VERSUS THE BULLDOG INVITATIONAL FIELD Bethune-Cookman: Georgia is 1-0 all time against Bethune-Cookman, winning 3-0 in McNeese State: First meeting. Bulldog Invitational Record: 1-8 Hit Pct:.090 Kills/Set: 9.8 Assists/Set: 9.3 Aces/Set: 0.7 Digs/Set: 14.7 Blocks/Set: 1.6 South Alabama: The Bulldogs hold the advantage of 5-1 against South Alabama, taking down the Jaguars 3-0 in the last meeting in BULLDOGS EARN PROGRAM S 800TH WIN With a 3-1 win over Florida A&M, Georgia marked its 800th win in program history, moving its all-time record to The fast start to the year boosted the Bulldogs quickly to that ninth win of the season, giving Georgia its best start under sixth-year head coach Lizzy Stemke and the best start since going 9-1 in Georgia has five seasons with better starts that this year, including 1982 s 25-0 record. Other years include 1980 (10-1), 1985 (16-1), 1989 (11-1) and 1993 (21-1). BULLDOGS SERVING UP ACES Georgia proves to be aggressive at the service line, currently leading the SEC with 1.89 aces per set. A big part of that is the fact that three Bulldogs have double-digit aces this year--cassidy Anderson, Maddie Lobenstein and Sydney Gilliam. Anderson and Lobenstein rank second and fourth, respectively, in the SEC rankings for the stat, as Georgia joins Florida as the only teams with two players in that top 10. The duo are also top 30 nationally in aces per set with Georgia being the only school with two players in the top 30 of Division I. MCCRAY FINDS HOT HAND AGAINST FLORIDA A&M Desiree McCray had the hot hand on Tuesday night, leading the team with 15 kills in the win over the Rattlers. The redshirt senior s kills tied her career high she had against Arkansas in 2014 while she also hit at a.684 clip as she had just two errors on 19 swings. Her hitting percentage is the best of the season for herself and among all Bulldogs, but is shy of her career-high.750 versus Hofstra last season. Top Stat Leaders DESIREE MCCRAY - Tied career high with 15 kills vs. FAMU - Hit season-best.684 vs. Rattlers - Ranked top 10 in SEC with 1.09 blocks/set Record: 3-9 Hit Pct:.162 Kills/Set: 11.1 Assists/Set: 10.4 Aces/Set: 0.8 Digs/Set: 14.4 Blocks/Set: 1.2 Record: 7-3 Hit Pct:.237 Kills/Set: 12.1 Assists/Set: 11.3 Aces/Set: 1.5 Digs/Set: 13.1 Blocks/Set: 1.9 CASSIDY ANDERSON - Posted career-high 29 digs vs. FAMU - Named to Georgia Challenge All-Tourney - Second in SEC in aces and fourth in digs MEGHAN DONOVAN - Named to Georgia Challenge All-Tourney - Tabbed double-double vs. Georgia Tech/FAMU - Had seven blocks vs. KSU

RATTLERS The backcourt held its own vs. Florida A&M, putting up 75 total digs, the most since 72 vs. Texas A&M in Anderson set a new career high in the match with 29 digs, making it three times in her career to eclipse the 20-dig plateau. Anderson has moved herself up to fourth in the SEC with 4.17 digs per set while the team is second after posting 15.4 digs per set. SEEING DOUBLE-DOUBLES Three Bulldogs tabbed double-doubles during the Georgia Challenge, including Caroline Ostman with the first of her career. Ostman had 10 kills and 11 digs in the sweep of Kennesaw State, joining Maddie Lobenstein as she had 10 kills and 13 digs vs. the Owls. Lobenstein tacked on her fifth double-double of the year against Georgia State with 11 kills and 11 digs before Donovan finished out the weekend with the team s final double-double of 30 assists and 14 digs against Georgia Tech. The freshman then turned around to secure her third one of the season with 42 assists and 10 digs against Florida A&M on Tuesday. ANDERSON, DONOVAN NAMED TO ALL-TOURNEY TEAM Cassidy Anderson and Meghan Donovan each earned a spot on the Georgia Challenge All-Tournament Team after solid play in each of the three games. Anderson led the Bulldogs with 43 digs while helping Georgia hold its opponents to a.135 hitting mark. Posting double-digit digs in all three games, including tying her season-high 17 digs vs. Kennesaw State, Anderson moved up to sixth in the SEC with 3.77 digs per set this season. Donovan has made it 3-for-3 on all-tournament teams in this non-conference run. The freshman tallied a double-double in a close battle with Georgia Tech, as she notched 30 assists and 14 digs in the match. Donovan finished with a.348 hitting mark on eight kills and 94 assists. Defensively, the Missouri native finished the tournament with 13 blocks after having a personal-best seven against the Owls. BULLDOG DEFENSE STEPPING UP Georgia s defense has stepped up this season, as the team leads the SEC with a.137 opponent attack percentage. The game against Georgia Tech was the first time this season that the Bulldogs allowed an opponent to hit better than.200 with Florida A&M putting up the next highest at.170. At the net, Georgia has outblocked its opponents 83-57, as Majesti Bass leads the way with 38. Bass led the team in the trio of games in Atlanta with 14 with half of those coming against Georgia State. Bass and Desiree McCray are both in the top 10 of the SEC rankings for blocks per set, as Bass is second and McCray ninth. McCray has found herself in the top 10 of the league consistently the last two seasons. SEC HONORS DONOVAN AS FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK After leading the Georgia volleyball team to a perfect 3-0 record at the Beantown Challenge, setter Meghan Donovan was named the SEC Freshman of the Week. Donovan dished out 118 assists in the trio of games, guiding the Bulldog offense to a.312 hitting mark. Five of Georgia s main attackers hit over.260 for the weekend while the St. Louis, Missouri, native had 12 kills herself to go with 18 digs and eight blocks. Donovan helped the Bulldogs to a comeback, five-set win at Boston College en route to her first career double-double of 46 assists and 12 digs. BASS SETS CAREER BEST IN BEANTOWN CHALLENGE Majesti Bass is making her presence known on the court, and setting career-best numbers on the way. In the five-set win at Boston College, Bass put up a career-high eight kills and 10 blocks, which is tied for the third highest blocking total by a player this season in the SEC. The Georgia native went on to boast a new personalbest hitting percentage the next day, hitting.455 in the sweep of Siena. ACADEMIC HONORS FOR VOLLEYBALL The Bulldogs were putting in work in the classroom as well last year. Four of this year s returners were named to the Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll for having a 3.0 GPA or higher: Amanda Dachs, Kendall Kazor, Elle McCord and Megan Spencer. All six of the returning sophomores were also honored, as their 3.0 or higher GPA had them among the honorees of the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll. SIX GAMES TO BE NATIONALLY TELEVISED Georgia volleyball will have six matches nationally televised during the 2016 season. Five of the 18 conference matches will be on the SEC Network, as Georgia s first televised match will come on September 21 when the Bulldogs travel to Kentucky. The SEC Network will broadcast four road matches during the month of October, including the contests at South Carolina (Oct. 7), Auburn (Oct. 12), Florida (Oct. 23) and Arkansas (Oct. 30. Ramsey Center will get its chance to shine on national television when ESPNU comes to Athens and airs the match against Florida on November 2. OLYMPIC BULLDOGS Two former Bulldogs represented their home countries on the biggest international stage at the 2016 Olympics. Alexandra Oquendo ( ) played indoor volleyball for Puerto Rico while Britta Büthe (2007) took to the sand to represent Germany. With those two, Georgia has had three former players compete in the Summer Olympics, as Elizabeth Reid ( ) joined Great Britain in the 2012 London Games. I have always been a big fan of the analytic and creative balance. I didn t want to let that part of me go in college. Kazor is majoring in marketing with a minor in studio art. It s three of a kind for the Spencers, as Megan is a triplet with two sisters, Sarah and Emily. All three played volleyball at some point in their life, as Megan attributes her sisters to pushing her to her on-court success. A strong golfer, Laney has been playing since she was little. My dad loves golf, so being able to go out and play with him was always fun. Laney says golf has helped her handle pressure situations in volleyball games.
