Everyone The City of Clearwater, City St. Petersburg, Clearwater/St. Petersburg Sports Commission and LBYSA, Inc. would like to welcome you to the Tampa Bay Area and the beautiful cities of Clearwater & St. Petersburg, FL. The track meet venue has been re-located from Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg to Clearwater H.S. in Clearwater, FL. The track&field facility is a (8) lane rubberized track with a Steeple chase water jump, therefore all 2000M Steeplechase competitors will be able to qualify at this event rather than having to travel to Gainesville as previously announced. The event will be contested at Clearwater H.S. We are looking forward to hosting everyone for this very important event in youth track & field. We promise you will not be disappointed. There will be a meet program available FREE of charge in addition to on-site photos that will available for purchase. The Residence Inn located at 940 court street-clearwater, Fl will be the host hotel. Enclosed are flyers for ALL the Preferred Hotels for this meet. They are offering affordable rates. All the hotels are within 2-8 miles of the school and surrounded by countless restaurants and places to shop. Also, included in this formation is the Schedule of Events. 2 Qualifying to the AAU JO Games: The top 4 finishers in each event will qualify to the AAU National JO s in Des Moines, Iowa. August 1-8, The FINAL Jr. Olympic Games Schedule will be posted on July 28, at AAU Jr. Olympic Games Declaration & Registration Information: Qualifiers for the National Jr. Olympic Games in Des Moines, Iowa must declare and register for the meet at Coach O. com before July 24, No entries will be accepted after Midnight EST (9:00pm on the West Coast). Do not jeopardize your athlete s chance of competing by not completing this step before the National JO Games. REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER THE FIVE (5) DAY CHALLENGE PERIOD IS COMPLETED. 5 Field Events Schedule of Events All Field Events will follow the time schedule below. Each Age Group may start up to 30 minutes early before the schedule start time. Listen to announcements for calls to your Field Event. Any athlete who does not check-in before their designated flight starts will be scratched from the event. Field Event athletes who have a conflict with a running event will be released by the Field Event official ONLY - at the appropriate time. Field Event athletes will have 10 minutes to report back to their Field Event after their running event and be ready to compete. Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus and Javelin will be contested with three preliminary jumps or throws and the top 8 will qualify for the finals with three additional jumps or throws. *Triple Jump will be contested immediately following the YM and YW Long Jump for all Age Groups on Saturday.
