11 Snohomish Lacrosse Priorities Overall, player development. Teach level & player appropriate lacrosse fundamentals. Foster competition. Encourage teamwork. K-2 basic stick skills and introductory games. 3/4 emphasis on introduction to game & positions. Players will play in multiple positions. Find 2-3 goalies. Both K-2 and 3/4 teams play a half field, shorter game with fewer players. (New USL recommendations) 5/6 begin to find positions. Step-up competitiveness. 7/8 positions become more definite. Prepare athletes for high school play.

12 Players Code of Conduct Snohomish Lacrosse Zero Tolerance Policy No foul or intimidating language/behavior, in person and online School work takes priority foster student-athletes Respect to coaches, teammates, referees and opponents Commit to developing as a lacrosse player Arrive at practices and games on time and prepared Be responsible for yourself

13 Parent Code of Conduct Will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player or parent Will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship... Will not encourage any behaviors or practices that would endanger the health and wellbeing of the athletes. Will encourage my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence... Will praise my child for playing hard, competing fairly. Will never ridicule or yell at my child or other participant for making a mistake or losing a game.

21 Optional Tournaments Three Rivers Shootout Kennewick April Harvey Cup June 3-4 Tournaments will be pay-to-play, cost usually $25 per player to cover entry fees. Coaches may have additional requirements for participation

22 Harvey Cup 2017 Harvey Cup 2016 hosted 30+ teams on 5 fields over two days Fundraiser for Snohomish Boys Lacrosse & GP lacrosse Highly regarded tournament for North Sound teams & others It is a substantial undertaking Planning Committee Needed for 2017 Many volunteers needed for Harvey Cup to be successful This is one of the opportunities at the volunteer table

24 Practice Schedules Practices begin week of Feb. 6 Strive for consistency, but patience appreciated Centennial, LSHS, Lake Stevens Community Park, NLMS & Harvey Field (late) 3/4 Twice weekly 5/6 Twice weekly 7/8 Twice weekly Until games begin on 3/4, there will also be Saturday practices

25 Practice Schedule Week of February 6th K2 Doesn t start until Mid- March, but will be Tuesday 5-7 (tentative until coach is confirmed) 3/4 Monday & Wednesday, 5-7 pm 5/6 Tuesday & Thursday, 5-7 pm 7/8 Both teams Monday & Wednesday, 5-7 pm Saturday 2/11 & 2/18 7/8 from am 5/6 & 3/4 from 11-1 Location Probably CMS, to be finalized.
