Either Anderson or Kiesel (or both) led the squad in the final 12-straight games - and in 19 of the last 20 in. Brianna Kiesel entered the Pitt record book at No. 5 in points by a first-year player with 24 points against USF in the Panthers final game. The Panthers used eight different starting lineups in 30 games - but started the same five in the seven of the last eight games of the season. Pitt scored 50 or fewer points in 12 games last season and was 0-12 when doing so. Pitt has not led at the half in a game since Dec. 20, 2011, when they did so against Indiana (34-30). They trailed USF in their last showing by 19 at the half (39-20) before erupting for 39 points in the second half. The Panthers were winless on the road last season (0-10). The last Pitt team to go without a road victory during a season was (0-11). The Panthers 22 losses were the most under head coach Agnus Berenato. Pitt previously had 24 losses in a season in (6-24). The Panthers played three overtime games during the season, going 2-1 in those games. The last time a Pitt team played three overtime games in the same season was (1-2 mark). The game at DePaul on Jan. 14 on Jan. 14 featured five ties and 12 lead changes. That s the most for a Panthers team since a win over USF on Feb. 12, 2011 which saw 10 ties and 12 lead changes. The contest at Cincinnati on Feb. 11 had 11 lead changes and six ties, while the loss to Louisville a week ago featured 9 ties and seven lead changes. In total this season, there have been 91 lead changes in Pitt s 26 games. The Panthers shot 51.6 percent against DePaul on Jan. 14, its highest field goal percentage of the season and best since last season in the Big East Tournament versus USF (.553). The effort was the only 50 percent plus showing of the season. The contest and win over Michigan State on Dec. 21 featured a 26-point swing as Pitt trailed by as many as 14 points and then, led by 12 points. Pitt grabbed 62 rebounds at High Point on Dec. 2 - the most ever under head coach Agnus Berenato in her nine seasons. Pitt led from opening tip to final horn against two opponents last season, first versus Central Michigan on Nov. 20 and again against Mount St. Mary s.
