2 Oakland and Detroit have branded an annual rivalry called the Metro Series ed to the school with the most head-to-head victories over the course of the academic year. The Golden Grizzlies and Titans will compete in men s and women s basketball, men s and women s cross country, men s and women s golf, men s and women s soccer, The rivalry received an extra boost from the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame and PASS Charters as the winner of the Metro Series will get $10,000 in scholarship funding and the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame Cup will be awarded to the winning teams between men s and women s basketball.
