As you play the music you should do: Hello Sun, Hello Earth, Roadrunner (beep beep), snake (hiss) Dog (woof) Hello Earth, Hello Sun. Repeat this three times for a high energy warm up. Adventure: 22 mins Uh! Oh! Grass! Long, wavy grass. Swishy Swashy x three (leg raises). 1
2 Uh! Oh! A river! A deep, cold river Splash Splosh x three (dive and volcano for swimming). Uh! Oh! Mud! Thick oozy mud! Squelch squerch x three (Mud walking). 2
3 We re not scared. (Tadasana hands on hips, neck turns). Uh! Oh! A forest! A big, dark forest. Can t go under it snake) Can t go over it (dog) Stumble trip x three (tree walk through the trees to see if you can make them wobble then see if they re as good on the other side!) Uh! Oh! A snowstorm! A swirling whirling snowstorm. Hooo Whoo! X three (washing machine). We re going to catch a big one 3
4 Uh! Oh! A cave! A narrow gloomy cave. Tiptoe x three (Princess) What s that? One wet shiny nose! (massage nose). Two big furry ears! (massage ears). Two big googly eyes! (eye exercises, up, down, side to side, round an round). IT S A BEAR! (Lion). Quick! Back through the cave! Tiptoe x three (Princess). Back through the snowstorm! Hooo Whooo! X three (washing machine). Back through the forest! Stumble trip x three (tree both sides). Back through the mud! Squelch squerch x three (Mud walking). Back through the river! Spash splosh x three (dive and volcano for swimming). Back through the grass! Sqishy swashy x three (leg raises). Get to the front door. Open door (gate). 4
5 Upstairs (run on spot). Oh no! Forgot to shut door! Back downstairs (run on spot). Shut door (gate other side). Back upstairs (run on spot). Into bedroom Into bed (corpse). Under covers (pull up covers). WE RE NOT GOING ON A BEAR HUNT AGAIN! Relaxation and Visualisation: 5 mins We ve had fun exploring on our bear hunt and we finally met a bear! He was a little scary but I think he was just letting us know, in the way that bears do, that he wasn t very keen on being disturbed! We re home safe and sound now so close your eyes and be very still. Feel your whole body relax into the bed. Let your legs relax on the sheets. Let your back melt into the soft comfy bed. Let your arms relax beside you. Your head too, feels relaxed on the feathery pillow. Remember going through the lovely long grass, swimming across the cool blue river, going through sticky mud, walking through the beautiful green forest and encountered a pretty snowstorm! What was your favourite part? Wake children up with snuggle from teddy bear! 5
6 Games and Activities: 10 mins The Monster Game The children are shown the various Monster Poses 1. Scary Feet (cactus) 2. Top Bunk (standing Lion) 3. Bottom Bunk (lion on knees) 4. Kids awake (lie in corpse pose) 5. Monster Hide (child pose) The teacher s job is to shout out the various postures and the children have to them quickly and get them right. 6
