1 Coach Development Calendar: In 2016 Capital Hockey has partnered with Wellington Hockey and Wairarapa Hockey to run joint coach development opportunities. Through support from Sport Wellington these opportunities will be run at no cost to the participants. The workshops are focused at the following coaching communities; Foundation Coaches: Coaches coaching Small Sticks hockey. Development Coaches: Coaches coaching secondary and club hockey. Performance Coaches: Coaches coaching Capital campaigns. A total of 56 opportunities will be run during 2016 and these course will be run in the following geographic locations; - Kapiti - Porirua - Wellington Central - Lower Hutt - Upper Hutt - Wairarapa Coaches are welcome to attend any of the workshops that are offered. Please note that all opportunities will be capped at 20 participants and preregistration is required for all opportunities. To register please click here In addition to these workshops clubs and schools can request follow up coach observations after attendance at the workshops. There is a charge associated with these observations. Date: Thursday 9 th June Time: 7 8 pm Location: Mazengarb Sports Complex, Mazengarb Reserve, Scaife Drive Goal Keeping Overview: An overview of key techniques and how to incorporate secondary/club goal keepers into your trainings presented by Steffan Fastier from the LEAP Academy.
