The Rebels hit.369 with five hitters above.300. That followed up a 3-0 weekend to capture the Rebel Classic. The Rebels have won 10 straight regular season tournament titles under head coach Steven McRoberts. Ole Miss is now 35-1 in non-conference matches under Coach McRoberts. Senior setter Aubrey Edie was named the SEC Setter of the Week. She set the career assists record in the win over NC State and now has 3,857 assists. Edie earned MVP honors, averaging assists on the weekend, as the Rebels hit.286. Edie also had 10 kills and 5 blocks, including combining on the block on match point to complete the rally against NC State. In the win over Arkansas State, Edie posted 50 assists. Sophomore right side Kathryn Cather and junior middle blocker Taylor Alexander joined Edie on the All- Tournament Team. Cather posted 13 kills and 4 blocks in the win against NC State and finished the weekend with 33 kills on a.339 pct. Alexander finished the weekend with 28 kills and hit.500. Cather followed up the weekend with a 14-kill,.500 attack percentage performance vs. Arkansas State. Alexander recorded seven blocks, five kills and hit.333 vs. the Red Wolves. Junior outside hitter Lexi Thompson secured her fourth straight double-double and sixth in seven matches with 18 kills and 11 digs to lead the Rebels against Arkansas State. The Rebels posted 10 blocks, marking the fifth time in seven matches to reach double-digits. With their.369 hitting percentage, the Rebels have hit above.200 in four of their seven matches this season and improved their overall percentage to.251. The Rebels will appear on TV at least six times this season, four on the SEC Network and twice on ESPNU. Friday s match at Lipscomb will be on EPSN3 and fans can watch via the WatchESPN app. Ole Miss will play all its home matches this season at The Pavilion at Ole Miss, while the Gillom Sports Center is undergoing a renovation. The Rebels will move back to Gillom for the 2017 season. THIS WEEK AT LIPSCOMB INVITATIONAL Ole Miss travels to Nashville, Tennessee this weekend for the Lipscomb Invitational. 2 REBEL VOLLEYBALL GAME NOTES SCOUTING LIPSCOMB Lipscomb enters Friday s match at 4-2 overall. They Lady Bison s are coming off of a 3-1 win over Miami and a 3-1 loss against No. 3 Texas. The team is led by sophomore ASUN Player of the Week, Carlyle Nusbaum. As an outside hitter, Nusbaum is averaging 4.17 kills per set. REBELS VS. LIPSCOMB Ole Miss owns a 2-0 record against Lipscomb, including a 3-1 win last year in Oxford. LOOKING AT VIRGINIA TECH The Hokies head into the weekend 4-2 overall after going 2-1 at the Puerto Rico Clasico last weekend. Junior Stacey Christy leads Virginia Tech with a.392 hitting percentage. She has hit.300 or better in all but one match this season. HOKIES Ole Miss is 2-0 all-time vs. Virginia Tech. The last time the two teams met, the Rebels defeated VT 3-0 in ALL ABOUT NORTHWESTERN Northwestern enters the weekend at 4-2. After opening the Dayton Invitational with a sweep of Chattanooga, the Wildcats dropped consecutive matches to Dayton and Xavier. The Wildcats are led by junior Symone Abbott, who is averaging 4.81 kills per set. REBELS VS. WILDCATS Northwestern leads the all-time series 3-1. The two teams last met in 2011 in Oxford, with the Rebels taking a 3-1 win in the Magnolia Invitational. ARKANSAS STATE REWIND Ole Miss remained undefeated with a 3-1 win at home against Arkansas State Tuesday night. The Rebels got off to a hot start, hitting.455 in the first set to win it and take the early momentum. They never let up dominating the second set to go into the locker room at the break up 2-0. Arkansas State rebounded in the third set, hitting.294 to stay alive for at least one more set. The Red Wolves built a 10-6 lead early and increased it to seven (19-12) late. They held on for to force a fourth set. Not wanting to go to a fifth set in back-to-back matches, Ole Miss raced out to a quick 10-4 lead in set four and never looked back, winning it to close out the win. Senior Aubrey Edie passed out 50 assists, setting up the Rebels to hit.369 in the match with five players above.300. This marks the third SEC weekly honor for Edie and the second time in her career to be named SEC Setter of the Week. Edie was named MVP of the Rebel Classic after leading Ole Miss to its 10th straight regular season tournament title. She averaged assists per set in setting up the Rebels to hit.286 for the weekend. Five hitters hit over.200, including All-Tournament team members Kathryn Cather at.339 and Taylor Alexander 2

3 at.500. Edie hit.316 for the weekend herself with 10 kills. She also had 17 digs and five blocks, including combining on the block on match point to complete the rally against NC State. Edie became the Ole Miss career record holder for assists currently with 3,857. She now holds the single-match, single-season and career records in assists at Ole Miss. 10 IN A ROW The Rebels captured their 10th straight regular season tournament title under head coach Steven McRoberts, Saturday when they defeated NC State 3-2 to win the Rebel Classic. ALL ASSISTS RECORDS BELONG TO EDIE Senior setter Aubrey Edie now holds all the assists records at Ole Miss after a record-setting night against NC State in the Rebel Classic. With 45 assists in the win, Edie became the career leader with 3,857 assists currently. She also owns the single-match (63) and single-season records (1,322) for assists. THOMPSON DOUBLING UP Junior outside hitter Lexi Thompson leads the SEC in double-doubles with six in the first seven matches. She totaled three last weekend to help lead the Rebels to the Rebel Classic title and added another in the win against Arkansas State. REBELS RECEIVING VOTES IN AVCA POLL With a 7-0 start, Ole Miss is receiving votes in the latest AVCA Poll released Monday. The Rebels picked up three votes this week to be one of 19 teams receiving votes. Ole Miss also cracked PrepVolleyball.com s Top 50 Rankings this week. SEC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS Kate Gibson - Offensive and Player of the Week MVP of North Dakota Classic. Finished the weekend averaging 4.15 kills and 2.46 digs per set. Set a single match record with a career-high 27 kills in the 3-2 win at UND, as the Rebels totaled a single match record of 80 kills Aubrey Edie - SEC Setter of the Week MVP of Rebel Classic. One Team, One Goal. After coming close to making the NCAA Tournament the first two years under head coach Steven McRoberts, the Rebels are hoping to not only put themselves in position for a berth late in the season, but to FIN1SH. McROBERTS ERA STARTS STRONG The Steven McRoberts era is off to a solid start with year three underway. McRoberts inherited a team that in the two years prior posted a overall record and finished at the bottom of the SEC standings. Two years later it s safe to say the Rebels are trending up, with their first back-to-back 20-win seasons in three decades, and consecutive finishes in the top half of the league standings. The Rebels have won 10 straight regular season tournament titles and set a school record with 13 home wins in Numerous individual and team records were broken in just his first two years, while players earned All-America, All-Region and All-SEC honors. THE NORM FOR COACH McROBERTS Head coach Steven McRoberts has led a team to at least 20 wins in 18 of his 19 seasons as a head coach, including the first year in each of his stops. OLE MISS SPANS THE COUNTRY The 16 players on the 2015 Ole Miss volleyball team come from 11 different states. The Rebels boast three 3

4 players from Texas, two from Alabama, Kansas and Louisiana, and one each from Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Dakota and South Carolina. REBELS ON SEC NETWORK Ole Miss will be on the SEC Network four times. The team s Oct. 2 match against Arkansas will be televised on the SEC Network at 5 p.m. For the third straight year, the Rebels and Tigers of LSU will square off in Oxford on the SEC Network, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. The Rebels Oct. 9 match vs. Texas A&M (3 p.m.) and the Nov. 16 match at Mississippi State will also be televised on the SEC Network. REBELS ON ESPNU Ole Miss will also appear on ESPNU twice this year, beginning with a match at Missouri (12 p.m.) on Sept. 25. The Rebels match against Auburn on Oct. 19 will also be on ESPNU at 8 p.m. This marks the fourth year in a row for the Rebels to be on ESPNU. OLE MISS IN REGULAR SEASON TOURNAMENTS Ole Miss has experienced success in regular season tournaments, as the Rebels hold a mark in tournaments played during the regular season since In 2015, the Rebels went 14-0 in their four tournaments, capturing the Magnolia Invitational, the Hilton Garden Inn Classic, the Rebel Classic and the Fight Like Hal Memorial Tournament. Ole Miss has won both its opening tournaments this year, the North Dakota Classic and the Rebel Classic. OLE MISS PICKED 12TH IN SEC PRESEASON COACHES POLL The league s coaches picked Ole Miss to finish 12th in the preseason SEC Poll announced last week, but in McRoberts first two years, the Rebels were picked 10th and eighth, respectively, and finished in the top half in the final standings. EDIE ON CNT For the second time in her career, senior setter Aubrey Edie was selected to train and compete with the USA Volleyball Collegiate National Team. Edie spent a week in Indianapolis back in June, training with fellow CNT members. Athletes participating on the U.S. Women s Collegiate National Team were selected from the U.S. Women s National Team Open Tryouts held Feb at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. The Rebels have had a player make the Collegiate National Team every year under McRoberts. HOME SWEET HOME The Gillom Sports Center has proven to be one of the most intimidating places to play with its tight seating and loud acoustics, but this year, the Rebels will play all home matches in The Pavilion at Ole Miss, while Gillom undergoes a renovation. Dating back to the 2006 season, the Rebels have posted a home record. The Rebels set the record for most home wins in a season in 2015 with a 13-5 record. GILLOM UNDER CONSTRUCTION Since 1997, the Ole Miss volleyball team has called the Gillom Sports Center home and when the team returns to their normal home in 2017, it will look a lot different. Plans include additional seating, concession stands and restrooms above the seating area, enhanced locker room/team rooms and a full-size weightroom and training room. Beginning next season, players will be able to practice, lift weights and receive treatment all inside Gillom. REBELS EARN PUBLIC RECOGNITION The Ole Miss volleyball team hasn t only performed on the court, they ve also served up aces in the classroom. In April the Rebels were recognized among the elite academic programs in the country in volleyball with the NCAA s announcement of the public recognition awards. The Rebels received the prestigious honor for their latest Academic Progress Rates (APR). The teams that were recognized posted multi-year APRs in the top 10 percent of all squads in each sport. The Rebels posted a perfect 1000 and earned the award for the fifth time and fourth year in a row. The Rebels were one of 100 Division I programs and only three SEC teams to earn the recognition. Four of the six freshmen earned a 4.0. ALUMNI NEWS After a record-setting career at Ole Miss, Rebel volleyball alum Nakeyta Clair set off on a new adventure across the Atlantic Ocean, where she signed a pro contract with Hylte/Halmstad Club in Halmstad, Sweden. She will spending the next eight months there. During her four-year career holding down the middle for the Rebels, Clair became the second All-American in the history of the program and was a two-time AVCA All-Region and All-SEC selection. She holds the career and single-season records for total blocks, block assists and block solos. Clair also ranks second all-time in kills and holds the single-season record. 4
