3 Celebrates Downton Abbey Sunday, March 7PM Members of the cast and crew of Downton Abbey attended the BAFTA Tribute to celebrate the outstanding global success of the program. Created by BAFTA-nominated screenwriter Julian Fellowes, Downton Abbey follows the lives of the Crawley family - and their staff - after their estate is left without an heir following the sinking of the Titanic in The series has so far been nominated for 14 BAFTAs, winning three times. The BAFTA Tribute comes as the drama draws to a close this year after six hugely successful series. The Special Award was presented in front of a live audience at Richmond Theatre.
