2 Vietnam ONE OF THE BEST LOCATION SOUNDS Effective sound without being louder Audible through all ambient traffic noise Easy to locate the source of the sound Not mistakable with other sounds in the urban environment Minimum disturbance for neighbors Comparison of sounds There are sounds that perhaps are stronger and more disturbing, but still: not always audible in traffic environment often more like a fire alarm, very hard to locate. All these requirements are met in Prisma Daps unique original sound and the new technics in the Prisma Daps 2000 series Prisma Daps original sound: Prisma_Sound_05.wav 2 Prisma Daps prismatibro.se

3 FOUR SAFE STEPS ACROSS THE STREET Visual, tactile and audible information from Prisma Daps will help you locate and cross the street safely. SENSE OF SAFETY Locate intersection Tick-tick-tick The characteristic location sound helps all pedestrians, including sight impaired, to locate the crosswalk. The ambient noise control will adjust the volume to the surroundings. Orientation Information about the intersection is given by a tactile map with relief symbols, or eye sight. To help pedestrians locate the direction of the crosswalk, there is a tactile arrow on top of the unit. Time to cross Determine when to cross When the traffic light changes from red to green, there is a distinct change in the sound or/and the sound pulse rate. In the same way the vibration tells you when it is green light and safe to cross the street. The volume level is automatically adjusted to ambient noise. Cross the street safely Follow the sound Following the locator tone from the opposite side of the crosswalk, the pedestrians will safely find their way across the street. Hearing Vision Tactility Location sound: tick, tick, tick Prisma Tibro original sound Notification sound: Beep Traffic signal out of order, emergency warnings, road work, tourist information. LED light ring: Notification or constant light LED in front: Notification Red light = Error Direction arrow Vibrator in bottom lid Relief symbols prismatibro.se Prisma Daps 3

5 TRAFFIC SAFETY FOR EVERYONE IMPAIRED HEARING OR VISION Prisma Daps is developed in collaboration with the National Association of the visually Impaired. The signal is made to meet the requirements of any pedestrian, including those with some kind of disability, like impaired hearing or vision. THE FUNCTIONALITY IN PRISMA DAPS IS A HELP FOR ALL PEOPLE: Pedestrians, cyklists, wheelchair bound - all. Sound, vibration and tactile information are appreciated by everybody in such a way that it become a natural part of crossing the street. No one is to be prevented from crossing the street where a pedestrian signal from Prisma Tibro is installed.
