2 CrossFit This competition is unique in that it is the only CrossFit competition in New Zealand designed by and for current Police sworn and non-sworn personnel. Registrations via to Anton Date: Friday 1 September 2017 Rugby The Police Association National Rugby Tournament is being run over the three days at the Rotorua International Stadium. This competition also doubles as a trial for selection in the NZ Police team. The current holder of the trophy is Auckland. Contact Stephen Cross stephen.cross@police.govt.nz in the first instance with your team. Volleyball The Police Association National Volleyball Tournament is being run over the three days at the Energy Events Centre (number of teams will dictate the format of the tournament). In the first instance, contact Toni Wall toni.wall@police.govt.nz in Dunedin.
3 Netball The Police Association National Netball Tournament is being run over the two days at the Energy Events Centre. This competition also doubles as a trial for selection in the NZ Police team. We are proposing to again hold both a competitive and social competition. Karen (KJ) Skudder Karen.Skudder@police.govt.nz is the best first point of contact. If you want to play and are not currently in a team contact KJ and she may be able to place you in a team. Football The Police Association National Football Tournament is being run over the three days at the Rotorua International Stadium fields. This competition also doubles as a trial for selection in the NZ Police team. Curt Kyd curt.kyd@police.govt.nz is the best first point of contact. If you want to play and are not currently in a team, speak to Kurt and he may be able to place you in a team. Golf! Golf will be offered in the Winter Games. A 36 hole Stableford tournament to be held Thursday 31 st Aug and the morning of Friday 1 st Sept. Contact Kerry Fenton Kerry.fenton@polcie.govt.nz Entries capped at first 52 people. Only available to Police Sport Members.
4 Cross Country Running The Police Association National Cross Country Running Race is to be held on Wednesday 30 th August. The point of contact is Graham Perks Mountain Biking The Mountain Bike race is to be held on Thursday 31 st August on the Skyline Tracks of Mt Nongataha. Ride the Gondola up, and ride your bike down!! The point of contact is Chrissy Lunt Endurance Race The inaugural Police Sport Endurance race will take place on Friday 1 st September. It will involve running and mountain biking, and will be achievable for all. 5 Squash The Police Association National Squash Tournament is being held at the Lakes High Squash Club over the 3 days). This will cater to all grades and skill levels for both men and women. The point of contact is Mike Owen, Michael.Owen@police.govt.nz Rafting The event will be on the 31 st August and will be from 10am -2pm. We will have 3 heats of 6 teams (18 teams in total) and then first and second from each heat will go into the final of six teams. More information to Aaron Aaron.holloway@police.govt.nz Date: Thursday 31 st August 2017 Police Sport Non Sweating Triathlon This will be a fun event run over the three days in your free time. More details on what is involved will be out shortly. No Lycra required!! There may be some additional costs.
6 REGISTRATION PACKS You will be able to collect your Registration Pack from the Energy Events Centre at the following times: Tuesday 29 August 3pm 7pm Wednesday 30 August 7.30am 8.45am There will be a Powhiri at the Energy Events Centre 9am Wednesday 30 August. FINAL FUNCTION There will be socials functions every night MORE ON THESE IN COMING WEEKS.
