Passed athletes must be seen making immediate and constant rear progress up to a distance of four bike lengths before trying to pass, to avoid Drafting call. The triathlon is an individual sport and so it is the responsibility of each athlete to know the rules of the competence and avoid penalties. The referee s ruling is final in the case of POSITION violations, and there are no protests or appeals.
