RANKED REBELS The Rebels were ranked in the NSCAA poll for the fifth-straight week in last Tuesday s release, checking in at No. 24 in the final NSCAA poll of the season. Previously this season, Ole Miss surged to a school-record ranking of No. 12 in the poll. The Rebels were also slotted at No. 29 in the final NCAA RPI release. SUCCESS AT HOME The Rebels have seen their fair share of success on the home pitch over the history of the program with a all-time record at Ole Miss Soccer Stadium. 4 net for an SEC-leading seven game-winning goals, which sits fourth nationally. In school history, Kizer has scored the eighth-most goals in a single season, including the third-most by a freshman. Earning SEC honors is nothing new for the young midfielder; she was the only freshman in the conference to be named SEC Freshman of the Week more than once this season. Kizer was the SEC Freshman of the Week for the periods ending Oct. 26 and Sept. 8. TRIO OF SOCCER REBELS EARN ALL-SEC HONORS After surprising the Southeastern Conference and finishing third at the end of the regular season, the Ole Miss soccer team landed three Rebels on All-SEC lists when the conference announced its postseason awards Sunday afternoon. Freshman CeCe Kizer, Ole Miss leading scorer, headlined the trio of Rebels on the list as SEC Freshman of the Year and earning First Team All-SEC honors. Alongside Kizer, junior Addie Forbus was awarded All-SEC First Team accolades. Rounding out the recognized Rebels, senior defender Jessica Hiskey claimed a spot on the All-SEC Second Team. The three Rebels led Ole Miss to a (7-4-0 SEC) record during the regular season, including the No. 12 spot in the NSCAA poll for the highest ranking in school history. Forbus collected First Team All-SEC honors for the first time in her career. The Amory, Mississippi native has scored as many goals in 2015 as she did in her first two seasons combined, finding the back of the net 11 times. Forbus has tallied seven of her 11 goals in SEC games this season, including a superb header to help the Rebels knock off then-no. 10 Auburn. With 22 career goals, Forbus is just two goals away from cracking the career top-10 in program history. Along with her goals, the forward has added seven assists for a total of 29 points. A senior who has helped lead Ole Miss to 50 victories over the past four seasons, Hiskey earns All-SEC accolades for the first time in her storied career. She is the first Ole Miss defender to be named All-SEC since Alix Hildal and Meredith Snow were honored during the 2011 season. This season, Hiskey has started all 21 games as a team captain, increasing her consecutive starts streak to 53 matches. She began the season as a midfielder but has transitioned to becoming a difference maker in the Ole Miss backline. Hiskey has also provided assistance on the offensive side of the pitch, adding two goals and one assist this season. THREE REBELS NAMED CoSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT Three Rebels from the Ole Miss soccer team were recognized Thursday, Oct. 29, for their outstanding achievement on the field and in the classroom by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). 5 GAME 22 CLEMSON - NCAA TOURNEY 5 of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at her current institution and be nominated by her sports information director. The trio of Rebels took up three of the 13 spots on the District 6 list and now has a chance to earn Academic All-America status. Friedmann earned the accolade for the third time overall, while Hiskey collected the honor in her second straight season. Forbus, a junior, found herself on the list for the first time in her stellar career. Forbus boasts a 3.75 GPA, majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD). She is a three-time member of the Chancellor s Honor Roll on campus, producing a GPA between 3.75 and 4.00 in those semesters. Forbus earned a spot on the SEC Academic Fall Honor Roll last year and was named to the SEC First Year Academic Honor Roll as a freshman. She is also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Sigma Alpha Lambda & Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. Friedmann is no stranger to earning CoSIDA Academic All-District accolades as she has earned the award each year she has been eligible. The St. Louis, Missouri native excels academically with a 3.92 GPA as a journalism major with a minor in psychology. She has been named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll three times and has earned a spot on the Chancellor s Honor Roll every semester since arriving on campus. She is also a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and the Kappa Tau Alpha National Honor Society. Hiskey is a CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree for the second year in a row. Just like her classmate Friedmann, Hiskey has been on the Chancellor s Honor Roll every semester of her collegiate career. She is a two-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member and also was on the SEC First Year Academic Honor Roll as a freshman. The Franklin, Tenn. native holds a 3.92 GPA as a chemistry major with a minor in psychology. TWO GOALS FOR THE DUB Recording a pair of goals has been a measuring stick to the outcomes of Ole Miss soccer matches. The Rebels are on the year when scoring at least two goals in a match. Ole Miss currently sits fourth in the SEC and 33rd in the country in total goals (40), while fourth in the conference and 35th in the country in scoring offense. OLE MISS VERSUS RANKED OPPONENETS Ole Miss has notched wins over two top-10 ranked teams this season, giving them an overall record against ranked foes this year. In 2005, Ole Miss posted a winning record against ranked opponents by going FORBUS ON FIRE Since beginning SEC play, Sept. 14, junior forward Addie Forbus has been on fire. Forbus has tallied a total of 11 goals on the season, with seven of those goals coming during conference play. Her seven goals in SEC matches are second in the conference. The 11 goals rank amongst the best in the conference (sixth) and her 28 points are fifth in the SEC. One of Forbus notable strikes came Friday, Oct. 16, versus No. 10 Auburn. In the 49th minute, Jennifer Miller sent the ball into the corner to Gretchen Harknett, whose cross connected with the head of Forbus. The Ole Miss attacker redirected the shot on target and past the keeper, giving the Rebels what head coach Matthew Mott referred to as one of the best goals we ve scored all year. The most recent Forbus goal was scored in College Station against the Aggies when she sent the ball into the net on a left-footed strike on an assist from Olivia Harrison. KIZER ROLLING The Rebels are now overall on the 2015 campaign behind the goal scoring of freshman CeCe Kizer. The fast forward s seven game-winning goals give her the top mark in conference, and rank fourth in the nation, while her goals per game (0.67) rank third in the conference. Kizer scored her most recent game-winning goal of the season in the 4-3 thriller against Texas A&M at Ellis Field when she scored two consecutive goals less than two minutes apart. The matchup against the Aggies also marked the third multi-goal game of Kizer s young career. Kizer has also tallied an impressive 14 goals so far on the season, which ranks eighth for most goals in a season in Ole Miss soccer history. Kizer s total goals are the most nationally for a freshman, followed by Alexis Howard of UMKC (13). For the week of Oct. 27, Kizer was named ESPNW National Player of the Week, SEC Freshman of the Week and Top Drawer Soccer s National Player of the Week after her impressive multi-goal game at Texas A&M. 6 GAME 22 CLEMSON - NCAA TOURNEY 6 NEW KEEPER, NO PROBLEM Losing Kelly McCormick to graduation, the Rebels entered 2015 needing to fill the shoes of the record-breaking goalkeeper. Enter redshirt freshman Marnie Merritt. She has been an anchor in the goal for the Rebels this season. With Merritt getting the starts and playing the majority of the minutes, the Ole Miss backline pitched four shutouts through the first six games of the season. Through her debut season, Merritt has pitched seven individual shutouts, the fourth-most in a single season in program history and seventh-most in career shutouts. She has made 82 saves throughout the 2015 campaign, which is fourth in the SEC. She made a career-high eight saves at No. 11 Florida, at Mizzou, and. vs. No. 18 Texas A&M in the SEC Tournament. She also produced clean sheets versus LSU, No. 10 South Carolina, No. 10 Auburn and Murray State. Merritt was the first keeper to shutout the Tigers and the Gamecocks this season and notably produced back-to-back clean sheets against the two top-10 teams. After making six saves in a shutout victory over No. 10 Auburn, Merritt was seen on ESPN s SportsCenter as a Capital One Impact Performance of the Week nominee. Merritt also helped produce a clean sheet against Tennessee in the Rebels first victory over the Vols since FORWARDS ON THE ATTACK With 41 goals in 21 games, Ole Miss ranks fourth in the SEC and 33rd in the nation. A large part of the scoring success can be credited to a pair of forwards in junior Addie Forbus and freshman CeCe Kizer. Both players have reached double digits in goals scored as Kizer paces the Rebels with 14 goals and Forbus has found the back of the net 11 times. Combining for 25 goals this season, the dynamic duo has been a major factor to the Rebels early success. Forbus 11 goals combined with her seven assists total 29 points, which ranks fourth in the conference for total points. Kizer s 14 goals and a single assist give her 29 points on the 2015 campaign, the fourth-most in the conference. The two are the only teammates ranked in the SEC s top five of both statistical categories. Forbus and Kizer s combined goals (25) come in third in national rankings, just behind two teammates from Mississippi Valley and Florida. BACKLINE STRONG AND STEADY With Maddie Friedmann back on the field, she and Jessica Hiskey have been a force to be reckoned with as part of the Rebels backline. Both seniors played 180-combined minutes in the wins over top-10 teams South Carolina and Auburn, keeping the two opponents from finding the back of the net. Friedmann and Hiskey s efforts did not go unnoticed as they were named to TopDrawerSoccer s Team of the Week, Oct. 19. The two seniors have also claimed an SEC Defensive Player of the Week honor. Hiskey s primary roll has been as a midfielder, though she moved to the backline to help her team when called upon. Liza Harbin, Danielle Gray and Georgia Russell also played a crucial role in anchoring the defense for Ole Miss. The Rebels have posted nine clean sheets this season, with seven individual shutouts being credited to redshirt-freshman goalkeeper Marnie Merritt. The total saves (85) marked by the Rebels rank fourth in the conference. SUSTAINING SUCCESS The Rebels are continuing to be tougher than the rest as they strive for greatness. The sustained success of the Ole Miss program under head coach Matthew Mott is evident in the numbers. The 2015 season marks the Rebels fourth straight with a winning record and the third time in the last four years they have posted at least 10 wins. Coach Mott is averaging over 10 wins per season during his tenure at Ole Miss. ROAD REBELS The Rebels took to the road and completed a sweep to increase their winning streak to a season-high five games. The first victory came on Friday night against Tennessee. The Rebels produced a clean sheet against the Lady Vols, for a 2-0 victory. The win was the first time Ole Miss has defeated Tennessee in 12 matches, dating back to Two days later, Ole Miss took to the pitch again on Sunday night, this time in College Station, Texas. The Rebels and Aggies competed in a wild shootout that resulted in a 4-3 final in favor of Ole Miss. The Rebel win snapped a 17-game unbeaten streak for Texas A&M on Ellis Field. KIZER TABBED SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK Just like the victories for the Ole Miss soccer team, individual honors continue to pile up for the Rebels. The Southeastern Conference named CeCe Kizer SEC Freshman of the Week after leading the Rebels to a pair of conference road victories over the weekend. Kizer received the accolade for the second time this season after earning her first career weekly honor, Sept. 8. The freshman forward is also the fourth Rebel to collect an SEC weekly award in the past three weeks. Kizer scored three goals over the weekend to help Ole Miss defeat Tennessee and No. 19 Texas A&M. In the first game of the weekend, the Overland Park, Kansas native provided an insurance goal to secure a 2-0 victory for the Rebels first win over the Lady Vols since On Sunday, Kizer scored two goals in a span of two minutes to propel No. 13 Ole Miss over No. 19 Texas A&M. She first found the back of the net for the equalizer before scoring the game winner two minutes later in the 71st minute. The pair of goals gave Kizer her seventh game-winning goal of the season as well as the third multi-goal game of her career. The Ole Miss performance also ended Texas A&M s 17-game home unbeaten streak. The accolades did not stop there for the Rebel freshman. ESPNW and Top Drawer Soccer also named Kizer the national player of the week for her solid weekend. GOING BACK-TO-BACK Friday night s 2-0 victory over No. 10 Auburn marked back-to-back wins over ranked teams after the Rebels defeated then-no. 10 South Carolina Sunday, Oct. 11. The Rebels not only managed to remain victorious in both matches, but they also kept the two ranked foes off the scoreboard and posted consecutive shutouts. The two victories were the first time in school history that the Rebels have had back-to-back wins over top 10 teams. JESSICA HISKEY NAMED SEC CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK After helping the Ole Miss soccer team knock off No. 10 Auburn, senior defender Jessica Hiskey was named SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week. Hiskey earned an SEC weekly accolade for the second time her career. In her first season as a Rebel, she was tabbed SEC Freshman of the Week after helping the Rebels to a pair of conference victories. Hiskey not only helped Ole Miss beat top-10 teams in back-to-back games for the first time in school history, but she also managed a backline that kept the two ranked foes off the scoreboard. After the Rebels beat then-no. 10 South Carolina 2-0 last Sunday, No. 21 Ole Miss took down No. 6

7 GAME 22 CLEMSON - NCAA TOURNEY 7 10 Auburn by the same 2-0 margin in another strong performance on the pitch. Hiskey and the rest of the backline helped the Rebels pitch their seventh shutout of the season. Starting the first 11 games as a midfielder, Hiskey moved to the backline following an injury to fellow classmate and team captain Samantha Sanders. FRIEDMANN AND MERRITT EARN SEC WEEKLY HONORS Following a perfect weekend for the Ole Miss soccer team, a pair of Rebels earned accolades from the Southeastern Conference. The conference office honored senior Maddie Friedmann as the SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week, while goalkeeper Marnie Merritt was named SEC Freshman of the Week. Both Rebels earned the weekly awards for the first time in their careers after leading Ole Miss to victories over Arkansas and No. 10 South Carolina. Ole Miss has had three conference players of the week through this point iof the 2015 campaign; CeCe Kizer was tabbed SEC Freshman of the Week, Sept. 8. Friedmann was the primary factor on both offense and defense as she led the Rebels to the perfect weekend in SEC play. On Friday night, Friedmann scored a buzzer-beating goal in double overtime to lift Ole Miss to a 2-1 road victory over Arkansas. Friedmann scored the first game-winning goal of her career in the 110th minute (109:59), the latest possible time a goal can be scored in collegiate soccer. The St. Louis, Missouri native continued her strong play throughout the weekend, leading the Ole Miss backline in a 2-0 win over No. 10 South Carolina. Friedmann not only helped pitch a clean sheet against the SEC leaders, but she also shut down forward Savannah McCaskill. Friedmann followed McCaskill around the entire game, limiting her touches and preventing her from any scoring opportunities as the Gamecocks leading scorer was unable to attempt a single shot. After missing the first six games of the season due to injury, Friedmann has started in eight games for Ole Miss and has shown her senior leadership on the pitch. Merritt defended the goal to help the Rebels to a pair of victories over the weekend. On Friday, Merritt made a pair of saves in a 2-1 double overtime win over Arkansas. However, her most impressive performance of the weekend occurred Sunday as she became the first goalkeeper to shutout No. 10 South Carolina this season. The Huntersville, North Carolina native stopped all four shots on goal to produce a clean sheet, the Rebels sixth of the season. EVERY SECOND COUNTS On Friday night in Fayetteville, Ark., as the Rebels headed into overtime with the Razorbacks, it seemed that neither team would tally another goal as each minute marched off of the clock. However, as the final minute of double-overtime dwindled, Ole Miss refused to be stopped and kept fighting. The tougher than the rest attitude paid off; senior Maddie Friedmann sent the ball low and into the left side of the goal as time expired to give the Rebels a 2-1 win in one of the most memorable endings in program history. A defender who has spent her career as a focal point on the Ole Miss backline, Friedmann scored the first game-winning goal of her career in the 110th minute (109:59), the latest possible time a goal can be scored in collegiate soccer. COMEBACK FOR THE RECORD BOOKS On Friday, Sept. 25, the Rebels took to the home pitch to face off against the Crimson Tide. Alabama attacked early and scored two first half goals to claim a 2-0 advantage. Ole Miss retreated to the locker room at halftime unwilling to accept defeat. The Rebels responded in the second half, scoring three goals in 17 minutes to take the game into their own hands. Addie Forbus started the rally by scoring just 17 seconds into the second half for her seventh goal of the season. Sophomore Liza Harbin scored the first goal of her career in the 57th minute to give the Rebels the equalizer. Shortly after, freshman standout CeCe Kizer scored her 10th goal, and sixth game-winner, of the season. Goalkeeper Marnie Merritt held strong for the Rebels, marking four saves on the night. The comeback victory marked the first time in program history Ole Mis earned a win after a two-goal halftime deficit. MOTT MARKS 60TH VICTORY With an impressive weekend that included two consecutive wins for the Rebels, head coach Matthew Mott recorded his 60th win with the Ole Miss soccer team. The Rebels defeated two conference foes, Alabama and LSU, on the home pitch to secure the 60th victory for Coach Mott. Ole Miss marked a come from behind 3-2 win against Alabama on Friday, followed by a 2-0 shutout against the Tigers on Sunday. The two weekend wins are the first time in Coach Mott s six years that the Rebels have posted two SEC wins in one weekend at home. In his sixth season at the help of the Ole Miss soccer program, Mott is now averaging at least 10 wins per season. UNBEATEN IN NON-CONFERENCE With a win over Memphis in the final non-conference match of the regular season, the Rebels locked up an unbeaten non-conference campaign (6-0-2) for the third time in school history and second time under head coach Matthew Mott. The Rebels were also undefeated in the non-conference portion of the schedule during the 2002 and 2012 campaigns, going in 2002 and in RETURN OF FRIEDMANN After missing the first six games of the season due to injury, senior outside back Maddie Friedmann is back on the pitch for the Rebels. Friedmann made her first appearance in the team s opening SEC matchup against No. 18 Kentucky. Following Friday s SEC game, Friedmann was able to make her first start of the 2015 season against Louisville on Sunday. She played the full 90 minutes in the victory over the Cardinals and showed to be an important piece of the Ole Miss backline once again. UNBEATEN START Ole Miss was undefeated through the first six games of the season for the fifth time in program history and second under head coach Matthew Mott. The longest unbeaten streak in Rebel history also belongs to a Mott coached team. The 2012 soccer team posted an eight game win-streak to begin their campaign before going on the season and competing in the SEC Tournament. The Rebels were also unbeaten through the first six games in 1998, 2002 and

8 GAME 22 CLEMSON - NCAA TOURNEY 8 KIZER NAMED SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK (SEPTEMBER 8) Ole Miss soccer freshman CeCe Kizer was named SEC Freshman of the Week earlier this season. The conference office announced Tuesday, Sept. 8. Kizer scored two crucial goals over the previous weekend to earn her first weekly award of her Ole Miss career. Kizer became the first Rebel to earn SEC Freshman of the Week honors since teammate Jessica Hiskey, Oct. 8, She was also the first offensive player to collect a weekly accolade from the conference since Rafaelle Souza in The Overland Park, Kansas, native continued the impressive start to her collegiate career by scoring two more clutch goals. She found the back of the net in the 89th minute to force overtime versus No. 19 UCF, Sept. 4. Two days later, her golden goal in the 96th minute gave the Rebels a 1-0 overtime victory over Little Rock. Kizer scored her fourth game-winning goal of the season in the 2-1 win over Louisville in the 83rd minute on a cross from Addie Forbus. REBELS SELECTED 10th IN SEC PRESEASON POLL The Southeastern Conference released its annual preseason coaches poll, and Ole Miss was predicted to finish 10th in the conference. The University of Florida topped the poll with 11 first place votes, followed by Texas A&M and the University of Kentucky rounding out the top three. THE ATTACK IS BACK With 10 starters returning, the entire offensive attack is back for the 2015 campaign. The quick offense returns two of the team s top scorers from the 2014 season in senior Olivia Harrison and junior Addie Forbus. Harrison and Forbus combined for 14 goals, scoring seven apiece. Jessica Hiskey added six goals during the 2014 campaign and will be a leader again this year as one of six seniors on the team. VETERAN BACK LINE AND NEW KEEPER Ole Miss lost a lone senior on defense in goalkeeper Kelly McCormick. McCormick finished her stellar career as the all-time leader in multiple categories in goal, including the leading spot in career goalkeeper wins (42). The Rebels will look to fill the void as redshirt freshmen Marnie Merritt and sophomore Madi Killeen vie for the starting position. Both of these Rebels show promising qualities and a bright future as their careers begin to takeoff. Despite the loss of McCormick, the defense that helped produce five clean sheets is back and tougher than ever. Seniors Maddie Friedmann, Jessica Hiskey and Samantha Sanders return for their fourth season. More veteran players return in juniors Georgia Russell and Melissa Capoccacia. The Rebels also add the freshmen Susie Dineen, who helped lead Marian High School to a pair of state championships and is sure to assist to the defensive side of the attack. PLETHORA OF HOME GAMES HIGHLIGHT SCHEDULE There will be plenty of times for fans to check out the Ole Miss soccer team on its home pitch. The Rebels play 12 of its 19 regular season games at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium, including seven straight from August 23 until September 13. Ole Miss will go on the road for seven contests, with five of them coming against teams in the postseason last year -- four of whom advanced past the first round and two who advanced to at least the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament in TERRY JOINS REBELS COACHING STAFF FOR 2015 In the offseason, Ole Miss tabbed Melissa Terry of the University of Oklahoma to join the Rebel soccer staff as an assistant coach. An All-America selection as a collegiate player, Terry comes to Ole Miss with a wealth of experience working in collegiate athletics and brings a variety of knowledge on different aspects of collegiate soccer after working with successful women s soccer programs, including a pair of College Cup appearances at Florida State and a four-year playing career at Central Oklahoma. Terry joins the Rebels coaching staff after serving the previous three seasons working in strength and conditioning at the University of Oklahoma and serving as a color analyst for the Sooner Sports Network for soccer games broadcast by Fox Sports TV. Prior to her time at Oklahoma, Terry spent three seasons working with the women s soccer program at Florida State as the Seminoles advanced to the Women s College Cup in 2011 and 2012 as one of the final four teams standing in the NCAA Tournament both seasons. The 2010 team advanced to the Elite Eight in her first season with the Seminoles. The Ole Miss Soccer Stadium is the home pitch for the Rebels. Ole Miss has protected its home turf throughout the years, sporting a record at home. 8
