1 Dear 4th year students, Welcome to the academic year. Classes begin the week of September 18, You will find this document contains all the information needed to make your book ordering process a simple and stress free experience. All of this information has also been posted on our web page at Included in this mailing you will find your class schedule including lecture, lab and CPR classes, your tuition schedule and costs as well as your book list and ordering information. All information you need is included on this page. Keep scrolling down until you find what you are looking for. 1 st term tuition This includes your tuition, JATC Manual and a 2011 Code Book with tabs, Tuition 3-Pay Plan Schedule (5.00 fee for using this service) 1 st payment due Thursday September 29 th, 2011 by 6:00 PM nd payment due Thursday October 13 th, 2011 by 6:00 PM rd payment due Thursday October 27 th, 2011 by 6:00 PM st term All classes begin the week of September 18 th, Check the attached 4 th year roster for your night of instruction as well as all of your scheduled lab classes. All lab classes are mandatory and cannot be rescheduled. There will be a late fee added to your tuition for each late payment. A fee will be assessed for any NSF checks in addition to what your financial institution may charge you. The JATC accepts the following for payment of tuition: Debit Cards, VISA, MasterCard, personal checks, money orders and cash. We no longer accept Discover or American Express Cards Books for all students are purchased separately through ED Map/ Pearson and must be ordered by the student. You can place your order by calling Orders must be received by September 1, 2011 to assure delivery by the first night of school. Students are required to have all books on the first night of school or you will be asked to leave and not return until you have them. ED/MAP accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express Year 4: 4th Year 2011/2012 Apprentice Kit includes: Student Curriculum Manual, Student Curriculum Workbook, Illustrated Guide to NEC 5E. 6 Welcome to the academic year. Classes begin the week of September 18 th. Please check the posted schedule for your class night and instructor name. In an attempt to simplify the book ordering process, the JATC has partnered with the Independent Electrical Contractors of Oregon (IEC of Oregon) and now with one phone call or the bulk of your classroom requirements will be sent straight to your doorstep. (The JATC may require additional books or materials separate from this book order) Please review the next few pages for step by step book ordering information. STEP 1: Use one of the links below to correspond with the year of study you are going into. You need to utilize the entire address below for the year of school you are going into in order to be directed to the correct Book Kit for you. It is easiest to Copy and Paste the entire address to your internet address bar at the top of your screen. Please remember that this is only for some of the books that you will need. You will need to pay tuition and other charges to the JATC in addition to your book order. Year 4: STEP 2: You will click on link and enter the online bookstore. (see screenshot ON PAGE 2 as an example, using your year in place of 4 th year example) STEP 3: Please click on <Add To Cart>, this will take you to the log in/registration page. If you are a new student, after hitting <Add To Cart>, you ll be asked to register to create a new account before being taken to your shopping cart. After typing in your address and the JATC Assigned ID # which is (zero s) you will be asked to provide some additional information to create your account.

8 If this is not the first time you ve logged into your account, you ll be taken directly to your shopping cart after you log in. In either scenario, your shopping cart will be pre-loaded with the course materials you need for your current year s course of study. STEP 4: Your shopping cart. By default, your shopping cart will be pre-filled with only the apprentice kit that corresponds to your year of study. If this is all you wish to purchase and you want to purchase the kit now, click <Proceed to Checkout>. Note you only have the ability to purchase one copy of a kit.

Click <Proceed to Checkout>. Note the bookstore has disabled the ability to purchase more than one copy of a kit. If you don t wish to purchase the kit at this time, click <Save for Later>.

The next time you log into your account you ll see the contents listed under the My Saved Items link on the left side of the page. STEP 5: Start the checkout process. Click <Proceed Checkout> when your shopping cart contains only those items that you wish to purchase at this time. STEP 6: Confirm your shipping address. You will be asked to update or confirm the address where your materials should be shipped. Click <Continue> after verifying that the shipping address is accurate. Choose your shipping method. After making your choice, click <Continue>.

10 STEP 7: Review and finalize your order. On the next page you ll be asked to review your order and provide payment information. Your order will be complete once you click <Place Order>.

11 STEP 8: Order confirmation messages. After completing your order, an order confirmation page will display and an order confirmation , repeating the information, will be sent to you. STEP 9: Shipment confirmation message. You ll receive a shipment confirmation when your order ships.
