1 4th Annual "TOP GUN SUMMER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS" Concord, Charlotte, Gastonia, North Carolina TOURNAMENT DATES: DIVISIONS: ENTRY DEADLINE: ENTRY FEE PRE PAID EVENT: July Friday-Sunday--Ages 7u, 8u, 9u, 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u, 14u, 15u, High School Division 1, Division 2, and New Division 3 will be accepted. The Top Gun National Championship format will be a five (5) game format for all teams, and some teams may receive up to eight (8) games played providing we have No Rain Issues. Games will begin on Friday morning for all teams. Championships will be Sunday. No Game Time Request for this Event will be accepted. Teams will be taken on a first come basis until the tournament becomes full. All materials must be received no later than Tuesday, July 11th, If necessary, you must utilize an overnight delivery service to ensure that your entry is received on time with No Signature Needed for Delivery. The 2017 Top Gun Summer National Championships will be a Pre Paid Event for all teams. Contact the Top Gun Office to pre pay for this event. Teams that have won a Free Paid Berth and participated in the Summer Zone Qualifiers will have to contact the Top Gun Office. These teams will be taken on a FIRST COME BASIS until the facilities are full. The entry fee is as follows---coach Pitch/Machine Pitch Teams Entry Fee---$350.00, Entry Fee Ages 9-10u $575.00, Entry Fee for ages 11-12u---$595.00, Entry Fee Ages 13u-14u--- $625.00, Entry Fee Ages 15u, and High School---$ The entry fee is non-refundable after the deadline entry date of Tuesday July 11th, 2017 for any reason, which includes not enough players, etc. Money orders or certified checks must be made payable to Play Top Gun Sports. Credit Cards will be taken at Play Top Gun Sports Office at if needed. TEAM INSURANCE: Each team must provide a valid 2017 certificate of team insurance naming Top Gun Sports, LLC as the additionally insured. TOP GUN SUMMER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS will accept other national programs insurance if Top Gun is named Additional Insured. Insurance may be purchased by contacting the Play Top Gun Sports Office. 1. Completed Tournament T-Shirt Pre-Order Form. Top Gun will only Guarantee Pre Order T-Shirts will be available for your team. Top Gun highly recommends you pre order tournament T-Shirts so we can guarantee. 2. Team entry fee (cashier s check, money order, certified check only, credit card by calling the office ) 3. Completed Team Roster Form---Roster may be revised at team check in if needed. Roster must be posted on the web site prior to first game of the event. 4. Proof of 2017 Team Insurance. Each team must provide valid 2017 certificate of team insurance naming Top Gun Sports, LLC as additionally insured. A copy of the Team Insurance must be with the team at all times. 5. A legible copy of each athlete s birth certificate must be with the team at all times. Birth certificates that are illegible due to poor copy quality are not acceptable.

4 4th ANNUAL TOP GUN SUMMER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017 Tournament Information VENUES: Locations for the Top Gun Summer National Championships: Rocky River Sports Complex Rocky River Road, Concord NC, Hartsell Athletic Sports Complex---60 Swink Street, Concord NC, Frank Liske Park Stough Road, Concord NC, WW Flowe Park---99 Central Heights Drive, Concord, NC, Bradford Park, Davidson-Concord Road, Huntersville NC, Westmoreland Athletic Complex Westmoreland Road, Cornelius NC, Hornet Nest Park, 6301 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte NC, Nevin Park Statesville Road, Charlotte NC, Crooked Creek Park Oakwood Lane, Indian Trail NC,28079 Additional Parks in the area will be used if needed. DIVISIONS: Divisions will be based on the number of teams participating. We will offer Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, AGE DIVISIONS: 7u -Coach Pitch, 8u-Coach Pitch,8u-Machine Pitch, 9u-65-feet Modified Bases, 10u-65-feet open bases, 11u-70feet open bases, 12u-70feet open bases, 13u-80-feet open, 13u-90-feet open, 14u-90-feet, open, 15u-90-feet open, and High School Division. Cannot turn next older age prior to May 1, Born on or after May 1, 2017 is ok. ENTRY DEADLINE: Entry Fee must be RECEIVED BY, Tuesday July 11th, All entry fees must be in the form of either a cashier s check or money order. No personal checks will be accepted. In order to make it a great success, we are asking for your cooperation. It is the responsibility of the coach, designated person of the team, or athlete to return all necessary monies and complete forms by the deadline date. It is not the responsibility of Play Top Gun Sports to make sure all requirements are met, but ONLY TO ACCEPT OR REJECT ENTRY(S) BASED ON DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED. INSURANCE: COMPETITION: Each team must provide valid 2017 certificate of team insurance. All personnel on the field or in the dugout (athletes, coaches, managers, scorekeepers) must be members of their Team and be listed on the team roster that has been submitted to Play Top Gun Sports. Insurance may be purchased, contact the Top Gun Top Gun Summer National Championship play will start on Friday Morning July 21, with all teams playing at 8:00am or 9:00am; Pool Play will determine competition level, leading to a championship bracket. Five (5) game minimum guarantee weather permitting, with a possible maximum of eight (8) games. We suggest all Travel Teams arrive on Thursday evening to begin tournament play on Friday Morning. RULES OF PLAY: National High School Federation rules will be used, and Play Top Sports additions. Play Top Gun Sports web site for rules. AWARDS: 1 st, 2 nd, team trophies and individual trophies in all brackets will be awarded to each Bracket PER AGE GROUP.

5 SOUVENIRS: COACHES: We recommend and suggest you pre-order you Top Gun Summer National Championships Souvenir T-Shirts at We will have them bagged and ready for you at team check in. We will not guarantee any Tournament T-Shirts other than the Pre-Orders at the tournament. A coaches meeting will be posted on line with our tournament schedule. PLAYER ROSTER: Rosters for the TOP GUN SUMMER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS are limited to a maximum of 20 players. Each playing team member must be listed on this roster and must sign the Agreement to Participate and the Athlete Waiver/Release Form. Rosters must be posted on line for this event. COACHES: Each team is entitled to a maximum of four (4) bench coaches. Each individual must be a roster member. The daily tournament admission fee for the (4) coaches and athletes is included in the team entry fee. Coaches are responsible to see that their team meets all eligibility requirements. The head coach will be the team contact for further mailings to distribute information unless the team otherwise states on the roster form. PITCHERS SHOES: Pitcher s are allowed to wear rubber cleats, turf shoes, etc. Steel /Metal Cleats are Prohibited on portable mounds. PLAYER AGE: The age determination date is May 1, The age of the athlete on May 1 determines DETERMINATION: the age division. Proof of age must be submitted with entry. Only the following documents are acceptable: a) A copy of birth record from the STATE, COUNTY, COUNTRY, OR MUNICIPAL OF BUREAU OF VITAL STATISTICS: b) A copy of the delayed registration of birth if the athlete s birth was not recorded on his day of birth issued by and of the same bodies listed above. c) Consular Service Form FS 240, Report of Birth, issued by the US Department of State. d) Immigration and Naturalization Forms I-151 and I-25 and Form 43 R3117, issued by the United States department of Justice. HOSPITAL RECORDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! PROTESTS: Protests must be made verbally with the umpire at the time of the play and before the next pitch. A fee of $ cash (refund if upheld) must accompany the protest. All decisions of the protest committee shall be final. Only decisions involving the misinterpretation or misapplication of a rule may be protested. No protest shall be allowed in matters involving solely officials judgment. Admission Price is a not a Game Guarantee Admission Price. Players and Coaches may enter ball parks during rain situations. Parents and Fan that enter venues during rain are taking a chance of Not Receiving a Ball Game. If games are Not Played there is NO REFUND.
