Tags will identify the employee who locked out the piece of equipment.

2 A lock or a tag is placed on the equipment in a position that prohibits it from being turned on. Tags will be used in conjunction with the locks. Tags will identify the employee who locked out the piece of equipment. Only the person who locked out the equipment is authorized to remove the lock.

3 Use lockout devices for equipment that can be locked out. A Tag can be used only if machines or equipment cannot physically be locked out.
