8 NEEDS BENEFITS Most communities require improvements to make it easier and safer for people to walk for pleasure and transportation. Walkable communities save lives, improve health, and expand economic growth. HOW IMPACT We work to improve walkability through advocacy, education, and coordination efforts across Washington. Our efforts have helped make more communities throughout Washington state safe for walking.
