Back in 1971 Tom Murrant, the founder of our company, was a structural engineer in search of a cabin cruiser for himself and his family, a quest that took in the pages of every boating magazine and a

This simple but challenging phrase has been at the very heart of Sealine since its beginning. Back in 1971 Tom Murrant, the founder of our company, was a structural engineer in search of a cabin cruiser for himself and his family, a quest that took in the pages of every boating magazine and a lengthy tour of the country s marinas. The search was to prove unfruitful. Undeterred he began designing his own boat to his own specification. With the help of three colleagues he set about turning his plans into reality in the garage of his home. The result of the determination and spirit of adventure emerging from this makeshift headquarters was not just the perfect 23-foot cruiser for Tom and his family, but the foundation for an entire approach to boat building. Sealine was formed in 1972 and earned a reputation for individually hand-built family boats blending traditional skills with innovation. That drive and energy still takes the company forwards today with a management team led by Managing Director Steve Coultate and the vision of a pioneering design team. Building on our considerable marine strengths within the company by introducing some of the best talent from outside, the team is further enhancing the Sealine product range. From the very first Sealine cruiser the 23ft Continental our range now extends to 11 models spanning 29 to 60 feet from sports boats and flybridge cruisers through to luxury motor yachts. Creations united by our characteristic use of space to form light, relaxing and immensely sociable environments. And this line up now includes the award-winning SC35 and the stunning new SC47 signalling exciting new horizons for boating enthusiasts. Carsten Astheimer, Design Director An overwhelming desire to head towards the horizon guides our pens. The desire to explore and look beyond has shaped the world around us, enriched our lives. Pushing boundaries has always been the driving force for the Sealine design vision with innovative touches, stylish practicality, seaworthiness, space, light and comfort forming the defining principles for our boats. And now we are taking these principles to new heights enriching the experience with the very best of contemporary British design. In fact our Design Director, Carsten Astheimer, embarked on a tour to talk with Sealine customers at length, while his team visited marinas to gain even greater insight into the views of a wide audience of boat owners on styling, usage, what you like, and just as importantly, what you don t. So you can be sure that when we evolve new designs we do so in a way that is logical and with reason, never superfluous. Clarity of thinking behind every line and touch. Making changes for the better, not for the sake of it. Harnessing sophisticated design systems and programmes, yet always remaining true to our nautical traditions. The dramatic results can be seen in boats such as the SC35 and SC47. Clear signals of our continuing commitment to creating highly desirable and relevant boats. Boats like no other where your sense of fun and adventure can thrive. All of this works in harmony with the vitally important work of our Naval Architects, led by Richard Crocker. Their evolution of Sealine s distinctive deep V hulls to maximise internal volume and waterline length has led to a pleasingly aesthetic silhouette. Design and function all considered as a coherent whole to blend style and freedom with safe, efficient performance. Simplicity and solidity brought together effortlessly. 7 To ensure you can enjoy the comfort and sanctuary of a Sealine, we put our boats through hell. Becoming a Sealine boat is a far from easy process. From the drawing board through to the finished product we have robust procedures to check and verify quality every step of the way. Our Design Validation Process and Reporting encompasses a gruelling marathon of 232 tests. We employ sophisticated procedures normally associated with much larger yachts and ships such as Finite Element Analysis. This allows us to calculate the stress and displacement of forces on the boat helping to reduce long-term fatigue and improve laminate design and performance. While Scale Model testing of hull shapes means we can carry out precise measurements to optimise the performance, efficiency, safety and comfort of the boat before it is even built. Computational Fluid Dynamics are used to simulate the flow of air and water over our boats, a technique which has helped us create new, dynamic hull designs combining minimum resistance with increased fuel economy. And once these punishing virtual tests are complete our boats have to come through equally daunting challenges in the real world. At our Sea Trial Centre all new models are rigorously tested. The SC38 for instance went through a whole year s worth of typical usage in just 3 months. These demanding trials are conducted by our own master yachtsman. A seasoned veteran who, with over 10,000 hours at sea aboard Sealine boats, helps validate design and build. We even go to the extreme of taking our boats out in storms up to gale force 8 with winds up to 40 knots and waves as high as 4 metres so that you know our boats are solid enough to get you back should you be caught offshore. And because we go this far, all of our boats fully comply with the demands of category B of the European Union s Recreational Craft Directive. All with the added reassurance that every Sealine is also stability tested to category B with hulls designed to ISO12215 a stringent standard we were working to a year before it was introduced. Lastly, before leaving for the dealership, every boat has to successfully pass our Finished Boat Audit. And throughout all of this, a tradition established by our founder Tom Murrant is continued by Steve Coultate and his senior management team as they walk the factory every week to listen to input, assess quality and ensure consistency. We simply believe in doing the right thing, not the easy thing. So that you can sail away aboard quality cruisers that make you feel safe, reassured and relaxed.

9 F46 A space like no other. Introducing the new F46 the natural choice for exploring new horizons. Inspired by the simplicity of Modern British Design, we have created the F46 a boat that is built for adventure, yet still feels like a home from home. The F46 has an open-plan feel throughout. From the extending flybridge to the airy lower deck, every area of the craft seamlessly connects. Whilst the combination of contemporary interiors and the efficient use of space and light, further create the impression of being on board a much bigger boat. On entering the cockpit, you ll notice the dramatic beam to length ratio and ample headroom. No natural barriers separate the cockpit from the saloon, as a set of double glass doors can be opened up, transforming the two areas into one large sociable space. The handcrafted furnishings work harmoniously together with the L shaped sofas in the saloon, complementing the seating for six in the cockpit. F46

There s even the option of a three cabin layout. This features a high level galley allowing for a third portside cabin with two extra bunks. There s even a hidden double bed created by enlarging the ottoman and placing it within the U-shaped seating. Because of this, if you choose a 3 cabin version of the F42/5 you ll be able to accommodate eight guests.

F37 Whether you re at the helm, soaking up the sun or simply relaxing with a glass of something chilled to celebrate your arrival, we know that flybridge owners like to spend as much time as possible in this area of the boat. So naturally we concentrate on making our flybridges as versatile and sociable as possible. On the F37, not only does the helmseat have the flybridge s table stored within, but it also rotates to provide all-round seating for entertainment and dining. A vast sunpad completes the layout giving the impression of being aboard a much larger craft. Descend the stairs to the cockpit and you ll find an equally appealing area to socialise in. The saloon has a comfortable U-shaped settee with another two-seater ottoman on the port side which acts as an infill for the settee, creating an extra double berth. The comfortable accommodation comprises a large forward master cabin, with a twin cabin on the starboard side that can quickly be converted into a double. Separate shower and toilet compartments complete the layout below deck. And unlike many boats in its class, the F37 is powered by a shaft-driven engine rather than a stern drive.
