Please be careful not to spill paths, streets and houses with your ski-run. 4. Please take the resident s problems seriously. A friendly «Hello» helps to more comprehension for freeriding. 5. Please don t use private properties without asking in advance. 6. Please be careful, do not ride in the rest area for game.

Bad weather, interruption of service, closing of ski-runs and unforeseen shortening of your stay (for any reason) does not warrant a refund or extension of your ticket. Every misuse of a ticket will result in the immediate invalidation of the ticket without reimbursement. Careless behaviour, trespassing in wild-life zones and disregard of warning signs can result in a person being refused further transport on any of the lifts. Proof of identity must be shown before requesting any kind of price-reduction ticket. Later there can be no refund. Refund in the case of illness or accident can only be made on the presentation of a doctor s certificate and only for the days shown on this medical statement. 8 Hiking in Winter The Brunni region is a popular hiking area not just in summer, but in winter as well, when you can enjoy the 15 km of wellmarked, groomed hiking trails. Enjoy marvellous views on the sunny side of Engelberg to the surrounding mountains. One trail starts at Ristis where you hike up to SAC Brunnihütte. In the middle of the trail is the Rigidal Alpine hut, where you can take a break for food and drinks. Enjoy the silence of the nature and clear alpine air. You can also hike from Ristis downhill over Bergli or over Schwand back to Engelberg. These trails all lead through marvellous winter landscape.

9 Sledging The Brunni-area offers a sledding run from the Brunnihütte to Ristis for sledging fans. The 2.5 km, sunny sledging trail guarantees tons of downhill fun for the whole family. While going up the mountain is quick and easy thanks to the chairlift, the only thing that may limit the speed of your sledge going down is the fluffy powder snow! For unlimited sledging fun buy a day pass for the lifts. You forgot your sledge? No problem! Sledges can be rented at the base station of the chairlift. For the youngest it is best to sledge at Globis Winterland Klostermatte. Sledges can be rented here as well.

10 To go snowshoeing Our two snowshoe trails with a longitude of about 6 km are midst untouched countryside and lead through Wildlife sanctuary zones. You will find animals footprints and it will be an unforgettable experience. Riedalp-Trail (hiking time about 1 hour 30 min., longitude 2.46 km) Off the beaten track. The trail starts at the Bergrestaurant Ristis (1600 m.a.s.l.) in eastern direction over Ried. A lookout awaits you with a breathtaking view to the snow-covered Hahnen. Further on, in direction to Ruchweg back to the starting point. The snowshoetrail is slightly hilly, but not too steep. It leads through our wonderful winter landscape, past Wildlife sanctuary zones. Schönenboden-Trail (hiking time about 2 hours 30 min., longitude 3.52 km) Explore with snowshoes on your feet the Brunni area in wintertime, breath fresh alpine air and enjoy breathtaking views. This trail also starts at the Bergrestaurant Ristis, you walk in west direction of the valley station from the chairlift along the street. After about 1 km it goes uphill, once at the highest point, you will enjoy the view to Engelberg. After that, it goes slowly downhill through the forest back to the starting point. On this trail there are several altitude differences to get over. This trail is slightly more difficult than the Riedalp-Trail. Ristis

11 Paragliding The Brunni area is one of the few areas in Switzerland which has great thermals for winter paragliding. Start your flight from one of two prepared take-off points. The starting point is easily accessible if you take the aerial cablecar and the chairlift. The landing area is right next to the valley station of the Brunni cablecar station. The landing fee goes completely to the landowners for their living. 12 Klostermatte near the village of Engelberg Globi s Winterland offers a child-friendly learning environment to meet the special needs of our younger guests. These include 2 ski lifts, 2 magic carpet lifts, a ski carousel and various attractions on the trail itself. The Winterland is situated directly at the valley station of the Brunni cablecar, skibus station and parking facilities are available.

13 The ultimate beginner s slope! For our younger guests, Globis Winterland means a lot of fun. Enjoy some unforgettable hours with your children and Globi. The «Chämihütte» provides snacks, small meals, cold and warm beverages and sweets in a heated Globi tent. Night-skiing Every Friday ( ) from 06.00pm to 09.00pm night-skiing and air boarding, drinks and snacks are available in the Chämihütte.

14 Yeti-Park The Yeti Park is a children s adventure park located directly behind the Restaurant Ristis near the mountain station of the cablecar. Magic carpets and a pony lift provide problemfree and easy transportation up the hill. Through natural and man-made obstacles, bumps and dips, slalom courses, etc. kids can learn how to ski in a playful way, without fear. Simply go sledging or play in the snow. Ski lessons are being offered in the Yeti Park, so even the youngest guests can quickly learn to ski while having a lot of fun. There is also a snack stand, open in fair weather.

You will find a small paradise in the snowcovered winter landscape with ambiance to feel good and culinary highlights in the center of the Brunni area. The qualified and ambitious Ristis Team will be pleased to provide the setting for your group event, company jubilee or other celebration. Here you can enjoy an unique event. A hot spiced wine or hot chocolate at the magnificent terrace with breath-taking view to the surrounding mountains is always a good start for a wonderful winterday in the mountains. This does not only warm your limbs, but it is also a heart-warming experience. For private events at the Bergrestaurant Ristis you could book extra tours independent on the timetable of the aerial cablecar.

17 Fondue-Friday What do you do on a cold Friday evening? Thank god it is Fondue-Friday at Ristis, from the 28 th December on you can visit this event every friday. This offer includes the ride up and down to Ristis an aperitif with a hot spiced wine and a 3 course menu with cheese fondue as a main course. As a further highlight you can book a snowshoe tour. 19 Special-offers for groups in the Brunni area Rent a Skilift (exclusive skiing by night) Rent a skilift exclusive for one evening for you and your friends. You can rent every evening our skilifts on Klostermatte from 17.30h until 21.00h, make a fun ski-race or enjoy the skiing by night. During this time you will get an aperitif in the chämihütte. After skiing you have the possibility to go with the cablecar to the Bergrestaurant Ristis and eat a delicious Engelberger Cheese Fondue (3-course menu) there.
