Define The vessel s systems and equipment configuration operational mode Operational parameters and limits covering equipment and conditions operational guidance The actions to be taken in response to faults and deteriorating conditions 2. Present the plan in an easy to understand decision support tool Requires a thorough knowledge of: the DP system the DP FMEA the industrial mission vessel location risk assessments 6

A Company DP Authority A person who provides advice on DP assurance processes and is typically employed within A DP vessel operator A DP vessel chartering company (The client) 2. A DP Trials & Assurance Practitioner A person actively involved in producing and assessing the results of DP FMEA s, FMEA proving trials and DP annual trial programmes 11
