3 # 26 HANA CUTURA 6-4 Junior 2V Outside Hitter Zagreb, Croatia (Sportska Gimnazija) All-American outside hitter, Cutura enters her JUNIOR season as a starting outside hitter for the Golden Bears. 5 # 2 KRISTEN KATHAN 5-6 Sophomore 2V Defensive Specialist/Libero Moraga, Calif. (Campolindo High School) Kathan enters her JUNIOR season with the Golden Bears as the incumbent starting defensive specialist/libero after posting impressive numbers as a sophomore As a SOPHOMORE, Kathan led the team in total digs with 414, good for the ninth-best single-season total in Cal history also led the team with 3.72 digs per game posted a career-high 29 digs at USC on Oct. 26 reached double-digit digs in 21 of 33 matches played, including a streak of 17-straight from Oct. 5 through Dec. 7 registered a team-high 25 digs at UCLA Oct. 27 in Cal s historic win at Pauley Pavilion notched a career-high fi ve service aces against UNC-Wilmington on Sept. 1 fi nished the season with 29 service aces, third overall on the team received Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention. 7 # 1 CARLI LLOYD 5-11 Sophomore 1V Setter Bonsall, Calif. (Fallbrook Union High School) Lloyd enters her SOPHOMORE season with the Golden Bears as the projected starting setter helped the USA A2 Red Team to an Adult Open title in Atlanta, Ga., over the summer. School Female Athlete of the Year for San Diego Hall of Champions Inductee 2007 Andi Collins Outstanding Setter Award led her club team, Epic 18-I to a third-place finish at the 2006 Junior Olympics named Junior Olympic all-tournament selection also a standout track athlete, earning 2005 Avocado League Track Athlete of the Year honors and was a two-time All-Avocado League selection CIF and state qualifier in the 110-meter hurdles and the long jump, and was the 1998 Long Jump National Champion four-year Principal s Honor Roll student. 9 # 10 KAT REILLY 6-2 Senior 2V Middle Hitter Plano, Texas (Plano East High School) Reilly enters her SENIOR year with the Golden Bears and will compete for playing time as a middle hitter serves as the president of the Cal Student-Athlete Academic Advisory Council. (Redwood High School) Schmitt enters her SOPHOMORE year with the Golden Bears and will compete for time as a defensive specialist/libero As a FRESHMAN, Schmitt participated in seven matches, notching two assists, two service aces and fi ve digs on the year had a career-high four digs at Oregon State Oct. 5.
