SERVICE ELECTRIC 2 SPORTS/PATRIOT LEAGUE NETWORK SETTING THE SCENE Lehigh will look to rebound from its largest home defeat of the season when it remains at Stabler Arena to face Navy for the second time in 18 days. Tipoff on Saturday is set for 4:30 p.m. as the second game of a doubleheader with the Lehigh women, who host Boston University at 2 p.m. Both games are part of Diversity and Inclusion Day presented by Lehigh University s Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity. On Monday, Colgate outscored the Mountain Hawks over the final 13:46 of the first half to take control. Lehigh still has won four of its last five games overall and remains within one game of first-place Bucknell with a Monday night showdown against the Bison looming. The Mountain Hawks are two games ahead of Colgate, American and Army West Point, all tied for third place. The Mountain Hawks are set to face an always-tough Navy opponent in their third-to-last regular season home game. Lehigh won the first meeting on Jan. 23 at Navy to snap a mini two-game losing streak vs. the Mids. Last season, Navy beat Lehigh at home on Jan. 27, marking the Mountain Hawks final regular-season defeat of the season (the team would go on to win eight straight games to end the regular season). Not a lot went right for Lehigh against Colgate. The biggest issue was turnovers, as the Mountain Hawks had a season-high 21. Lehigh still converted its shots at a pretty high percentage, making 48.0 percent of its field goals (24-of-50). From three, the Mountain Hawks were 7-of-20 (35.0 percent), led by senior Lance Tejada s 4-of-8 from distance. Tejada finished with 16 points to move to 981 in his career (including his time at East Carolina). Freshman Jeameril Wilson tied a career-high 11 points, shooting a perfect 4-of-4 from the field, while junior Pat Andree had seven points and nine rebounds. Freshman Joe Foley came in and played well, posting six points, three assists, two rebounds, a block and steal in 12 minutes. Out of Foley s 17 career points so far, 13 have come against the Raiders; he scored a career-high seven at Colgate last month. Classmate Nic Lynch also had strong moments with five points on 2-of-2 shooting with four rebounds, an assist and two blocks. Wilson also had two blocks, with freshmen combining for all of Lehigh s five on the evening. The loss came on Lehigh s (and Colgate s) third game in six days. After four full days without a game, the Mountain Hawks will play vs. Navy Saturday then at Bucknell just over 48 hours later. Monday s defeat snapped Lehigh s 12-game February winning streak overall dating back to It also snapped its 13-game home winning streak in February; Monday was Lehigh s first home defeat in the month since Feb. 22, 2015 vs. Lafayette. The Mountain Hawks had also lost three of the last four overall. This came after impressive success; Lehigh has still won 15 of the last 19 meetings vs. the Mids. The teams first met in , a Navy victory. Lehigh s first win was in by a final. LAST MEETING BETHLEHEM, Pa. (1/23/19) For the second time in the last three games, five Mountain Hawks scored double-figure points as the Lehigh men s basketball team led for nearly 37 minutes in an win at Navy on Wednesday evening in Alumni Hall. Senior Lance Tejada led the offense with 22 points, including five three-pointers, while sophomore James Karnik scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half to help Lehigh pull away. With the win, the Mountain Hawks improve to 12-6 on the season, 5-2 in Patriot League play. LAST TIME OUT BETHLEHEM, Pa. (2/4/19) The Lehigh men s basketball team couldn t get much going on Monday evening in Stabler Arena as Colgate jumped out to a 25-point halftime lead, proving too much for the Mountain Hawks to overcome in an final. Senior Lance Tejada led the offense with 16 points, while freshman Jeameril Wilson tied a career-high 11 points on a perfect 4-of-4 shooting. Freshman Joe Foley filled up the stat sheet with six points, three assists, two rebounds, a block and steal. The Midshipmen are 4-2 at home in league play and 1-4 on the road, with their lone road victory coming at Lafayette. Navy has beaten two teams in the top half of the league standings at home in Colgate and American. Hasan Abdullah led the charge on Wednesday with a career-high 23 points to up his season average to George Kiernan leads the way in scoring, coming in at Cam Davis also averages double figures (10.0). NAVY NOTABLES - Lehigh shot a season-worst 26.9 percent from three-point range, but compensated by hitting 20 of its 31 two-pointers (64.5 percent) and 24- of-26 free throws (92.3 percent). - Five Mountain Hawks scored double-figure points for the second time in the last three games, led by a game-high 22 points (13 in the first half) from senior Lance Tejada. Tejada finished 5-of-11 from three-point range, while adding three rebounds, two assists and a career-high four steals. Lehigh s lead reached as much as eight in the first half, Navy pulled within two (including with less than two minutes until halftime), but Lehigh ended the stanza on a 5-0 run, including a Tejada trey as the first half expired, to take a halftime advantage. Navy cut the Mountain Hawks lead to one (56-55) midway through the second half, but Lehigh answered with 23 of the next 30 points to open its largest lead, 78-63, with 3:40 remaining, on the way to the final. - Lehigh s defense impressed, forcing 20 Navy turnovers, the first time the Mountain Hawks D forced 20+ since Monmouth had 27 turnovers on Nov. 14, Lehigh s 11 steals were a season high and most since Nov. 19, 2017 vs. Eastern University, also most against a Division I opponent since Nov. 11, 2017 at Marist. - The win snapped a two-game losing streak against Navy.

Over a two-game stretch (also last Wednesday at Navy), Lehigh missed just 18 two-pointers, connecting on 47-of-65 (72.3 percent). - On Jan. 2 vs. Lafayette, Lehigh shot 11-of-14 from three-point range, with the 78.9 percentage standing as the best single-game percentage by any team in the nation this season. - The Mountain Hawks also hit 19-of-20 free throws, becoming the first Division I team to shoot 75 percent from three and 95 percent from the charity stripe in the same game since Temple in 2010 vs. Rhode Island. Cohen scored 51 points on 20-of-28 shooting over a pair of games last week, helping the Mountain Hawks to road victories to improve to 15-6 on the season, 8-2 in league play. The weekly award marks Cohen s first of his career while it s Lehigh s first Player of the Week award of the season and third weekly award overall (with Nic Lynch and Jeameril Wilson each winning Rookie of the Week in November). However, from there, the Mountain Hawks held a edge the rest of the way, using a 13-0 run to pull even at 58 with 7:54 remaining. Lehigh knocked down four three-pointers in the span of 2:59 to get back into the game, three coming from senior Kyle Leufroy. The Black Knights actually responded to Lehigh s 13-0 run with a 6-0 run, but the Mountain Hawks wouldn t back down. A three from junior Jordan Cohen with 1:28 remaining gave Lehigh the lead for good. - Leufroy led the charge with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the second half alone, finishing with 22 points and 10 boards for his second-career double-double. Ironically, his other double-double came in Lehigh s 18-point comeback at Holy Cross. Leufroy shot 5-of-9 from three while adding five assists and two steals. - Meanwhile, Cohen continued his stellar play with 18 points on just nine field goal attempts, connecting on six of them, including 4-of-5 from distance. Over his last three games, Cohen has 83 points on 32-of-42 shooting (76.2 percent). - Senior Lance Tejada was strong as well, scoring 12 points (nine in the first half to help keep the Mountain Hawks within striking distance). Sophomore James Karnik had 10 points, including some big baskets down the stretch to pull Lehigh even, then later gave his team the lead. Junior Ed Porter made a big impact as well, scoring a season-high seven points in just eight minutes, while adding a rebound and making a difference at both ends of the floor. - Porter helped Lehigh s defense allow just 29 points over the game s final 24:21 after allowing 41 over the first 15:39. The Mountain Hawks held the Black Knights to just 33.3 percent shooting in the second half, while shooting 66.7 percent themselves (16-of-24). JEAMERIL WILSON - ROOKIE OF WEEK (NOV. 26) After scoring 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting over two games, Jeameril Wilson was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week, as announced on Monday, Nov. 26. Wilson is Lehigh s second Rookie of the Week honoree in the first three weeks after Nic Lynch won the award on Nov. 12. Wilson began the week by posting a career-high 10 points, along with three rebounds and two assists in a career-high 25 minutes at Siena. He finished 4-of-6 from the floor, including a perfect 2-of-2 from three-point range. Eight of Wilson s points came in the final 4:07 of the first half to help Lehigh open a halftime advantage, on the way to the win. The Chicago, Illinois native went on to post four points, knocking down both of his field goal attempts at No. 12 Kansas State, helping the Mountain Hawks open a advantage late in the first half. He shot 5-of-7 from the floor. Eight of those points came in the first 4:22 of the second half to help Lehigh turn a six-point halftime advantage into a 13-point lead at the under-16 media timeout. Below is the list. Reed tied Jeff Jones of American coach for fastest to reach 100 PL wins in terms of number of seasons (11th season for both Reed and Jones). In addition, senior Lance Tejada was named to the preseason All-League team. Lehigh finished first in the poll with 145 points, five points ahead of Bucknell in second. Each of the last two times the Mountain Hawks were picked first, they advanced to the Patriot League Championship Game in both 2016 and Tejada is coming off an impressive first season in the Brown and White, leading the Mountain Hawks in scoring (14.7 points per game), which was good for ninth in the Patriot League. Tejada was one of the nation s top three-point shooters, converting 45.3 percent from long distance (77-of-170) (10th in the country). Loyola: 22 REED ANNOUNCES INCOMING CLASS OF 2023 Head coach Brett Reed announced the Mountain Hawks incoming class of 2023 on Thursday, Nov. 22, which features three talented student-athletes from around the country. Lehigh is set to welcome Jakob Alamudun, Jake Betlow and Reed Fenton to campus as freshmen for the season. Fenton comes in from Latrobe, Pa. and Greater Latrobe High School. As a junior, Fenton averaged 23 points and five assists while garnering first team All-Section from Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, along with Pittsburgh Tribune Westmoreland County Terrific 10 honors. As a sophomore Fenton averaged 16 points and four assists, earning second team All-Section. He was also a standout for the PK Flash AAU program. Strong in the classroom, Fenton is a Student Council member and member of the National Honor Society, standing in the top 10 percent of his class. Alamudun averaged 21.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, making 87.4 percent of his free throws as a junior at Marina High School in California to earn a number of postseason honors. He finished fourth in Orange County in both scoring and rebounding. Among the accolades were All-CIF Southern Section Division 3A, first team All-Sunset League and third team All-Orange Country, while also garnering first team Los Angeles Times Daily Pilot Boys Dream Team recognition. Named to the Prep Hoops SoCal Most Improved List, Alamudun had multiple 15+ rebound performances, including a 30-point, 25-rebound effort in the Jim Harris Memorial Tournament of Champions. He was one of Orange County s most productive players, helping Marina to its first season above.500 since In the end, Alamudun was named first team All-Sunset League for three years, was a two-time All-CIF honoree, won the CIF Character Award and was All-Academic Sunset League every year. In addition, Alamudun won the Adidas Summer Championship (Silver Division) with his AAU team, the Cali Rebels. Meanwhile, Betlow has been a standout throughout his high school career, most recently playing at St. Benedict s in New Jersey and helping his team to an unprecedented 12th State Prep A championship title in St. Benedict s was ranked as high as No. 3 in the nation during the season, while being named the No. 1 Independent/Prep Team in the state. Betlow finished the season earning All-Prep honors while this year - as a senior - he is a team captain and ranked among the top 10 seniors in New Jersey. In his freshman and sophomore years, he was part of two teams that combined for a 47-9 record. During that stretch, Betlow won the Somerset County Tournament and advanced to the South Jersey, Non-Public B final. Betlow led Gil St. Bernard with 81 three-pointers and was second on the team with a 12.2 points per game average as a freshman. He was named MVP of the Somerset County Championship and garnered first team All-County Tournament Team recognition, first team All-State freshman honors (by NJ Hoops/Rivals.com), first team All-Conference and honorable mention All- New Jersey (one of only two freshmen named in New Jersey). COMMON HOMECOMINGS Homecomings are common for the Mountain Hawks as head coach Brett Reed tries to schedule games near players hometowns whenever possible. Last season, the Mountain Hawks traveled to USC to face the Trojans on Thanksgiving Eve, marking a homecoming for Kyle Leufroy (Pasadena, Calif.) and Jordan Cohen (Tarzana, Calif.). MCCOLLUM STARRING FOR TRAIL BLAZERS - Former Lehigh standout C.J. McCollum is starring in his sixth NBA season with the Portland Trail Blazers. - McCollum is currently averaging 21.2 points per game this season (before games Feb. 7), averaging 20+ points per game each of the previous three years as one of the NBA s most elite scorers. - Among many highlights, McCollum scored 40 points against Milwaukee on Nov. 6, the most points ever scored by the Trail Blazers against the Bucks. - McCollum scored 35 points in just 28 minutes on Dec. 30 vs. Philadelphia, shooting 13-of-18 from the field. - McCollum recorded his first-career triple-double on Saturday, Jan. 26 vs. Atlanta, posting 28 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a win. - Last season, McCollum was the talk of the NBA on Jan. 31, 2018 when he scored a career-high 50 points vs. Chicago. He became just the second NBA player in the shot clock era (along with Golden State s Klay Thompson) to score 50+ points in less than 30 minutes. - On June 27, 2013, McCollum became the first player in school history to be selected in the NBA Draft. He declared for the 2012 draft, but officially withdrew from the NBA Draft on Monday, Apr. 9, 2012 to return to Lehigh for his senior season. McCollum went on to write a piece published on Sporting News website titled Why I m returning to Lehigh for my senior year, citing earning his degree as one of the primary reasons. Goodman 48 Head Men s Basketball Coach at Lehigh University. In 11 years on the sideline, Reed has become the winningest coach in Lehigh history and has won more than 70 percent of his games at Stabler Arena. During the season, Reed won his 100th career game and became the fastest coach to 100 wins in the history of the Patriot League. The same season, he also became the all-time winningest coach in school history. He enters with 198 career victories and is the Patriot League s second longest-tenured coach. Reed owns a 57.6 career Division I winning percentage, good for sixth in Patriot League history and second among active coaches. Reed s 198 overall wins, and 102 Patriot League victories, are both fourth in league history. Reed has consistently won at Lehigh, eclipsing 20 wins three times in a four-year span from , which also included three national postseason appearances. The Mountain Hawks twice won the Patriot League and advanced to the NCAA Tournament while advancing to the College Basketball Invitational in Lehigh reached back-to-back Patriot League Championship Games in 2016 and 2017, marking the third and fourth times in eight seasons the Mountain Hawks played in the title game. Under Reed, the Mountain Hawks have won 20+ games four times in the last nine years and have finished in the top four of the league standings in eight of the last nine seasons. Reed s teams have played their best basketball when it matters, posting a 22-2 record over the last three Februaries (9-0 in 2016, 6-2 in 2017 and 7-0 in 2018). In his tenure, the Mountain Hawks are in the month of February. During Reed s time, Lehigh has developed plenty of impressive talent, led by two-time All-American and Patriot League Player of the Year C.J. McCollum 13 who was selected 10th overall by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2013 NBA Draft and has developed into an NBA star. McCollum finished each of the last two seasons top 20 in the NBA in scoring (23.0 points per game in and 21.4 in ). Tim Kempton 17 was a two-time Patriot League Player of the Year, who was invited to play for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Summer League following graduation, and is now playing overseas. Reed has recruited at an extremely effective rate, having secured five of the last 11 Patriot League Rookies of the Year. Reed will be most remembered for the season, when the Mountain Hawks posted a school-record 27 wins, along with the program s third Patriot League Championship (and second in the three years). The highlight was a historic NCAA Tournament win over Duke, becoming only the sixth No. 15 seed to ever beat a No. 2 seed and second in the same day (Norfolk State defeated Missouri just hours earlier). McCollum led the way with 30 points as Lehigh never trailed by more than five and was leading for much of the game. Mountain Hawks largest lead came in the final minute (eight) as the squad always had an answer for the Blue Devils runs. That game helped put the Lehigh men s basketball program squarely on the map as over the ensuing days, the Mountain Hawks were featured in an endless number of national media outlets including SportsCenter, ESPN Radio, Fox Sports Radio, Sports Illustrated, USA Today and much more. Entering the following season, the Mountain Hawks were ranked among the mid-major s best teams by numerous outlets. The season also featured a school record for nonleague wins (12), the Mountain Hawks shattered the program s previous wins record of 22 (also set by a Reed-led team). Along the way, Lehigh played tough against power conference foes, including NCAA Tournament No. 1 seed Michigan State when the Mountain Hawks held a lead at the half. The Mountain Hawks earned two more wins against power conference foes during the season as Lehigh took a big step forward in its quest to return to championship contention. The Mountain Hawks season was highlighted by two wins over power conference opponents DePaul and Arizona State, and a tight loss to eventual No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament Villanova. After a slow start to Patriot League play, the Mountain Hawks rebounded by winning seven-of-eight games midway through the league schedule. Late in the season, Lehigh dominated eventual regular season champion Bucknell to clinch a home game in the Patriot League Quarterfinals. Ross set a single-game record with 14 assists in Lehigh s thrilling win at Arizona State. Lehigh rebounded from a slow start in winning 11 straight games beginning in early February, tying the program s 90-year school record. The Mountain Hawks surged to the No. 2 seed in the league tournament and went on to host the quarterfinals, semifinals and championship game. It marked the sixth time in seven seasons that Lehigh has played at least one Patriot League Tournament game at home. The Mountain Hawks wrapped up an undefeated February, their first undefeated month since November of When all was said and done, Lehigh finished the season with a school-record 13 Patriot League victories. Kempton and Ross were each named first team All-Patriot League, marking the first time in school history Lehigh has featured multiple first team honorees. Ross broke the school s single-season record for assists, posting 194. The Mountain Hawks finished the season with a record, tied for second in the league standings before defeating Colgate and Boston University in the Patriot League Tournament to reach their second straight title game. Among Lehigh s wins was an win at Mississippi State, the program s first-ever victory over the SEC. The Mountain Hawks also defeated eventual Ivy League Champion Princeton as one of four wins over NCAA Tournament teams. Kempton led the league in points (20.4) and rebounds (10.4) and was named a Final Five Finalist for Kareem-Abdul Jabbar National Center of the Year. He also became Lehigh s first-ever participant in the 2017 Reese s Division I College All-Star Game, going on to score a game-high 21 points. In , Lehigh graduated over 4,000 points and 1,600 rebounds from the previous year, but still found itself near the top of the league standings. The Mountain Hawks won eight straight games to end the regular season tied for third place in the league. Among the victories was a thrilling overtime win over Bucknell in early February, handing the eventual Patriot League Champion its last defeat until the NCAA Tournament. Lehigh went on to finish the season 4-1 in overtime. Ross led the charge, finishing his career as the Lehigh and Patriot League all-time career leader for assists. He was named second team All-Patriot League, becoming the program s first-ever four-time All-League honoree. Ross also became the first student-athlete in program history to finish his career 4-0 at archrival Lafayette. In addition to Ross, transfer Lance Tejada was named second team All-Patriot League in his first season donning the Brown and White. Tejada finished 10th nationally in three-point percentage (45.3) while teammate Pat Andree finished 23rd (42.9). In one stretch, Lehigh exceeded 50 percent from three-point range in six straight games. The Mountain Hawks had double-digit makes in eight in a row and 10-of-11, finishing the year 40.6 percent as a team, good for ninth nationally. Another impressive season under Reed came in when the Mountain Hawks finished and played in a national postseason tournament for a second straight season and third time in four years. Lehigh began the season 9-2, including an eight-game winning streak capped off by a win at North Texas. McCollum went down with a season-ending injury at VCU on Jan. 5, but the Mountain Hawks wouldn t go away quietly. Lehigh posted a 10-4 record in league play to tie for second in the league standings. That season, Reed picked up his 100th career win in style as the Mountain Hawks defeated Fairleigh Dickinson, He went on to post his school record-breaking victory in a win at Navy. Reed broke a tie with Tony Packer to become the all-time winningest coach in school history. Following the season, McCollum, the Patriot League s all-time leading scorer, became the first player in school history and second in league history selected in the NBA Draft. Reed s first Patriot League Title as head coach came in when he led the Mountain Hawks to their second Patriot League Tournament Championship, first outright regular season league title, the most wins in school history (at the time) and the most-ever wins at Stabler Arena. They also excelled in the classroom. Lehigh s starting five of Dave Buchberger, Zahir Carrington, Hall, McCollum and Gabe Knutson achieved an average grade point average of 3.2. During Reed s second season at the helm in season, the Mountain Hawks continued to build upon the solid foundation established at the beginning of his Lehigh career. The accomplishments included the most overall road wins since 1991 and the school s first-ever victory over a Big East foe. Hall went onto became Lehigh s first-ever Patriot League Men s Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Carrington was the school s first All-District selection since In his first season as a collegiate head coach, Reed led the Mountain Hawks to the third most wins for a first-year headman in the 108-season history of Lehigh Basketball. Reed mentored the Mountain Hawks second consecutive Patriot League Rookie of the Year in Keefer as Lehigh became the first school in the league to accomplish that feat. In addition, Reed oversaw a defensive unit that held league foe Bucknell to just 39 points on February 27, the second fewest points ever allowed by the Brown and White since the inception of Patriot League play in Reed has recruited and developed some excellent basketball talent over the course of his career at Lehigh. In addition to McCollum and several Rookie of the Year performers, there have been a host of others who have enjoyed individual accomplishments and recognition. Lehigh has also featured high-level performers in the classroom and community as well. Hall was named the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year in consecutive seasons while Knutson was a three-time Academic All-Patriot League performer. Andree and Jordan Cohen were named Academic All- League in Hall, McCollum and Kempton have been named finalists for the Senior CLASS Award while Knutson, Corey Schaefer and Price have been named candidates for the prestigious award. Reed was named Lehigh s head coach on August 10, He had been an assistant at Lehigh for the previous five years, serving as associate head coach for the campaign. Prior to his time at Lehigh, Reed served as the top assistant coach at High Point University in North Carolina for two seasons. Reed was an integral part of the coaching staff that led the Panthers to the Big South Championship Game in Included in that two-year period, Reed recruited a Big South Rookie of the Year and a Player of the Year. Reed spent the season as the Director of Basketball Operations at the University of North Carolina - Greensboro. He began his collegiate coaching career at Oakland (Mich.) Community College where he was an assistant for his father s program. A native of Waterford, Michigan, Reed attended Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida where he contributed at point guard and helped lead his team to a conference championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. Reed graduated with honors, earning his Bachelor s degree in 1995 before earning his Master s at Wayne State in In 2003, Reed received his Ph.D. from Wayne State University in Instructional Technology with a Cognate in Sports Administration. He is one of only two Division I men s basketball head coaches in the entire nation to have earned their doctorate degrees. Reed was also honored during his academic career with a number of awards including the prestigious Thomas C. Rumbell Fellowship. Wyche has helped lead the Mountain Hawks program to new heights, which includes two Patriot League Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances in a three-year span, along with back-to-back trips to the Patriot League Championship Game in 2016 and A 1999 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Wyche has brought a wealth of professional playing experience to the Lehigh program, having played in numerous professional leagues in the United States and overseas for nearly a decade following his collegiate career. Wyche made an immediate impact as the Mountain Hawks have gone in his nine seasons in Bethlehem while winning the 2010 and 2012 Patriot League Championships, advancing to the 2013 College Basketball Invitational, hosting the 2016 Patriot League Championship Game and making it back to the title game in Lehigh has posted a winning record in all but one season, eclipsing 20 wins on four occasions, while also coming within a single possession of hosting its second straight Patriot League Title game in Wyche took over as associate head coach at Lehigh after Matt Logie departed to become the head coach at Whitworth University following the season. The Mountain Hawks have finished in the top four of the league standings in eight of the last nine seasons. Lehigh has played its best basketball when it matters most, posting a 22-2 record over the last three Februaries (9-0 in 2016, 6-2 in 2017 and 7-0 in 2018). In Wyche s time, the Mountain Hawks are in the month of February. Wyche has coached plenty of talent, including two-time Patriot League Player of the Year and top-10 NBA Draft pick C.J. Wyche has worked with several other top players, including two-time Patriot League Player of the Year Tim Kempton along with recently-graduated Kahron Ross, the first four-time All-Patriot League honoree in school history. Ross also became Lehigh s fifth Patriot League Rookie of the Year in a nine-season span in , finishing his career as the Lehigh and Patriot League record holder for career assists (660). Kempton was invited to play for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Summer League following graduation, and is now one of several Lehigh graduates playing professionally overseas. A four-year member of the Notre Dame program, Wyche averaged 12 points, four assists and four rebounds per game during his time in South Bend as a point guard and shooting guard playing under head coach John McLeod. Also on staff for the Fighting Irish were former Lehigh head coaches McCaffery and Taylor, currently the head coach and director of basketball operations, respectively, at the University of Iowa. Following graduation, Wyche began his professional career by playing for the New Jersey Shorecats of the United States Basketball League during the spring of A native of New York, Wyche s first international playing experience came as a member of Fersped Rabotnicki in Macedonia where he led his team to a 33-4 record and the Macedonian First Division championship. Wyche averaged 21 points, five assists and five rebounds during the regular season before registering averages of 13.5 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals during the Korac Cup. Among his international playing stops, Wyche has also played for Club de Mayas in Mexico, Kouvot in Finland, Niigata Albirex in Japan, Al Rayyan in Qatar and Zain in Jordan. He averaged 26 points and six assists for Club de Mayas in 2002, 17 points, four assists and five rebounds for Kouvot in and nine points, five rebounds and a league-leading six assists for Niigata Albirex in Wyche also played for the Adirondack Wildcats of USBL in Antoni and his wife Jill reside in Bethlehem with their daughters Keilah and Jaya. Harry Morra enters his fourth season as Lehigh assistant coach in following a stint with the program as video coordinator during the program s historic season. After that season at Lehigh, Morra spent the next three years as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at nearby DeSales University. In his first season at Lehigh, Morra helped lead the Mountain Hawks to the 2016 Patriot League Championship Game. Lehigh won its final nine regular season games and saw its winning streak reach 11 (to tie a school record) after wins over Navy and American in the Patriot League Quarterfinals and Semifinals, respectively. He planned and executed an annual Prospect Camp for 50 participants and Team Camp with 30 teams from all over the Mid-Atlantic region. He also prepared and presented scouting reports for 2014 Freedom Conference Coach of the Year Scott Coval. During graduate school at Lehigh, Morra took a year off from DeSales and was Lehigh s video coordinator during a memorable season, which featured a Patriot League Championship and historic NCAA Tournament win over Duke. Morra was responsible for film exchange, advanced scouting and game/practice video breakdown. Morra has worked camps at Duke, Villanova and Lehigh. After college, he was both a player and then assistant coach for Belfast Star of the Sea, which competes in the 12-team Irish Superleague. He also has experience as Operations Manager for PeacePlayers International in Northern Ireland and South Africa, an ESPY Award winning basketball non-profit organization based out of Washington, D.C. As a player, Morra was a four-year member and two-year captain at DeSales, shooting 48 percent from three-point range in 2004 as a senior captain of the 24-5 MAC Champions. Lehigh posted a 7-0 record in February to improve to 22-2 over the last three Februaries. Hightower is a 2016 graduate of Chestnut Hill, where he was a twosport student-athlete. He won the Athletic Director s Award, given annually to the male and female student-athlete who best demonstrates dedication to the mission of the College and excels in his or her sport of choice. As a senior, Hightower averaged 6.1 points and a team-high 8.3 rebounds per game while serving as the heart and soul of the Griffins defense. For his career, he ranks second in school history in rebounds (577), second in offensive rebounds (225), fifth in defensive rebounds (352), seventh in rebounds per game (5.4), second in blocks (114) and fifth in steals (128). Hightower shot 53.4 percent from the field as a senior (63-of-118). He was also a standout track and field athlete, highlighted by winning a CACC Individual Championship in 2015 in the 110-meter hurdles. Hightower has shown tremendous leadership, serving as a threeyear captain. He was also a member of Chestnut Hill College s Diversity Committee, vice president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, Presidential Leadership Award winner and the 2015 conference representative at the NCAA Leadership Forum. Hightower has basketball experience outside of playing, which includes serving as a camp counselor at Lehigh s summer camps from 2013 through He was Director of a 3 vs. 3 Basketball Tournament, where he managed the tournament s operations, and assisted in game management at Chestnut Hill athletic events. Billy Dunn begins his second season on the Lehigh men s basketball staff and first as Director of Operations and Enrichment. In his first season at Lehigh, Dunn served as a resource for the Mountain Hawks players and coaches, speaking into concepts of character and leadership while running a pregame chapel for those interested. Lehigh posted an eight-game winning streak to end the regular season, tying for third place in the league standings and earning a home game in the Patriot League Quarterfinals for the eighth time in the last nine years. Dunn received the team s Sixth Man of the Year Award at its annual end-of-year banquet. Dunn has worked locally in the Lehigh Valley in the game of basketball. He has served as assistant boys basketball coach at both Liberty High School and Allentown Central Catholic for five years each. Dunn was head girls basketball coach at Emmaus High School for three years and co-founder of Push The Rock in Emmaus, Pa. leading basketball camps and coaching internationally. The organization s vision is to be a global leader in sports ministry. Dunn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Bible and Secondary Education from Cairn University, before going on to earn his Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, also from Cairn. He went on to serve as chaplain in professional sports for over eight years, including in the Philadelphia Phillies organization. Dunn is currently spiritual formation pastor at Faith Church in Allentown. He has also served as professor at Cairn University in Leadership Studies, has been executive director at Habitat for Humanity and has worked with Leadership Development at Push The Rock. VIDEO COORDINATOR GREG TARCA Greg Tarca enters his first season as video coordinator in Tarca came to Lehigh after graduating from Quinnipiac this past May as a four-year member of the men s basketball program. Tarca played in 18 career games for Quinnipiac, earning a full scholarship in December of his senior year after spending four years as a walk-on. Tarca started his Senior Day game vs. Saint Peter s and scored a layup in the game s final minute. His impact went far beyond the court, which included serving as legislative chair of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Tarca led a group of student-athletes in weekly meetings, spoke on behalf of the organization and more. Despite being fresh out of college, Tarca does have experience as a supervisor/coach at the Grundy Hoops Academy, facilitating basketball clinics for students ages eight to 16 and teaching fundamental basketball skills. Tarca has also interned at The Hoop Group, assisting in the recruitment of future campers nation-wide, building relationships with high school, college and AAU coaches, and assisting with logistics, planning and day-to-day operations of camps.
