12 Bio Centre Adventures At Anantara Kihavah Villas we appreciate and respect the importance of protecting and sustaining the incredible environment within which we are so fortunate to operate. To this end we have established a Bio Centre staffed by a resident Marine Biologist. Our Bio Centre Adventures afford you a unique opportunity to discover and explore marine life with the Marine Biologist and Bio Centre staff, and to partake in our Coral Adoption programme. Please note that all excursion rates are per person, unless otherwise stated and usually require a minimum of four participants. You may also choose a private adventure at an additional fee. Even with our extensive local experience and specialist knowledge nature dictates and animal sightings cannot be guaranteed. You may collect your complimentary snorkelling set from the Dive Centre. Turtle Quest (2 hours) 90 We are lucky enough to be surrounded by reefs where sea turtles feed and rest. Usually we can snorkel with hawksbill turtles, one of the friendliest species. Jump into their natural environment and try to spot these adorable creatures. Snorkel Escape (1.5 hours) 75 Grab your mask and fins and hop on our boats to enjoy a short getaway at one of our pristine reefs around Anantara! Under the supervision of your knowledgeable Elements team you will discover an entire new world.

15 Marine Photo Adventure (2 hours) 110 For the ones who would love having fantastic souvenirs of their snorkelling trip! Your Elements team will take an underwater camera and shoot beautiful pictures of you and your close ones and the amazing marine life of the coral reefs nearby! All the pictures are uploaded on a memory stick and will be provided in the evening. Manta Snorkelling (2.5 hours) 170 One of the most amazing fish in the ocean! During the season, they can aggregate by tens to feed or to get cleaned. There are many places around Anantara where we can swim with these gentle giants so hop on our Dhonis or speed boat for a trip of a lifetime! We are proud to operate a fully natural interaction with marine life whereby in order to minimise our impact on their natural behaviour we do not offer incentives such as food. Therefore, while it is normal to see the dolphins, turtles or manta rays during the excursions, sightings cannot be guaranteed.

16 Bio Centre Adventures Hire the marine biologist as your private guide (per excursion or dive) 250 Enrich your marine experience by hiring our resident Marine Biologist as your guide on any private charter. Research ID shoot and seasonal adventures Join our resident Marine Biologist on an essential on-going research snorkelling adventure to take identification photos of animals such as mantas and turtles. Please visit the Dive Centre for more information on this private adventure and other seasonal excursions. Coral adoption programme During the development of Anantara Kihavah Villas the Elements Kihavah Team nurtured small corals and created coral gardens in various areas of the lagoon by attaching the growing corals on frames. This conservation effort proved to be very successful and the initial results can already be seen around the island. However, this is an on-going process and you are encouraged to contribute to the project by adopting a coral frame and participating in the creation and planting thereof. Three different frame sizes are available for sponsorship: Small 100 Medium 200 Large 400 After you have adopted a coral frame you can monitor the growing process online as the Marine Biologist uploads images every three months.

All rates are in USD and activities are quoted per person per hour, unless otherwise stated. All dive courses are offered for a minimum of two people. Private lessons are available at an additional fee. Bio Centre Adventures are not refundable in the event that certain marine life is not seen. Most scheduled excursions require a minimum of four people. Private charters vessels can be arranged with a guide, subject to availability. All activity, adventure and excursion participants do so at their own risk and all water sport activities are subject to weather conditions. All participants in all water based activities are required to complete and sign a liability release releasing the operator and resort of all liability. Furthermore, all participants in all water based activities (except for Scuba Diving) must wear a life vest. The operator reserves the right to suspend any given activity or excursion at any time. Lost or damaged equipment will be charged at replacement cost rates. A competency assessment (at a small fee) is required for the use of windsurfing and kiting equipment unless under instruction.
