1 Rules and Requirements RULES FOR CONTESTANTS 1. Mr. Wisconsin Leather ( MRWL ) Contestants MUST complete and sign the Contestant Application, Contestant Agreement, and Contestant Photo Release Form. 2. The Contestant Registration Fee of $60, payable to Jeff Gruenberger, MRWL Executive Producer, must accompany the Contest Application to be considered complete and accepted. 3. To compete at Mr. Wisconsin Leather, contestants must be 21 years of age or older as of August 16th, 2018; contestants must primarily identify as male; and must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin. In order to verify eligibility, contestants must attach a copy of their legal ID (driver s license or state ID) to this Contestant Application. If contestant has an out-of-state license but now lives in Wisconsin, proof of residency must be provided via utility bill or similar. 4. Contestant Applications should be received as early as possible to assure acceptance. Deadline for submittal is postmarked by Friday, August 3rd, MRWL Contestants are required to provide all information on the Contestant Application and sign both the Contestant Agreement and the Contestant Photo Release. MRWL Contestants agree to appear at all official MRWL V events, including the Friday night SWEAT! Kick-off party, Saturday morning judge s interview, photo sessions, rehearsals, Mr. Wisconsin Leather 2019 contest on Saturday evening, Saturday night INITIATION party, and Survivor s Brunch on Sunday morning. Failure to appear as scheduled may result in disqualification. MRWL reserves the right to remove a Contestant from the competition at any time, for any cause. 6. In order for the Contest Application to be considered complete, it MUST: (i) have all blanks filled in (for example, on page 5, if no other titles have been held, mark N/A on the line); (ii) attach registration fee; (iii) attach copy of legal ID; and (iv) sign where indicated. MR. WISCONSIN LEATHER 2019 TITLEHOLDER RESPONSIBILITIES The winner s responsibility is to represent the Mr. Wisconsin Leather title and Wisconsin s Leather Community in a positive way and act as a leader to build and strengthen the leather, fetish and kink community. THE TITLEHOLDER HAS FIVE REQUIRED ACTIVITIES: 1. Titleholder will represent the Wisconsin Leather Community and compete at International Mr. Leather (IML) 2019, held in Chicago, IL, over Memorial Day Weekend 2. Titleholder will be required to participate in Mr. Wisconsin Leather 2020 activities including being head judge and giving a step-aside speech during the contest. 3. Develop at least one travel fund fundraiser event within 90 days of winning the title. 4. Host at least two fundraising benefit event for a charity of the titleholder s choosing prior to IML. 5. Create and maintain an active online presence via Facebook, Twitter, or MRWL website blogs. It is EXPECTED that the Titleholder participate in as many Wisconsin event as possible, including, but not limited to: Event nights hosted by various leather/fetish/kink organizations or bars/clubs throughout the State. The three statewide pride events (Milwaukee Pridefest, Green Bay Pride Alive, and Madison Pride Block Party). other Leather, Fetish, Kink, or Gay Performance Title Contests throughout the State. Additional suggested events include: Mid-Atlantic Leather (MAL) in Washington D.C. in January; Cleveland Leather Awareness Weekend (CLAW) in April; Mr. Chicago Leather Contest; Mr. Minneapolis Eagle Contest; Mr. Twin Cities Leather Contest; Mr. Iowa Leather Weekend; Mr. Michigan Leather Weekend; Mr. Midwest Leather Weekend; and Wisconsin Leather/Levi Daddy/Daddy s boy Weekend; Titleholder will refrain from excessive public intoxication while representing the title and completely refrain from any U.S. federally prohibited illegal chemical substances. Grossly inappropriate or illegal behavior are grounds for removal of title, at the sole discretion of the executive producer(s). If any of the above requirements are not met, the winner may be required to relinquish the title to the first runner-up. Adherence to these requirements and dismissal of title for these or any other reason is at the sole discretion of the executive producer(s).

2 Prizes and Judging Criteria PRIZES : leather title sash, leather title patch, title medallion, International Mr. Leather 2019 package, other prizes First Runner-Up - placement medallion JUDGING CRITERIA Contestants will be judged in four categories for a total of 100 points per judge. Total maximum of five judges is 500 points. A Contestant s score is simply a combination of the scores from the five judges from each of the four categories, and the contestant with the highest total score will be named Mr. Wisconsin Leather. In the event of a tie, the judges will be asked to name their choice for Mr. Wisconsin Leather from the tied contestants via secret ballot. The contestant with the most votes will be named Mr. Wisconsin Leather. INTERVIEW (0 to 40 points) This is the key portion of the contest. The interview is held on Saturday morning, in a private setting, with only the contestant and the judges present. Questions can range from Leather History to current key issues and events and how they affect the leather community. Information from the Contestant Application is also available to the judges for possible question or explanation. Number of questions or length of interview will be determined by the judging panel prior to the interviews and will be the same for each contestant. Judges will observe how the contestant communicates their thoughts, knowledge, and their efforts to impact the community through personal involvement. Contestants are to dress in their idea of appropriate leather contest interview attire. BAR WEAR (0 to 15 points) The bar wear category begins the evening s public portion of the contest. Contestants will be individually presented on-stage and give a brief introduction of themselves. For the purposes of this contest, bar wear is defined as leather attire which one would wear for a casual leather event or for going to a non-formal leather bar. Bar wear must include at least one leather item besides a leather belt or leather boots. During all stage portions of the contest, contestants will be allowed one individual backstage to act as a handler to assist in changing clothing. FETISH/KINK WEAR AND ON-STAGE QUESTION (0 to 20 points) This portion of the contest focuses on physical appearance, however, the judges are not looking for the best body, but rather how the contestant demonstrates confidence with the body they have. Classic examples include jockstraps, erotic sportswear, and harness, or similar gear. Also during this portion of the contest, contestants will answer a question prepared for them by the judges after their earlier private interview. The question may be based on information from their contestant application or from conversation during the private interview. The contestant will be given their question at the beginning of the evening contest portion, in order to prepare a light-hearted answer. Responses should be kept short and on-point. FULL LEATHER IMAGE AND SPEECH (0 to 25 points) This final portion of the contest allows the contestants to strut their stuff on stage in their best formal leather gear and gives the contestants one last opportunity to tell the judges who they are. The focus by the judges is to see how well each contestant communicates the ideal leather image through appearance and attitude. Also during this portion of the contest, contestants will deliver a 90-second speech, on a topic of their choosing. The only requirement is that the topic must relate to the leather community or about the contestant themselves. A minimum of five points will be deducted for exceeding the 90-second time limit. Remember, judges are not looking for the most chiseled features nor the most muscle body, but rather the man who best exemplifies the ideal LEATHERMAN. That is, someone whose poise and self-assurance, whose very presence and character embodies the special and identifiable quality recognized as LEATHER.

4 Contestant Photo Release For and in consideration of my being allowed to pose, perform, and/or appear on the stage as a contestant during the Mr. Wisconsin Leather contest weekend, I hereby give Mr. Wisconsin Leather, MRWL, Inc., their legal representatives, producers, assigns, photographers, employees, or persons for whom they are working, the right and permission to copyright and/or use, reuse, broadcast, and/or publish and republish photographic pictures or portraits of me in conjunction with my name, including audio and video recordings, made through any medium and any studio, for any purpose whatsoever including the use of any printed matter in conjunction therewith, without monetary or other compensation or royalties. I hereby waive any rights to inspect or approve the finished photograph, advertising copy, printed matter, audio or video matter that may be used in conjunction therewith, or to the eventual use that it might be applied.
