It s the perfect weather to get out and enjoy the plentiful outdoor play spaces mother nature has provided the cool waters of Puget Sound, warm lakes and rivers, popular hiking, biking and walking trails and Instagram-worthy views abound. 1/10

Surfs Up: Water Sports & Activities If the sunshine and the surf are practically begging you into the water, you re in luck. Snohomish County is rife with opportunities to play in the water for both amateurs and professionals alike! Try your hand at stand up paddleboarding (SUP) with Hydrology Stand Up Paddle. Take paddleboard lessons, book guided tours and take advantage of hourly self-rentals out of the Port of Everett s Jetty Landing and Boat Launch on 10th Street beginning July 5th. If you re looking to up the ante a little on your SUP experience, check out Catalyst Paddleboard Yoga for an adventure that 2/10

3 pairs yoga with stand up paddleboards. How s that for adding a little balance into your life? If you re looking for something a little more adventurous, try your hand at kiteboarding, an extreme sport that is extremely popular at Everett s Jetty Island. Or, hop in a kayak and get out and explore the county via its many waterways. The Outdoor Adventure Center in Index offers several kayaking adventures, including a 2-day river trip with camping and biking/kayaking combo trips. Or check out Wildwater River Guides for guided whitewater kayaking tour. Would you rather be below the water? Scuba divers are in luck the 27-acre Edmonds Underwater Park is the most popular dive site in Washington. Enjoy reefs and wrecks teeming with sea life the park is famous for its gator-sized lingcod, cabezone (a large, eastern Pacific fish) and forests of white and orange plumose anemones. Enjoy easy access, parking, shower/washroom facilities and a dive shop nearby. If you re interested in doing a little of everything then you must check out Sunset Bay Beach Camp in Edmonds. With a half-acre wharf, miles of sandy beach, and instruction in every imaginable water sports activity, you'll learn the fundamentals of sea kayaking, sailing, stand-up paddle boarding, wake boarding, windsurfing and more! Wetsuits and hot tubs keep everyone warm in any weather, and the program is tiered for all levels of experience and ability. Because of our ample water supply here in the Pacific Northwest, we have no shortage of beaches. If it s ocean beaches you prefer, check out some of the most beautiful beaches this area has to offer, dotting the coast of Puget Sound, including Kayak Point Regional County Park in Stanwood on Port Susan, the warm, sandy shores of Jetty Island (off the coast of Everett), Mukilteo Lighthouse Park, and Meadowdale Beach Park in Edmonds. With approximately 460 lakes in Snohomish County, we literally have hundreds of lakefront beaches all across the county. Enjoy fishing, swimming, boating and more. Some popular options include Silver Lake Swimming Beach in Everett, Martha Lake Park in Lynnwood, Lake Stevens, Lake Goodwin Community Park in Stanwood and Flowing Lake Regional Park in Snohomish. Some local favorites include Biringer Farm in Arlington, Bryant Blueberry Farm & Nursery in Arlington, Bolles Organic Farm in Monroe, Raising Cane Ranch in Snohomish, and Blueberry Blossom Farm in Snohomish. Don t feel like picking the goods yourself? No worries check out one of our many farmers markets! Featuring fresh produce, eggs, and meat, locally made cheeses, jams, honey, crafts and more, you re sure to find something to fill your shopping bags and bellies. Some of the markets also offer delectable dishes from local food vendors to nosh on, live music and entertainment to enjoy and the opportunity to shop local and support local farmers.
