"This was an extremely difficult decision," Ducks general manager Bob Murray said in a statement. "Randy is a terrific coach and did a tremendous job for us for six-plus seasons. We thank him greatly for his hard work and dedication to our franchise. "At this time, we simply felt a new voice was needed. Bruce is a proven winner with a great track record, and we are optimistic we can turn this season around under his leadership."

Boudreau, 56, coached the Washington Capitals from 2007 until he was fired Monday. He was the winner of the Jack Adams Award as the NHL's coach of the year and led the team to the league's best regular-season record. The Ducks went into Wednesday's game with only one victory in their past 14games and two wins in their past 18 after they began the season with a record. They defeated the Montreal Canadiens 4-1 Wednesday, ending the club's second-longest losing streak. Carlyle was apparently unaware of his impending firing, calling the victory "a steppingstone for us in the right direction," during his postgame session with reporters. He was unavailable for comment about Murray's decision to let him go. Murray met with Carlyle about 40 minutes after the game, informing him of the move, and also talked with the team's leaders, according to a Twitter post late Wednesday evening by ESPN.com reporter Pierre LeBrun. Carlyle, 55, was with the Ducks, the most victories and the highest winning percentage in the franchise's history. He led the Ducks to their first Stanley Cup in after they won their second Western Conference title in The Ducks are and last in the Pacific Division. Murray also fired assistant coaches Dave Farrish and Mike Foligno and video coordinator Joe Trotta. Brad Lauer was named to Boudreau's staff, with another assistant still to be named, according to the Ducks. Boudreau is scheduled to be introduced at a news conference today. The Ducks' struggles weighed heavily on their shoulders when they sat down to breakfast, when they filled their cars with gas and when they did the dishes, according to team captain Ryan Getzlaf, who scored a goal and added two assists Wednesday. "If I said, no, I'd be lying," said Getzlaf, who ended a 14-game goal-scoring drought when he scored the Ducks' first goal of the game. "It was getting frustrating. We felt like we were working and working and not getting the results we needed." After falling behind only 3minutes, 10 seconds into the game, the Ducks gained confidence and momentum with each puck they put behind Montreal goaltender Peter Budaj. After a few minutes of uncertainty, the Ducks were clearly the better team. It had been a long while since anyone could say that with a straight face, dating to a victory Nov. 11 over defending Western Conference champion Vancouver. Speculation grew that changes would be made with each passing defeat. "We just kept playing," Getzlaf said of Wednesday's victory. "We kept the pressure on, drew penalties and did all the things we wanted to do. It's nice to see our group buy in the way we want to and do the things we talked about the last few days." Rookie winger Devante Smith-Pelly scored the go-ahead goal in the second period, Corey Perry made it 3-1 in the third and Niklas Hagman added an empty-net goal in the waning seconds, prompting a standing ovation from the crowd of 13,237. LA Times: LOADED: Anaheim Ducks Ducks fire Carlyle after victory, hire Boudreau By JEFF MILLER / THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER ANAHEIM The struggling Ducks beat Montreal on Wednesday then dumped Randy Carlyle. The most successful coach in franchise history was fired only minutes after his team finally won, ending a seven-game losing streak. Randy Carlyle looks toward the scoreboard during the third period of the Ducks' 4-1 victory over Montreal on Wednesday night. The Ducks fired Carlyle after the game and announced that they had replaced him with former Washington Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau. In Carlyle's place, the Ducks hired Bruce Boudreau, who was just fired himself on Monday by Washington. Boudreau won the Jack Adams award as the NHL's coach of the year and led the Capitals to the Presidents' Trophy. His teams in Washington were and won Southeast Division titles in all four seasons he finished there. This was an extremely difficult decision, Ducks general manager Bob Murray said in a statement. Randy is a terrific head coach, and did a tremendous job for us for six-plus seasons. We thank him greatly for his hard work and dedication to our franchise, not the least of which was a Stanley Cup championship. Along with Carlyle, assistant coaches Dave Farrish and Mike Foligno also were fired, as was video coordinator Joe Trotta. Carlyle, 55, signed a contract extension through the season in August. The deal included a raise for this year, meaning Carlyle was dismissed only 24 games after being rewarded for his work. He was in 516 career games with the Ducks, compiling the most victories and highest winning percentage in club history. He led the team to the franchise's only Stanley Cup in But in the four seasons since claiming the title, the Ducks won only one playoff series for Carlyle. Then, after opening this season with a 4-1 record, the team tailed off badly. The Ducks' 4-1 victory Wednesday ended a seven-game winless streak. They had won only twice in their previous 18 games. Entering the night, the Ducks ranked 29th in the NHL in points, ahead of only Columbus. Their skid had led to wide-spread speculation about Carlyle's future and the possibility of a major trade. At least half of that talk will now cease. Though successful, Carlyle was not the most popular coach among his players. He was known for his no-nonsense, old-school style, which didn't always mesh with the team's younger players. At this time, we simply felt a new voice was needed, Murray's statement continued. Bruce is a proven winner with a great track record, and we are optimistic we can turn this season around under his leadership. Boudreau, 56, became the fastest coach in modern-day NHL history to win 200 games, doing so Nov. 21. He also picked up more victories (184) in his first 300 NHL games than any coach. But like Carlyle, Boudreau's career has been marked by recent postseason failings. His Capitals teams won only two playoff series. He also has clashed with his players, only more noticeably. In a game this month against the Ducks, in fact, Boudreau had a celebrated run-in on the bench with Washington star Alex Ovechkin. Before joining the Capitals, Boudreau spent nine seasons as an AHL coach, including a Calder Cup championship with Hershey in He spent four years with Manchester (Kings affiliate) and two with Lowell (Kings affiliate) before going to Hershey. A native of Toronto, Boudreau played eight seasons in the NHL, first with Toronto and then with Chicago. Brad Lauer, an assistant at Syracuse (AHL) was hired to be one of Boudreau's assistants with the Ducks. Another assistant coach will be added. Boudreau will be formally introduced as the Ducks' eighth coach at a news conference Thursday. LA Times: LOADED: Anaheim Ducks Ducks fire Randy Carlyle, hire Bruce Boudreau as coach Carlyle, who led the Ducks to the Stanley Cup in 2007, is let go after a 4-1 win over Montreal. Boudreau was fired by the Capitals on Monday.

By Lisa Dillman November 30, 2011, 11:17 p.m. Change swept through Anaheim shortly after its 4-1 victory over Montreal on Wednesday night with the Ducks firing Coach Randy Carlyle and replacing him with Bruce Boudreau. Carlyle, who led the Ducks to the Stanley Cup in 2007, had received a three-year contract extension in August. Boudreau, who had been coaching the Capitals, was replaced in Washington on Monday. The coaching change was made despite the team's first win in 19 days. The Ducks beat the Canadiens using a rare combination of two power-play goals, flawless penalty killing and a reawakened Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf. Also, there was probably some genuine terror of what the Internet mob would say regarding player trades had the Ducks lost again, especially with Montreal backup goalie Peter Budaj getting a rare start. The final buzzer, wrapping up the Ducks' first win in eight games and third in 19 games, didn't give Carlyle a reprieve. The club also dismissed assistants Dave Farrish and Mike Foligno. The Ducks had only won one playoff series in the last four years under Carlyle. "This was an extremely difficult decision," Ducks General Manager Bob Murray said. "Randy is a terrific head coach and did a tremendous job for us for six-plus seasons." Murray and Carlyle had an especially close and long-standing relationship, and Murray had given the coach his public backing in recent interviews. But there was a growing suggestion that a fresh voice was needed in the Ducks' dressing room and recent form indicated that the players were no longer receptive to Carlyle's message. Boudreau, 56,. had some of those same problems, in fact, with the Capitals. He clashed with his star player Alex Ovechkin, at times, and quite publicly. He benched him late in the game against the Ducks on Nov. 1. One of Boudreau's earlier associations was with the Kings' organization. He coached their minor-league team in Manchester, N.H., before getting the head coaching position with the Capitals. He was the NHL's Coach of the Year in the season and put together a record with the Capitals. The burden of losing was weighing heavily on the Ducks' marquee players, of course. Perry and Getzlaf, who were playing on a line with Matt Beleskey, each had a goal and two assists. Nik Hagman, scoring a late empty-netter, and rookie Devante Smith-Pelly had the other Duck goals. Smith-Pelly showed impressive net presence in front, first batting down the puck with his glove and scoring with a quick move, on the power play, at 6 minutes 6 seconds of the second period to make it 2-1. Getzlaf, the team's captain, had endured a career-high 14 games without a goal. He said he didn't realize how long it had been until his linemate and buddy, Perry, informed him of the fact. "It wasn't really weighing me on the goal side of it till Perry told me this morning," Getzlaf said. "It's nice to get on the scoresheet and get our line playing the way we want it to play." Was it something on his mind, constantly, as he carried out his daily nonhockey activities? "If I said no, I'd be lying," he said. "It's a frustrating thing. It's one of those things where you feel like you're working and working and working and not getting the results that you need. "This is the first time I've ever been through something like that." LA Times: LOADED: November 30th, 2011, 10:21 pm posted by Eric Stephens, Staff writer ANAHEIM The Ducks have fired Randy Carlyle, the winningest coach in franchise history, and replaced him with former Washington Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau on Wednesday night. Despite winning the team s only Stanley Cup and making the playoffs in five of his six full seasons, Carlyle was let go after the team snapped a sevengame losing streak with a 4-1 home victory over Montreal. The Ducks (7-13-4) had won just two of their previous 18 games to fall to 14th place in the Western Conference. This was an extremely difficult decision, Ducks general manager Bob Murray said in a statement. Randy is a terrific head coach and did a tremendous job for us for six-plus seasons. We thank him greatly for his hard work and dedication to our franchise, not the least of which was a Stanley Cup championship. At this time, we simply felt a new voice was needed. Murray also relieved assistant coaches Dave Farrish and Mike Foligno of their duties, along with video coordinator Joe Trotta. Brad Lauer, former an assistant with Ottawa and currently an assistant with the Syracuse Crunch, will join Boudreau s staff. Another is expected to be named at a later date. Boudreau, 56, was on the unemployment line for all of two days after being fired by the Capitals on Monday. He was the 2008 Jack Adams Award as the NHL s top coach and led Washington to four Southeast Division titles along with the Presidents Trophy as the Capitals led the league with 121 points. Bruce is a proven winner with a great track record and we are optimistic we can turn this season around under his leadership, Murray said. Carlyle, 55, leaves the Ducks with a franchise-best 273 victories along with 182 losses and 61 overtime or shootout losses. The pinnacle of his tenure came on June 6, 2007 when the Ducks captured their first and only Cup with a 6-2 victory over Ottawa in Game 5 after the team won its only Pacific Division title in the regular season. Murray has a tight relationship with Carlyle and consistently defended his coach while the Ducks started slowly in every season since. His teams would always respond in the second half and had successful playoff pushes in all but the season. The Ducks started this season with a 4-1 record before they stumbled badly over a six-week stretch, which included winless streaks of six and seven games. Teemu Selanne has had a strong season but the top line of Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry and Bobby Ryan has all underperformed and the team had the appearance of one that was no longer responding to Carlyle over its most recent losing streak. A listless 5-2 loss to Toronto on Sunday that dropped the Ducks home record to might have been the final straw after a crushing 6-5 loss to Chicago on Friday in which they blew a 4-2 third-period lead in a matter of three minutes. Murray, who cut short a scouting trip back east, returned to Anaheim to inform Carlyle and his coaching staff of his decision about 40 minutes after the Ducks victory Wednesday. Boudreau flew to Orange County and will be formally introduced as the eighth coach in franchise history after he runs his first practice at Anaheim Ice. LA Times: LOADED: Anaheim Ducks Ducks move Ryan to third line to spread offense Anaheim Ducks By JEFF MILLER / THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER Ducks fire Carlyle and bring in Boudreau

ANAHEIM The Ducks moved Bobby Ryan on Wednesday... just not to another team. The subject of recent trade rumors, Ryan instead was shifted to the Ducks' third line, teaming with center Ben Maxwell and winger Niklas Hagman against Montreal. Matt Beleskey was moved to the top line, alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. "We've talked about moving Bobby and not moving Bobby off of that line," Randy Carlyle said before Wednesday's game, just hours before the team announced his firing as the team's coach and the hiring of Bruce Boudreau to replace him. "We still think that that group is going to have to play together for an extended period of time. Because you make a change for one game or two games, there's nothing etched in stone." The Ducks have been searching for offense most of this season. They've scored as many as five goals in a game only once. By comparison, the Boston Bruins opened November by scoring five or more goals in five consecutive games. Said Ryan: "We're definitely trying to spread some offense out, trying to get some things rolling and, definitely for myself, get a spark. Hopefully, we can get some chemistry. The one good thing is, generally, I've been pretty capable of playing with anybody." Talking it over Carlyle made a point to talk to Ryan before the morning skate about the rumors whipping around the Ducks. The young winger's name is the one mentioned most often in trade speculation. "He has to find that inner peace in himself to deal with it," Carlyle said. "When you go through situations in which we're going through right now, these are the things that do come up." Depending on what rumors you believe, the Ducks either are actively shopping Ryan or teams are actively pursuing him. It might be both. Or neither. Forget me nots The Ducks have been losing so much of late the players are having a difficult time recalling who they lost to when. Asked if the Ducks relaxed after opening the season with victories in 4 of 5 games, Ryan tried to break down his team's struggles. Only he struggled in doing so. "I don't think complacency set in," he said. "I don't think that has anything to do with it. I think we had one or two bad games, and I remember it started against, ah, who'd we play here last game? Who'd we just lose to? Toronto? What was the game before that? (Chicago.) Yeah, Chicago was one of the first games in the slump, I believe. Weren't they?" Ryan was referencing the Ducks' 3-2 road shootout loss against the Blackhawks on Oct. 25. That was the third game of this slump, coming after consecutive home losses to Dallas (final score: 3-1) and Phoenix (5-4). NOTES With Brandon McMillan demoted to Syracuse, center Maxime Macenauer returned to the lineup against the Canadiens.... Carlyle said goalie Dan Ellis (groin) is still a week away from being in a position to be reevaluated. Jeff Deslauriers will remain the backup to starter Jonas Hiller. LA Times: LOADED: Anaheim Ducks Ducks fire Randy Carlyle, hire Bruce Boudreau as coach By Lisa Dillman November 30, 2011, 11:17 p.m. Change swept through Anaheim shortly after its 4-1 victory over Montreal on Wednesday night with the Ducks firing Coach Randy Carlyle and replacing him with Bruce Boudreau. 7 It wasn t the Miracle on Ice, but it did have an almost divine feel about it. That s how badly things have been going for the Ducks, a 4-1 victory over a struggling Montreal team nearly heaven sent. Ryan Getzlaf, Devante Smith-Pelly and Corey Perry scored and Jonas Hiller stopped 19 of 20 shots as the Ducks halted a seven-game winless streak. They ve now won three times in their past 19 games. The Canadiens scored first Wednesday, Andrei Kostitsyn beating Hiller with a wrist shot at 3:10 of the opening period. The goal was set up when the Ducks, continuing a theme of this season, struggled clearing their own zone. With only 19 seconds left in the first, however, Getzlaf scored from Perry to tie it, 1-1. The goal was Getzlaf s fifth. That set up Smith-Pelly s second-period, go-ahead gem. The rookie flagged down a tipped pass from Bobby Ryan with his right hand, dropped the puck on his stick and beat Montreal s Peter Budaj. Perry s goal (his 11th) came at the 2:55 mark of the third period. Francois Beauchemin and Getzlaf assisted. Niklas Hagman added an empty net goal at 18:31. The Ducks return to action at 7:05 p.m. Friday when Philadelphia visits Honda Center. LA Times: LOADED: Anaheim Ducks Duck Takes: Getting to know Devo By JEFF MILLER / THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER His teammates call him "Devo," but not because he likes the band that made "Whip It" a hit. Would that music still be called new wave? Or old new wave? Devante Smith-Pelly, a rookie forward for the Ducks, likely never even heard of that Devo. To learn more about Smith-Pelly, click on the photo. Were he in a band, however, Smith-Pelly is absolutely certain he'd be out front, taking the lead, not stuck off to the side playing the bass. That's one thing we learned about him in "Duck Takes," our up-close look at one of the team's players. So, click on the photo of the celebrating "Devo" to find out more about this young winger. LA Times: LOADED: Boston Bruins Lucic scores 2, Bruins win 12th in 13 games Staff TORONTO After a near-perfect November, the Boston Bruins were in no mood to celebrate. Boston polished off the franchise's first month without a regulation loss in more than four decades with a 6-3 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night, but the defending Stanley Cup champions took it in stride and acted as though they had been there before. That is a big reason why they should be considered among the favorites to win it all again. "I think it was a pretty good month," forward David Krejci said. "We were playing some great hockey and we were having so much fun off the ice. It was a pretty good experience. "But the season's long, we've got about 60 games left. It's going to be a battle. We've got to forget what happened and get ready for the future." The Bruins were last in the Eastern Conference when October ended and then went in November to jump up to second. No NHL team went a calendar month without a regulation loss since San Jose did it in March Boston hadn't pulled it off since January "It's quite an accomplishment," goalie Tim Thomas said. "It might be one of those things that only happens... well, for a lot of guys it won't even happen once in their career, right? For anybody who has played for the Bruins their whole career, obviously no one's done that since "Unfortunately, the way the world works and the way this league works, November's gone. It's behind us. This is December." Milan Lucic scored two goals Wednesday and Krejci added a goal and two assists. Zdeno Chara, Benoit Pouliot and Brad Marchand also scored for Boston (15-7-1), which hasn't lost in regulation since Oct. 29 at Montreal. Thomas made 34 saves and earned his ninth consecutive win. Mikhail Grabovski, Joffrey Lupul and Matt Frattin scored for Toronto ( ). The Maple Leafs pushed the Bruins to their limit in the first of a home-andhome series between teams near the top of the Eastern Conference standings. They will face off again in Boston on Saturday night. "That's a good hockey team," Maple Leafs coach Ron Wilson said. "They seem to have our number. I was actually pleased with the way we played. Unfortunately, they got five or six power plays and we really only had one and a half. I thought we worked hard enough to draw a few more penalties but we didn't. "If we keep playing like that, we'll eventually beat these guys." The Bruins have won all three meetings with the Maple Leafs by a combined score of "They're a legit good team," Bruins coach Claude Julien said of the Leafs. "I think the reason we've been successful is we've never lost respect for them and we come prepared to play them." This game lived up to the hype as the quick skating teams took turns mounting rushes during the first period, in which the Bruins held a slight edge in possession and shots, But the game was tied 1-1, with each team scoring on a power play. Thomas has played a major role in the turnaround. The reigning Vezina Trophy winner is on a career-best winning streak. His biggest stop came late in the first period when he denied NHL scoring leader Phil Kessel on a breakaway. "Well, I saw Phil coming down on the breakaway and I quickly thought, `Man, I know he wants to score really bad,'" Thomas said. "I didn't really think about what he was going to do. I just decided to play him honestly." The Bruins pulled away for good with less than five minutes left in the second period. Chara jumped into the rush and beat Jonas Gustavsson with a heavy wrist shot to make it 3-2. Toronto never closed the gap. Boston sealed the win with a couple of third-period goals, including one into an empty net by Marchand. "I don't think the score was too respectful for how the game was," Frattin said. "It was a nice, close, intense game -- fast and hard-hitting. It was a good game. Kind of felt like a playoff game." The most important thing for the Bruins is they have managed to rediscover the form that carried them through last season's playoffs. Their 3-7 start is now long forgotten. "I think we felt we were a better team than what we showed in October," Julien said. "Where we were certainly didn't make us happy. So we just kind of picked up our game and decided to play the way we can.

Game 23: Bruins at Maple Leafs Fluto Shinzawa, Globe Staff TORONTO Good morning from the Air Canada Centre, where the Bruins will kick off a home-and-home series with the Leafs tonight. The Bruins are one point behind Toronto. The teams will play again on Saturday at TD Garden. This will be the Bruins first look at former prospect Joe Colborne. The ex- Denver star is centering Toronto s third line. In five games, Colborne has scored one goal and has three assists. Colborne was Boston s first-round pick in 2008 and was wheeled to Toronto last year in a package for Tomas Kaberle. Boston Globe LOADED: Boston Bruins Milan Lucic scores twice, Bruins win 12th in 13 games By Associated Press TORONTO - Milan Lucic scored twice and David Krejci added a goal and two assists for the Boston Bruins, who beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-3 on Wednesday night for their 12th win in 13 games. The defending Stanley Cup champions rebounded from a slow start this season and went in November, marking the first time since January 1969 that the Bruins went an entire month without a regulation loss. Tim Thomas made 34 saves and earned his ninth consecutive win. Zdeno Chara, Benoit Pouliot and Brad Marchand also scored for Boston (15-7-1), which hasn t lost in regulation since Oct. 29 at Montreal. Mikhail Grabovski, Joffrey Lupul and Matt Frattin had goals for Toronto (14-9-2). The Maple Leafs pushed the Bruins to their limit in the first of a home-andhome series between teams near the top of the Eastern Conference standings. They will face off again in Boston on Saturday night. This game lived up to the hype as the quick skating teams took turns mounting rushes during the first period, in which the Bruins held a slight edge in possession and shots, But the game was tied 1-1, with each team scoring on a power play. Grabovski netted Toronto s first goal at 7:29, taking a perfect cross-ice pass from Clarke MacArthur and beating Thomas with a backhander on the rush. It was his sixth goal of the season. Jonas Gustavsson was strong early in goal for the Maple Leafs but was beaten after Boston s extended 5-on-3 power play. The Bruins used crisp cross-ice passes to take apart the Leafs penalty-killers, and Lucic roofed a shot from the side of the net at 15:08 as the first penalty expired. Shortly after, NHL scoring leader Phil Kessel was sent in on a breakaway but couldn t beat Thomas with a deke. The game didn t slow down in the second period. Krejci gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead at 3:33 by going hard to the net and knocking home a rebound off the rush. Kessel then found Lupul on a 2-on-1 break to get Toronto even at 7:00. Even Chara s goal that made it 3-2 at 15:30 came off the rush. The big defenseman stepped up and beat Gustavsson short side with a heavy wrist shot the Toronto goalie should have had. Pouliot put Boston ahead 4-2 early in the third period, and Frattin responded less than three minutes later to get Toronto back within a goal. The Maple Leafs couldn t get any closer. Lucic put it away with his second goal of the night at 15:21, and Marchand scored into an empty net in the final minute. NOTES: The Maple Leafs were in November.... Cody Franson, Colton Orr and Philippe Dupuis sat out for Toronto.... The Bruins scratched Jordan Caron and Steve Kampfer.... Toronto goalie James Reimer, sidelined since Oct. 22 with concussion-like symptoms, is expected to be the backup Saturday in Boston. Boston Herald LOADED: Boston Bruins Milan Lucic back on hot streak By Stephen Harris / TORONTO Milan Lucic has been a streaky guy at times. Maybe he s now off on a tear. Lucic potted a pair of goals as he and linemates David Krejci and Nathan Horton had their best game in quite a while, leading the Bruins to a 6-3 win over the Maple Leafs. Before, I had eight goals in eight games, so things were going really well, said Lucic. Then you go zero goals in eight. It felt like I wasn t getting myself into those same areas and getting the shots. I think if you look at most of my goals, they re from right around the net. That s what I was able to do (last night), get some dirty goals. Bruins coach Claude Julien feels the Krejci line has been OK, just unable to finish off good scoring chances. He hopes last night s game, in which Lucic had two goals and an assist, Krejci a goal and two assists and Horton two assists, will get the whole line going. I think (Horton) is coming along, said Claude Julien. The thing is, he s gotten some opportunities to score. He s been a little snake-bitten as far as the finishing part of it..?.?. He s off to a slower start, but we understand that sometimes guys who go through what he went through last year with the concussion take some time to find their game. (Last night), the line was finishing, said Julien. This is a good line. Now we want to build on this. Happy in Toronto There was never much doubt that Joe Colborne would make a good Bruin, but it was not to be. The B s first-round choice (16th overall) in 2008, the towering center from the University of Denver was sent to the Maple Leafs in February, a key piece in the multi-faceted deal for defenseman Tomas Kaberle. The 21-year-old has now worked his way up to the Leafs and is playing quite well, with totals and a plus-3 rating in six games after recording a plus-1 in 14:36 of ice time last night. I ve been looking forward to this, said Colborne. I ve got a lot of good memories there. I ve got to thank Boston for a lot of my development over the last few years. Colborne said he was delighted to see his old friends win the Stanley Cup, and admitted he was upset when he found he d been traded. I was pretty disappointed when it happened, I m not going to lie, said Colborne. I loved everything about Boston. You could see they were on a path for a lot of success, so it was tough. But since I ve been here (in Toronto), the organization has welcomed me with open arms. I love the city, I love the guys, the management has been great to me. I m pretty happy with where I am now. Plus players Entering the game, the Bruins had five of the NHL s top 11 plus/minus players, led by Tyler Seguin and his plus-19. Chris Kelly (plus-15) and Brad Marchand (plus-14) followed Seguin, while Patrice Bergeron and Zdeno Chara were among a group of six tied at plus-13.
