At Canary Divers, we are making the most of the Dive season, with loads going on. What a roaring success the advertised liveaboard for next years holiday has been, with a total sell out of the boat within 10 days THANK YOU for your support! We are now collecting a backup list and if we get enough names then we do have an option to add another boat. If you have missed the boat, but still want to come on the liveaboard then please let us know and we ll try to help Over the next month we have 3 trips planned Bovisand, Vivian, and of course the club holiday to Gozo New Suppliers Join Canary Divers! 2 Advanced Open Water & Rescue Courses Our programme of Advanced and Rescue courses are currently in full swing. For those considering Advanced Open Water its not too late to join the fun. For those who missed the boat on the Rescue course, then due to pressing demand we ll be running another in October so register your interest now GOZO Planning Everyone going to Gozo should by now have seen the Gozo Special Edition Newsletter if you haven t, then its important that you read it a copy is available at: Sea Diving (Inc GOZO) Essentials Remember, Gozo is sea diving, we want to ensure that it is a safe dive week, by all divers having the right equipment In addition to your wetsuit / boots / fins / bcd / regulators.please remember: a) Weightbelt whilst the Dive Centre will provide weight, they don t provide weight belts so please bring one with you b) Reels and SMB s each buddy pair should have at least one of these between them remember, this is sea diving and a reel / SMB is a must c) Dive Knives each buddy pair should have at least one between them, in case of any fishing line entanglement d) Torch an optional extra in case anyone finds any of the caves too daunting! Needless to say we know a good place where you can purchase any of the above If you haven t called in the shop recently, then please come take a look the stock levels are well up and hopefully there is something for everyone! 6 2012 Canary Divers Club Holiday - SOLD OUT (collecting Reserve List Now) We are pleased to announce that we are close to finalising next years club holiday a week ALL INCLUSIVE on the much acclaimed MY Blue Horizon Winner of Livaboard Of The Year for 3 years running (only the best for Canary Divers Members!) We are finalising the dates which will either be 24 th to 31 st August 2012, or 31 st August to 6 th September 2012 The Itinerary A mixture of Wrecks and Reefs! This itinerary follows a North and Brothers route and during the week, divers will experience the excitement of diving famous wrecks of the Red Sea, including the SS Thistlegorm, Carnatic, Ulysses, Ghiannis D and the Dunraven. This allows divers who love wrecks to dive just that, so anyone who has an active interest in wreck diving will love this itinerary. However, it is also interesting to bear in mind is that many of these Red Sea wrecks have been underwater for a very long time and have formed 'artificial reefs', teeming with life. This itinerary would therefore be enjoyed by all divers We will be issuing a separate bulletin for this holiday VERY shortly - The Holiday price is 1200 per person (sorry) but for that you are getting all travel (excl transport to Manchester), unlimited diving on one of the best itineraries and best boats in the Red Sea (as you will see from the pictures below), fully crewed and guided boat, all soft drinks, hot drinks, food, Nitrox etc (Any alchoholic drinks must be paid for) This boat is now FULL however we are taking reserve names in case anyone backs out and in addition, if we get enough reserve names (10), then we MAY have an option to tag an additional boat alongside us Follow Us On Facebook!
