2 General information: Construction: Oak doubel frame 160mm (2x80mm) with frame distance of 240mm Oak hull Eiche 50mm Deck 50mm two layer Larch on plywood, glued and sealed with WKT Lying on Oak deckhead beams 100x 100mm Superstructure and sky lights massiv Oak Stern frame and stem bar made of Oak Keel structure made of beech Buche (partly new in oak) Masts and spars made of Larch and Douglas Fir Refits: 1997: Stern frames, all frames in stern section and 120m hull planks : Deckhead beams, slings, deck and superstructure 2000: replacement of all sails and running rigging 2001: Planks changed on port side (60m) 2001: new engine incl. new gearbox, shaft, propeller and keel cooler 2002: Converted into schooner rigging, main mast new and partly sails 2002: Interior new in salon and pantry 2003: new tanks, heating and generator 2009: Stem bar, several frames and change of 70m planks 2011: replacement of midship frames, floor plates and 60m planks new 2011: refit of standing rigging 2012: Sheer strakes both sides, all stanchions, gunwhale and bulwark planks new 2013: 40m hull planks changed, shaft bearing, caulking and new painting for hull above and under water line

3 History and technical facts : History: 1936: built at Traeskibswerft K. Andersen in Frederikssund - Denmark : running as fishing vessel named TERJE VIKKEN von Thyborön on the North Sea 1943: Sold to a fisherman in Rostock Warnemünde (Germany) and named HELGA II End of the fifties the fisherman escaped with the boat from DDR to West Germany and worked with HELGA II as fisherman in Heiligenhafen until : HELGA II was taken off the fishing and converted into a sailing boat on the yard of Hans Michaelsen in Sonderborg, DK and named: PHÖNIX From beginning of the Eighties until 1995 used as chartervessel in Kappeln, North Germany with different owners 1995: sold to a man in Cuxhaven, North Germany and taken over by the current owner one year later and taken to Rügen, North Germany. Since1996 the current owner (Master of boat building and owner of a yard ) refiited PHÖNIX completely and used thew boat as pleasure sailing yacht.
