Live Stats TRITON UPDATES PAIR OF IN-FORM FOES LURK AHEAD: Currently in third place in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) South Division with a game in hand, the Tritons meet two North Division foes for the first time this season in the weekend ahead, both at home. Cal State Stanislaus and Chico State have each been in good form of late, with the Warriors winners of four straight and the Wildcats unbeaten over their last nine. SENIOR DAY: UCSD will recognize eight seniors in a pregame ceremony before its match Sunday at 2 p.m. against Chico State. Those eight are Andrew Keimach, Ian MacAuley, Scott MacBride, Kian Malek, Alex Portela, Harris Rabin, Evan Walker and Adam Zernik. STELLAR DEFENSE: UCSD has allowed eight goals in 13 matches this season for a goalsagainst average of Despite having given up four goals in a pair of losses last weekend, including three goals for the first time this season on Sunday, that average is still under the CCAA single-season record of 0.63, set by Cal State Dominguez Hills in UCSD is eighth in the country in the NCAA Division II in the statistical category. Prior to a 3-0 defeat in Carson on Sunday, the Tritons had gone 11 straight matches without surrendering multiple goals in a contest this year, since a 2-0 home loss in their opener. SCOUTING THE WARRIORS: Cal State Stanislaus took a pair of one-goal home decisions last weekend and has won four straight while only allowing a single goal during this run of success. Senior Nolan Holdridge has a team-best nine points from two goals and five assists. Five others have two goals apiece in a balanced Warrior attack. Sophomore Clint Long (0.80 GAA, 54 saves) has posted five shutouts over the past eight games. SERIES HISTORY: Cal State Stanislaus won in double overtime, 2-1, when these sides last met on Oct. 9, 2011, in Turlock, the decisive goal coming at the 108:01 mark. UCSD grabbed the 2-0 shutout victory the previous time in La Jolla in 2010, and holds an edge in the all-time series. SCOUTING THE WILDCATS: Chico State has gone over its last nine, giving up just three goals. Junior Akwafei Ajeakwa is the reigning CCAA Player of the Week, and has team-leading totals of six goals and 13 points to his credit. Sophomore Octavio Guzman s five helpers are the high for the team, while junior Sam Evans (0.73 GAA) mans the Chico State net. The Wildcats play at CSUSB on Friday prior to traveling to La Jolla. SERIES HISTORY: Chico State won the previous meeting, 2-1, in Chico on Oct. 7, UCSD came away with an overtime victory back in 2010, 3-2 in La Jolla, getting goals at 88:32 to tie and 99:10 to win.
