Their apparently simple and natural shape was developed to optimize the advantages of maximum strength, single point attachment for ease of deployment and stable performance. Fabricated from high tenacity polyester Trevira cloth coated with P.V.C., each parachute lifting bag is complete and ready for use when leaving our manufacturing facility. All JW Automarine lifting bags pass rigorous Quality Control and are inspected to BS EN ISO 9001 requirements and to Defence Standard as well as complying with the IMCA D016 guidelines. Because of the relatively low storage space required for these lifting bags compared with the upward force they are capable of exerting in use, they have become essential tools in all manner of submarine civil engineering, offshore, salvage and military operations. Without doubt the JW Automarine parachute type lifting bags represent the most versatile and generally useful of all underwater lifting bags. 5 PREMIER PARACHUTE TOTALLY ENCLOSED LIFTBAG A hybrid of the parachute and totally enclosed range is the closed bottom parachute lifting bag. This model suffixed with TE would be suited for situations where the lift is in shallow water, perhaps fast current, and where lift and tow is required. These lift bags can be used as an open bottomed liftbag by removing the 4 cap from the base.
