1 Welcome to Crystal View! We are excited you chose our condo for your Destin vacation. We have a large family and had many great times at Crystal View. We've even experienced a hurricane or two here. Please take a minute to look through our guide that will cover unit rules and information about Crystal View and Destin. Second Cell text only crystalviewproperties@gmail.com Sliding Glass Door The sliding glass door is used a lot during the year. Please be sure when opening and closing not to slam the door shut. The door can come off the track if slammed. If this happens you can simply lift the door back onto the track. Refrigerator / Freezer In Florida the weather can be very humid. Keep this in mind when loading groceries and opening the freezer door as it can freeze over when kept open. This will cause the freezer to take longer to cool. The settings on the refrigerator are set to the optimum settings so that this does not happen. Please do not change the settings. Washer/Dryer The washer and dryer should be in good working condition. Please do not overload the dryer with beach towels as this will only cause longer drying times. PLEASE WASH THE SAND off any items you use and place them back in the closet neatly. If you have items you wish to leave feel free to do so but please do not leave broken or unusable items in the closet. Please do not leave chairs or umbrellas on beach overnight or for long times unattended as they will disappear. We understand things break or do get lost on the beach occasionally, if anything major happens just drop us an so we know to replace.

3 Check In and Check Out Procedure We work with you a best possible on check-in and check-out but please keep in mind our cleaning crew is on a tight schedule. Keys Our condo has an electronic lock. We will issue you a code for your stay before you arrive. You will get this via . Please enter this code in your phone for safe keeping. Our codes have been very reliable but if you do have a problem getting in call Check-In Check in for Crystal View is at 3:00 p.m. unless otherwise arranged. -You will get an about getting in your unit -Take note of unit. If you find anything that seems out of place, broken etc... please let us know Check-Out Check out for Crystal View is at 10:00 a.m. unless otherwise arranged. -Please take all sheets and pillow casings off beds and lay them on floor next to bed -Take ALL trash to dumpster at the end of parking lot -Do not leave any food in refrigerator or freezer -Load and start dishwasher -Sand please do not leave sand throughout the condo. -Leave any keys on kitchen counter -Have a safe trip home! NOTE: Failure of the above will result in extra cleaning charges.

4 RULES - PLEASE READ PETS are not permitted under any conditions. NO Smoking ($250/day cleaning fee) NO underage drinking (violation will be immediate dismissal) NO unaccompanied students or singles unless pre-approved under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. NO charcoal or gas grills on balcony. DEPOSIT- A deposit of $250 is required. After departure unit will be inspected and a refund will be issued with 14 business days. Debris, rubbish and discards are placed in dumpster at end of parking lot Any keys are to be returned and unit is left locked. Lost Pool keys are $15. Linens are not lost or damaged. PAYMENT - Payment is due (60) days prior to arrival date. CANCELLATIONS - A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. HURRICANE POLICY In the unlikely event of a hurricane we will issue a refund in the event of a Hurricane Warning or Mandatory Evacuation. MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS - Monthly renters must cancel ninety (90) days prior to arrival. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least sixty (60) days prior to arrival. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY- The maximum number of guests per condominium is limited to ten (10) persons. NON-INCLUSIVE FEES Rates do no include transfers or transportation. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE - Linens and bath towels are available in the condo however, daily maid service is not included. Pool and Beach towels not included. RATE CHANGES Rates are subject to change until your deposit is received. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS - Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in.

5 TV, DVD, Internet TV Each television should have a remote control. The televisions in the living area and master bedroom will have two as they have a cable box. DVD players are located in all rooms. Cable Box The silver Cox remotes work the cable box. You can press the "guide" on the remote to see a TV listing of shows and channels. Both cable boxes are also DVRs and will let you record shows to the cable box. You can visit cox.com and select Destin area for their channel lineup. HD TV The living area TV is also a High Definition Television or HD TV. HD channels start at 700. You have many local channels as well as cable channels like ESPN, FOX, CNN, Discovery, History and more in HD. Internet Access Crystal View also has high speed Internet and wireless Internet. If you want to connect with a CAT 5 network cable simple connect to the back of the blue linksys router. Connecting to Internet via wireless The Wireless IS and password is on the refrigerator door. Connecting to Internet via Cat5 cable The Internet router is located in the master bedroom in 203 and next to HD TV in 404. If you have a network Cat5 cable you can plug it into the back of the router. Troubleshoot Internet The Internet connection has been very reliable. If you experience a problem try rebooting the equipment by turning the power off and on again on the router and cable modem. Internet Mail Settings Our Internet is provided by Cox Internet. You can go to their website to see outgoing mail settings.

6 MAP and CONDO location The address for our condo is 2440 Scenic Hwy 98. Please note our road is sometimes called Old Scenic 98 or Old Hwy 98. Some GPS systems have a problem with addresses on Scenic Hwy 98. Also if traveling from Montgomery area toward Destin many GPS systems will take you along HWY 331 which is the long way. Therefore we have included some maps to help you plan your trip. You can also find interactive maps on our website. FROM I-65 Montgomery, AL Stay on I-65 south to Georgiana Exit (Exit 114). About 50 miles. Go left off exit. Go 3 miles and take right on Hwy 31/55. Continue through Andalusia on 55. NOTE: There is a McDonalds on left in Andalusia which is about the last "pit stop" for the next hour. Leaving Andalusia stay straight on Hwy 29.

Go 1 Mile to traffic light and take right on Antioch Road. Stay on this road until you hit Hwy 85 (a 4 lane).

7 About 10 miles past the McDonalds in Andalusia you will take a left on Hwy 137 toward Baker. Stay on this road until you hit Hwy 90 in FL. (about 32 miles). Take a left on Hwy 90. Go 1 Mile to traffic light and take right on Antioch Road. Stay on this road until you hit Hwy 85 (a 4 lane). Take 85 into Niceville until it deadends into John Sims Parkway. Take Left. Go about 6.5 miles until you see signs for MidBay Bridge. Follow signs to MidBay Bridge. Note there is a toll before the bridge. Below is a map of the route above.

CRYSTAL VIEW LOCATION. Ok so you made it across Mid-Bay bridge. Now continue straight until you hit the ocean. You will cross HWY 98 (4 lane) but keep going straight until you deadend.

Take a left on Old Scenic 98. Our condo is about 2.5 miles down on left. NOTE: The entrance can be difficult to see. Once you pass the curve (1 mi from condo) in Scenic 98 start looking for the Avalon sign. Our entrance is just past this neighborhood. 11 Our Beaches DID YOU KNOW? - Our sand comes form the Appalachian Mountains. The sand, which is finely ground quartz, is carried down the Appalachicola River and dumped into the Gulf of Mexico east of Destin. The currents carry the sand west along Florida and Alabama. Destin has some of the prettiest and whitest beaches in the world. That's really true! There are only a few places in the world that have sand as white as the Gulf Coast of Florida. Please take care of our beaches. Do not leave items on beach overnight and pick up trash when you leave. Trash cans are located at the bottom of the boardwalk. Please note per Walton County code no animals are allowed on the beach. The sand dunes are great but it is against the law to climb or play on the sand dunes. It is also against the law to pick any sea oats growing on the dunes. Beach Warning Flag System You will notice right outside Crystal View there is the beach warning flag. This is maintained by the Walton County fire department and not affiliated with Crystal View units. You should however, know what each flag means and take proper precautions.

12 History of Destin Destin is a city located on the Emerald Coast of Florida, in Okaloosa County. The city styles itself "The World's Luckiest Fishing Village", and claims to have the largest fishing vessel fleet in the state of Florida. Destin is known for its white beaches and emerald-colored waters. Originating as a small fishing village, it is now a popular tourist destination according to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, over 80 percent of the Emerald Coast's 4.5 million visitors each year visit Destin. The earliest humans in the area arrived around the year B.C. Destin is named after Captain Leonard Destin, a New London fishing master, who settled in the area around 1845 or He built a New England colonial home at the location of the Monroe Point military reservation. Captain Destin and his descendants fished the area for decades. The first condominiums were built in the 1970s, although Destin was not incorporated as a municipality until The city has experienced rapid growth since the 1980s. Destin is a principal city of the Fort Walton Beach Crestview Destin Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is located on a peninsula separating the Gulf of Mexico from Choctawhatchee Bay. The peninsula was originally an island; hurricanes and sea level changes gradually connected the island to the mainland. Destin is near several other cities in the region. The city of Fort Walton Beach, Florida is located to the west at the inlet of Santa Rosa Sound into Choctawhatchee Bay. North of Destin across the bay isniceville, Florida, with the Mid-Bay Bridge linking the two by road. At further distance are Panama City (to the east) and Pensacola (to the west), each about 50 miles away. At the western tip of the peninsula is East Pass (also known as Destin Pass), separating it from Santa Rosa Island to the west. East Pass is the only outlet of Choctawhatchee Bay into the Gulf of Mexico. Many sources claim that the pass was dug by hand with an inrush of water widening it within hours. This appears to be inaccurate: the pass appears in early maps and surveys from Spanish, French, and English surveyors, such as Thomas Jefferys's 1775 map The Coast of West Florida and Louisiana. Frequent dredging is required to keep East Pass navigable. "Crab Island," a significant sandbar located in East Pass, is a popular anchorage in the area. The entrance to Destin Harbor, a lagoon between the beaches and the main body of the western portion of the peninsula, is located just north of the East Pass jetty. The lagoon is formed by a sand spit named Holiday Isle; many condominiums have been built along the harbor since the 1970s.

FOOD IDEAS Crab Trap (about 2 minute drive from condo on Beach) Hard Rock Cafe (in Commons Mall) Zoe's (in Commons Mall - good for light lunch) Fudpuckers (See the alligators - long wait during season) Joe's Crab Shack (have a birthday here - long wait during season) Harry T's (On the Harbor) Commander's Palace (Adult fine dining on Harbor) Camilles (Better for adults - nice Sushi bar) Pompano Joes (5 minute walk on Beach) Johnny O Quigleys (Sports Bar) Cheeseburger and Paradise (We eat lunch here on Sundays) Papa Johns - They Deliver! La Rhumba (My favorite Mexican - Specials nightly) CHURCH There are many Churches in Destin welcoming visitors. We enjoy Destiny Worship which is contemporary, kid programs, and many service times. Look them up online, they have a great website and services online. About 5 minutes from condo.

14 About Us We hope you enjoy our condo as much as we have over the years. We bought CV203 back in We have a large family and CV203 was perfect for our family and because of it's size we could also have friends. After staying in CV203 for the summer of 2005 we decided to move from Alabama to Destin. So we packed everyone up including 2 cats and a dog and found a home in Destin. If you remember 2005 was the year of the hurricanes including Katrina. We actually stayed in CV203 during Katrina which was a category 1 hurricane in Destin. After Katrina we began helping with relief work in Mississippi and found a Destin mission group we worked with in Mississippi. The group also works in the Philippines and Earl has made several trips with the group to the Philippines. In 2012 we added CV404 to our condo rentals. Destin has been a great place to raise a family. The schools are great and you meet a lot of great people. We hope you enjoy our small piece of Paradise! Earl, Charla and Boys
