1 COMPETITIVE SOCCER PARENT/PLAYER/COACH AGREEMENT Welcome to Coronado Athletic Club! MISSION STATEMENT The Coronado Athletic Club is dedicated to the complete development of the student athlete. We will continue to emphasize education and sportsmanship as the foundation of our program. Winning in life is the ultimate achievement and the friendships born through athletic competition are the true rewards. The competitive soccer program is intended to provide: Talented young athletes the opportunity to develop their athletic skills and sportsmanship-like attitudes in a more competitive atmosphere. A good feeling about yourself, self-confidence, and camaraderie with others. Understanding that perfect practice makes perfect play. Realizing there is no I in team. The team concept is important not only in sports but will also prepare you for future endeavors with friends and professional life. Preparing to play middle/high school soccer and beyond. Creating an opportunity to compete on a state-wide and national level. Learning to respect yourself, your teammates, and your coaches, no matter what level of success you have on the field. Soccer is a team sport. The competitive soccer team system is set up to give the team a chance to learn how to win, to be safe, and to have fun. In order to meet these requirements, the following rules are enforced: RULE #1 Be at every practice on time, ready to play. Do not leave early or make it a social gathering. RULE #2 Players WILL NOT criticize other players (or themselves) on or off the field. This takes away from the team concept. RULE #3 Players aged 11 and below are not allowed to be dropped at any training/game location without supervision.

2 RULE #4 Players will play positions assigned by the coach and will show appropriate respect at all times. Learning all positions within the team will greatly enhance your own skills and abilities. RULE #5 Players are required to travel to out of town tournaments and league games. RULE #6 Players, parents and coaches must abide by the rules herein, and in addition, Arizona Youth Soccer Association (AYSA) and Pima County Junior Soccer League (PCJSL) Codes of Conduct. RULE #7 Players/parents must participate in fund-raising efforts or make a donation of an amount to be agreed upon between the coach, manager, and parents. RULE #8 Playing time will be determined by Coaches. Every effort will be made by coaches to ensure each player gets playing time. There will be no minimum playing time. RULE #9 Being part of a Club offers opportunities for players to play up with older teams and/or lateral play to higher level teams. This privilege is earned and can be withdrawn at any time if the player has discipline or behavioral issues. COACHES, PARENTS, PLAYERS, AND SPECTATORS Coaches, parents, and spectators should set a high standard of behavior for the boys and girls including: Not using inappropriate language. No differences should be addressed in front of the team or at the field. Constructive criticism is encouraged. Complaints without proposed solutions are not. Treat referees with respect without them we have no games. Maintain a respectful attitude toward all players, parents and coaches at all times. Coaches are responsible to correct poor play. Spectators are responsible for supporting good play with positive comments. Parents should attend all parent/team meetings whenever possible. Players agree to: Make every effort to develop their own sporting ability, in terms of skill, technique, tactics, and stamina Give maximum effort and strive for the best possible performance during a game, even if the team is in a position where the desired result has already been achieved. Set a positive example for others, particularly young players and supporters. Avoid all forms of gamesmanship. Always have regard to the best interests of the game, including where publicly expressing an opinion on the game and any particular aspect of it, including others involved in the game.

3 Not use inappropriate language. Make every effort consistent with Fair Play and the Laws of the Game to help the team win. Know and abide by the Laws, rules and spirit of the game, and the competition rules. Accept success and failure, victory and defeat, equally. Resist any temptation to take banned substances or use banned techniques Treat opponents with due respect at all times, irrespective of the result of the game. Safeguard the physical fitness of opponents, avoid violence and rough play and help injured opponents. Accept the decision of the Referee without protest. Avoid words or actions that may mislead a Referee. Show due respect towards Referee. Abide by the instructions of their Coach and Team Officials, provided they do not contradict the spirit of this Code. Show due respect towards the Team Officials of the opposition. Show due respect to club board members, team managers, and volunteers A player should always show due respect to the interests of supporters In addition, Coaches agree to: Establish a set of team rules and regulations and enforce them equitably throughout the season. Hold an initial parent/coach meeting, and remain approachable throughout the season to address any concerns. At this meeting: o o o Team rules/regulations will be distributed. The coach will review his/her plans, philosophy, and projected areas of concentration based on evaluations. Plans for the season, such as tournaments, will be presented to parents and players, discussed and agreed upon. LEAGUE AND TOURNAMENT PLAY League games in Tucson in Fall and Spring and select tournaments decided upon by the coach with parent input. TOURNAMENT FEES AND TRAVEL COSTS Tournament fees will be collected by means of team fund-raisers and/or parent donation in an amount to be decided between coach, team manager, and parents. These fund raising events will be organized by the team coach/manager and the funds collected will be managed by each individual team. All travel, lodging, and food costs for tournaments and league play is the sole responsibility of the player and their family. No player should be prevented from traveling to a

4 tournament due to cost. Team fund-raisers can also be used to offset travel costs, optional uniform items and team morale boosting events. SEASONS Season 1 - Summer/Fall (Aug thru Dec) Season 2 - Winter/Spring (Jan thru Apr) It is required that players and parents honor commitments made to teams and coaches. In order to be a successful competitive, travel soccer program, players and parents must understand that attendance at tournaments, league play, seasonal, regional and state playoffs are necessary for the team's success. FIELD SPACE Field space will be provided for practice purposes by the Club. VOLUNTEER HOURS Parental involvement is a very important part of your commitment. Participation is required from parents and players in order to ensure the Coronado Athletic Club Competitive soccer program will continue flourish and be productive. Full Registration Fees and uniform fees are payable for all players. See team manager for more information.

No player should be prevented from playing competitively due to the cost. Payment plans and individual needs will be addressed in a private manner (please see team manager or coach). REQUIRED UNIFORM ITEMS Required uniform items are as follows: Under Armor Fixture Jersey (red and white), Under Armor Fixture Shorts (red), Under Armor Soccer Socks (red and white), and gray training jersey. Uniform Fee for new players is included in the registration fee. Uniforms for any new players must be coordinated through team manager to avoid duplicate jersey numbers OPTIONAL UNIFORM ITEMS Optional items such as fan gear, training jerseys, warm ups, and backpacks can be purchased anytime online at THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL NEED TO BE TURNED IN TO YOUR TEAM MANAGER/COACH: New Players: Copy of birth certificate Passport Style Digital Photograph for player card Registration Fee Signed US Club Medical Release Signed copy of this Contract Signed AYSA Medical Release Current Players Passport Style Digital Photograph for player card* Registration Fee Signed US Club Medical Release** Signed copy of this Contract Signed AYSA Medical Release * Only if appearance has substantially changed. ** Only if contact information or emergency contacts have changed TERMINATION OF THIS CONTRACT This agreement may be terminated by either party with two weeks notice, unless a player is terminated due to discipline problems on or off the field. If full season fee was paid a prorated amount will be refunded Military members are exempt from the two weeks notice to quit upon proof of PCS.

6 CORONADO ATHLETIC CLUB COMPETITIVE SOCCER PROGRAM PLAYER/PARENT/COACH AGREEMENT Date I,, parent of, a player on the & under Coronado Athletic Club, have reviewed and discussed with the coaches and my child the rules and regulations of the competitive teams. I agree to accept and abide by these rules and will be a positive, supportive influence to my child, the other players, coaches, and the team in general. I have been made aware of the travel commitment and understand what is required as a parent and as a player, and will give 100%. I will be available/make my player available for tournaments, league games, and practices. I have also been made aware of the fund raise or donate policy for tournament entry fees, the two weeks quit notice, and the refund policy.
