1 2010 Round Denmark to Germany and Sweden We leave the river Wesa and head out into the North Sea. Finally we are sailing! Destination: Helgoland!

2 Sympathy little Island Helgoland invites to watch birds and restock the boat!

3 We feel happy to be under sails again. The North Sea is gentle and its fun to try our boat which we never sailed before. Reaching the German island Sylt

5 The weather is good and we do not want to go into another Canal. So we decide to head up north along the Danish coast and take the Limford to reach the Baltic Sea.

6 Sailing through the Limfjord is enjoyable: quiet water without wakes, pretty towns and beaches and many anchorages. Perfect!

8 We reach the Baltic Sea and her shallow, green waters. We make another detour: exploring the Danish Mariagerfjord

10 The Dens take good care of their traditional vessels.

11 Zu Visiting the Vikings: at the Viking farm and the Long-house in pretty village Hobro.

12 Back in the open Baltic we sail on to reach the Danish Islands. Nickname: Danish Southern Seas!

14 No wonder we love Denmark: pretty islands, old style towns, sun, beaches, beautiful sailing weather!

17 Germany also impresses with its pretty Baltic coast. We stop in Flensburg and Heiligenhafen and make sure to get place for the winter in the Marina of Flensburg.

18 Bornholm is going to be our last Danish island before heading to Sweden. Enjoying the beautiful island: we hike all over the north coast.

22 Wir erreichen Schweden, oder besser gesagt die schwedische Insel Gotland. Nach tagelangem Schönwetter holt uns ein Gewittersturm ein und wir suchen Schutz an der Mole vom aufgelassenen Kalkwerk in Blase Finally we reach Sweden better said the Swedish island Gotland. We hide behind the old peer of Blese: storms coming...

23 The following day the weather improves and we can hike around to explore the island.

25 Using the bikes to get to the Raukas: strange stone formations designed by the Baltic Sea.

26 Small islands, forests and yachts where ever you look: we reached the archipelago of Stockholm where more than islands wait to explore.

29 After days in Swedens capital we leave the city and sail through the pretty downs arround Stockholm. We find so much to see, so we decide to stay in the area for the summer and enjoy the archipelago.

33 Slowly fall is coming. Anchorages are getting lonely and the weather needs careful planing. Time, to head south again and leave the Swedish islands behind.

34 Strong headwind stops us for days at the island Øland. No problem: the island is magnificent and we are ready to hike some more.

36 Southern Sweden does treat us well with a try and warm fall, empty anchorages and nice towns. We enjoy our last days in Sweden and feel happy to have spend a summer in this pretty Scandinavian country.

37 Heading back to Denmark, where we visit Copenhagen and sail to some more Danish islands.

39 Finally we are back in Flensburg where we spend the winter and form a new plan: we want to see more of the Scandinavian coasts and will sail coming year up north along the Norwegian coast!
