnel will be present at the airport with greeting signs. Upon arrival, the Delegations will thus be requested to make their way to meet with them. For earlier or later arrival, please contact directly the OC in order discuss the local transportation possibilities. SHUTTLE SERVICE Federations who do not stay at one of the official hotels, or do not book their accommodations through the Organizing Committee, or do not fill-in and return to the Organizing Committee their travel schedule paper form for their arrival and departure in due course will not be entitled to use the event local transportation system and will be responsible to be on time. A shuttle service will be available for the local transportation of all accredited persons (if applicable) from the official hotels to the training, warm-up, and competitions venues (following the competition, warm-up, training and meeting schedules) as well as to any other official activities and back as needed. Shuttle timetables will be provided to the Heads of Delegation upon arrival and will also be available at the Transport Office and on display at the official hotels. 31/42

32 The transport office phone number will be as follows: 43rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships Work Plan : TBC at the time of the World Championships at Keio Plaza Hotel (located in the Delegation Center) - Tokyo Prince Hotel Shinjuku Prince - and Park Tower Hotel DEPARTURE FROM JAPAN If entitled, local transportation will be coordinated from the Official Hotels to the departure area based on the information collected from the delegations. Each delegation will be asked to confirm the departure details of their members via the Information Center at Accreditation. A detailed schedule for departures will be distributed via the Delegation Mail boxes. For earlier or later departures, please directly contact the OC in order to discuss the local transportation possibilities. 2. LIAISON OFFICER The Official Language will be English. No designated Liaison Officers will be assigned to escort each Federation. Delegation members willing to be assisted by a translator (e.g. during meetings and media requests or for general event information) will have to send a written demand to the OC until 2 September. Translators will be arranged at the Federation s own charge. 3. INSURANCE The Host Federation, the Organizing Committee and the FIG will not be held responsible for any liabilities in case of accidents, illness, repatriation and the like. The FIG Technical Regulations foresee that all participating Federations are responsible for making their own arrangements to have the necessary valid insurance coverage against illness, accidents and for repatriation for all the members of their Delegation. The Organizing Committee will verify the insurance upon arrival of the delegation members (e.g. cover note or photocopy of the valid policy). Delegation members with insufficient insurance cover must inform the Organizing Committee in writing in advance but by no later than 2 September. The Organizing Committee will subsequently offer insurance at the Federations own charge as follows: JPY1000 per person/day. 4. ACCREDITATION ACCREDITATION PRINCIPLES The accreditation identifies individuals in good standing from FIG affiliated federations participating in the event. It indicates and defines individuals right to access to the different zones as per their functions (Appendix 1 and 2). All participants and officials are required to wear their Accreditation Cards at all times. Any misuse of an accreditation (zone, time, transfer, etc.) will lead to the withdrawal of the accreditation and a fine of CHF for each case. The accreditation is personal, non transferable and compulsory to have access to the training and competition halls, the official functions and the transport system of the Organizing Committee. The access in the Warm-up Hall is strictly limited to the gymnasts participating in the specific competition and according to the warm-up schedule, with their coaches and their medical staff as well as their team manager or Head of delegation with transferable access card. The accreditation card is also necessary to pass the security controls and have access to lunches and dinners. If lost, a new accreditation card can be purchased for JPY The OC will reserve seats for the seating of the accredited delegation members in the designated area in the spectator s seats. These seats will be available on a first come, first served basis. Delegates will be requested not to sit in any other spectator seats within the arena unless permitted to do so by a steward. Reserved places will also be put at the disposal of Press, Radio, Television, Photographers, authorized officials and guests of honors. 32/42
