The Bears welcome back 86.7 percent of last season s points, 87.0 percent of rebounds, and 82.0 percent of assists. A consensus All-Big 12 First Team pick in 2008, senior guard Curtis Jerrells became the 20th player in school history to eclipse the 1,000-point career plateau. This season, the Bears could have as many as four players join the 1,000-point club. N O T E B O O K Sophomore LaceDarius Dunn was one of the nation s top freshmen last year. He finished second on the team with 13.6 points per game, while being named to the Big 12 All-Freshman A year ago, BU made its first NCAA Championship appearance since 1988 and only its second since Baylor has never made the championship in consecutive seasons, and has only advanced five times in program history. BU averaged 81.3 points in to lead the Big 12 and rank 11th nationally. Baylor s 2,601 total points were a school record. Team.
