5 John Estle s recommendation is that it is important to develop Chiefs of Competition. There is no formal training / but lots of resources are needed and are available. Matt Pauli U16 competition is a good idea such as eastern U16 and Western Regionals. Discussed that it is difficult to send our U16s on something like that in addition/instead of JNs. Folks interested in the track to be an FIS TD: FIS TDs get national assignments Takes 4 years fast tracked. TD at international level is fun. Should have good organizational skills. Alan Serrano & Matt Pauli get international assignments Should serve as Assistant TDs & be on a jury. Reason for avoided 10K later was that Feb is loaded with so many races that having a big distance. Strabel young age sprint: U08/U10/U meters Venue specific consideration.
