Ian Eagle, Jim Spanarkel and Allie LaForce will provide the call on trutv, tipping off at 12:40 p.m. ET. Larry Clisby and Rob Blackman will handle the radio broadcast on the Purdue Radio Network, while Chris Carrino and P.J. Carlesimo will have the national radio call on Westwood One. Purdue enters the tournament having received its highest seed in 20 years ( No. 2 seed) and winners of five of its last six games. Cal State Fullerton won the Big West Tournament as a No. 4 seed, defeating seed Nos. 1, 3 and 5 en route to the tournament title. The winner will take on either No. 7 seed Arkansas or No. 10 seed Butler in Sunday s second round. After starting the year 4-2 with losses to Tennessee and Western Kentucky in the Battle 4 Atlantis, Purdue rattled off 19 straight wins with victories over Arizona, Louisville, Butler and Michigan (2x). The Boilermakers then lost three straight by a total of eight points, but has now won five of the last six games to re-energize themselves heading into the NCAA Tournament. Four players earned All-Big Ten honors, led by Carsen Edwards first-team selection. Vincent Edwards was named second team, Isaac Haas to the third team and Dakota Mathias was an All-Defensive Team honoree. Carsen Edwards is a finalist for the Jerry West Award, while Isaac Haas is a finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award. Purdue is one of four teams to have two finalists. Head coach Matt Painter is a semifinalist for the Naismith National Coach of the Year Award.
